The city said no to taking over the shit down YMCA at Resolute. They calculated they needed 5000 members to start for it to make sense. Too big a risk for city so they’re leaving it to the private world if someone wants to step up and open it up. Das Rec projected only a few thousand members when it first open. I heard it’s up to 17,000 members now. Another Bucees very unlikely to happen. What city has two bucees?
Any idea what businesses will occupy the new spaces near QT off 306? And any word on what happened to El Nopalito restaurant off 306? I love your channel & always look forward to updates on the city. Thank you!
It’s up to Sprouts. Location is important. I do think we need more grocery options. I do like HEB but it’s not a central market where you can get healthier foods and even prepared meals
@@raadalawanrealtorPlaces like Merit and Brown coffee in San Antonio or Houndsooth and Flat Track in Austin. They are a style of coffee shops that treat coffee more like the wine industry when it comes to sourcing high quality coffee beans
@@ryanclark4874 thanks. And maybe with the changing demographic here, that becomes more a reality. Maybe creekside, possibly downtown IF it's local. If not, forget it. Also, commercial space is popping up in front of Vintage Oaks. I'm familiar with quality coffee beans where I grew up, and it truly is an experience.
@@raadalawanrealtor I believe it is. Some of them sell food and it's basically a bar. They just have a lot of professional tables. During week days tables are about $10/hr and as many players can play. Weekends tables run $20-$35/hr. They play music and have full bars and a kitchen. Plus those places usually host pool tournaments that bring players from the whole region. I believe it'll do very well in New Braunfels
American food! Cafe or bistro type places. No more Mexican, burgers, bbq, or fast food. We have so much already. Possibly another chick fil a. I’d love to see a sprouts grocery and/or Trader Joe’s.
It would be great to have a sports team in New Braunfels, TX. Here is what makes sense. If San Antonio can get a major league team, then they can move the missions to New Braunfels, TX. I hope something happens like that in the future. If not then I am okay with sports in San Antonio. 😊
be okay with sports in San Antonio. No pro teams here. Simply, the population nor infrastructure can support it. Maybe a single A or double a team. Austin doesn't even have a team, and they're close to a million population.
Whole Foods, Restoration Hardware, oh and a Lifetime Fitness Center!
Proposed large gym coming to Creekside. Stay tuned. It's not a lifetime
Healthy eating and upscale home stores such as the Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma and Whole Foods..
Whole Foods would be nice but where would you put it?
Frontage in Veramendi
@@raadalawanrealtorI read Whole Foods was coming! What happened? Then I heard a rumor that it would be on the 306 loop. There’s plenty of room.
@@damali. where did you read it?
@@raadalawanrealtor Community Impact NB Edition in a past issue, possibly last year. Been holding on to that. 🙏🏾
I would love to see an Aldi grocery store.. in New Braunfels .. and a rosatis pizza as well
I'd love to have a cheesecake factory, a large book store, a cava restaurant and other healthy eating options
I’m all for healthy eating options 👍🏻
Yes on Cava. Yum!
We need sprouts and trader joe
I would love a Sprouts in New Braunfels, but I think New Braunfels is too small for a Sprouts.
A grocery store is gonna be built next door to Home Goods. Not sure which one, but I'd imagine it's a Sprouts
Great content! Keep it up!
Thank you Kristi
Top Golf will be next to the apartments Avenue at Creekside
you mean the land that's been empty between the apartments and petsmart, dicks sporting goods and across the way from hobby lobby?
Oh and another Das Rec on Bucees side cause das rec in landa is full :-)

8:00 parks, better roads, lower taxes!!!
Hi, would a store be able to be put in that space after Ross, Dicks sporting Goods, A beauty salon... then... maybe Trader Joes, or Whole Foods??
Not sure what would make sense there but Whole Foods though typically have frontage and not tucked away
If I had any say, I’d put Sprouts off Creekside, Whole Foods where Tuesday Morning used to be and Trader Joes where TJs Burgers used to be. 😊
@@damali. i don't think Michael's is zoned for Whole Foods/grocer
Glad Top Golf coming to the area, as Texas is Golf USA.
Old navy, academy, mamacitas scholotzky on 306. Bed bath beyond, red Robin, Culver's, shipleys on 306, kirklands,Kirkland, party city, sketchers 8:03
I’d like to to see a CoWorking space near downtown New Braunfels like Seguin has. I know there used to be one here a few years ago.
Perhaps with the future Castell Avenue Project
We lived in SoCal for 8 years and got hooked on Fatburger. The burgers, fries and shakes are to die for…simply the best we have ever had.
That’s what I hear.
Skating rink
One may be coming. Watch for the new coming to New Braunfels video in April
I would love Sprouts, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and H Mart :-)
Which one if you can ONLY have one?
Sprouts
I'd love to see more places for pre teens and teens to gather. Possibly a skating rink, or lazer tag kinda place.
Anything geared toward families is a good candidate
I love the expansion, but HATING all these apartments being built. It's make the city look horrible as there is already plenty.

We want to see food that isn't the same ol boring uninspired burgers wings and fried food. It's honestly a joke they're adding even more.
there's new and DIFFERENT coming to downtown NB end of year or beginning of next
More local/specialty coffee shops
There’s one in Gruene, I believe Gruene coffee company, the coffee place downtown, and a few others. Specialty imported coffee?

How about a pool hall. We need one here in NB.
None of the bars have pool tables?
