I swear by the dove SPRAY antiperspirant, but the ones that have the “invisible on 100 colors” label. It really is invisible and works better than any clinical strength stick
Those are the ones I use. Once I used it for the first time I never went back to any others. I just wish they'd keep all of the scents stocked because that's the biggest issue I have with the product. Then again it being out of stock just proves that it's much loved, lol...
I have both 0.025% and 0.05% Tretinoin. I use them on alternate days and give a break Day 1: 0.025% Day 2: 0.05% Day 3: No tretinoin night Day 4: 0.025% Day 5: 0.05% ..and so on I've started using a multipeptide after tretinoin, followed by a ceramide moisturizer and rosehip oil. This routine doesn't dry my skin at all. I have oily skin but still my skin would dry up after tretinoin plus winter season. During summer season I'll just skip the rosehip oil.
I do something similar; regular shampoo with a condition every 2-ish months for the natural bristle brushes. I see no reason to buy a shampoo/cleaner for my brushes when I go through shampoo at what feels like a glacial pace.
I was finishing up the Urban Decay Hydromaniac at the same time as you. I’m more oily and it was too dewey and I like a little more coverage. I mixed it with Estée Lauder double wear and it was beautiful. That was the most beautiful foundation combo I’ve ever done. I finished them both but can’t justify spending that much to get them both again.
That’s a huge empties great job! A recommendation for the elf primer would be buying the mini to try at least is an option for both. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! 😊🎉
I use the same makeup sponge and I purchased the packs off of amazon. It’s a fantastic blending sponge. I got into the habit of washing it nightly after applying my skincare. I found washing it nightly with a gentle face wash, (i use Vanicream Gentle face wash), works great with it. Before I used to only wash my sponge along with makeup brushes once a week but I like to use it for loose setting powder daily. I noticed my makeup wouldn’t apply the same despite not changing products/skincare prep. After switching to nightly cleaning and allowing it to air dry on a stand in my bed room or kitchen i haven’t noticed any issues! After purchasing the packs I like to use a new one monthly. It’s wasteful, I know, but my skin is acne prone and it helped significantly with preventing breakouts.
I recommend the Schick Hydro Silk Touch Up dermaplaning razors. I've been using those for several years and I like them a lot! They're also pretty affordable. All the dermaplaning tools I've seen have the little ridges on them. The only way to avoid that would be to purchase an actual straight razor, but I'd be scared to use one of those as they are really sharp. I saw that Tweezerman makes a dermaplaning razor that you can purchase razor blades for if you want to minimize plastic waste as well. I may look into that for the new year.
I have a mini of the Elf niacinamide primer and I really like it! It’s tacky but not too much, and a little goes a long way so I think the mini will last a long time :)
Sarah I was having issues with an itchy scalp so I ordered apple cider vinegar shampoo that was safe for colored hair and liked it but then went to my hairsylist and told her and she told me to try tea tree shampoo and love it I use the one by paul mitchell its pricey but color safe
Trader Joe's makes a similar shampoo to the Paul Mitchell one - definitely a hit in my house! (Like the PM, there are no anti-dandruff actives, though.)
Good morning from NJ! I haven’t tried the make up sponges you mentioned, but I have used and continue to use the sponges you can purchase at Dollar Tree. They are $1.25 now. They have black ones that last a long time. I wash my sponge every day & they don’t tear for at least 2 months. Not sure if there are Dollar Tree store in Washington state. Happy New Year to you and Nathan!
I can no longer use any Dove products because I developed an allergy to them. I got weird inflamed and itchy skin under my arms and all over my hands. I had no idea what was going on until I started taking products out of my routines to see if the reaction stopped. It turns out it was all Dove stuff. After the allergy developed it took months to find soaps and conditioners that didn't trigger my reaction. The only body soap I can use now is from Naturium.
Hi Sarah, I've found that most dermaplane razors have slightly serrated blades, though some are less serrated than others. If you are looking into derplanes that will last you longer, either get something where you can replace the top part of the razor (Venus) or something where you only replace the blade (Tweezerman, Sephora, or Leaf Razors).
They did bring back the elf jelly pop primer, but only for a limited time and it sold out so quickly. I bought 2 but sadly it broke me out and had to declutter them
I never tried the jelly pop primer, nor have I tried the regular power grip... but I have the niacinamide one, and honestly... I do like it. But I don't find it to be anything remarkable? It absolutely holds onto my makeup, and it does make the initial application look great.. but after everything sets... it's not that much different than my makeup without a primer tbh. But that's just my opinion, lol
You may be the last person to try the Paw Paw sponge but I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t enjoy it. I found it to be TOO soft and almost squeaky when it was damp.
As someone who is quite knowledgeable on skincare, gel cleansers are definitely not all the same! You are right when you say that the high end ones are stupid to buy though, high end skincare is definitely not better. In makeup you can kind of "feel the price" but with skincare, the best brands sometimes come at drugstore price ranges. My favorite hydrating product is a 10$ toner and my favorite cleanser is around that same price range.
We have a water softener system at home. Just want to mention that the feeling you get with soft water that your soaps/shampoo isn’t rinsing out is because your hair and skin is not being stripped. It’s all rinsing out. Once you get used to that it’s glorious!

Your eye makeup looks sooooo gorgeous today!!! 💐💐💐
Thank you!!💜

Day 1: 0.025%
Day 2: 0.05%
Day 3: No tretinoin night
Day 4: 0.025%
Day 5: 0.05%
..and so on

I use baby shampoo to wash my makeup brushes! Works good enough for me 😊

I use bar soap. Gentle ones. Have some left over brush shampoo using up but do have and used baby shampoo shampoo and I agree with you!
I also use regular Marseille bar soap. One bar (or a block) lasts years.

I just found your channel and I love these videos thanks so much for the in depth mini reviews on each item ❤

That is a great idea! Happy new year 🎊 🩷

5:51 these sponges are one of my favorite finds from 2023.
Yes to susuave clarifying shampoo one of my favorites
I just saw an ad saying the Jelly Pop primer is coming this month to Elf's website for a limited time.

I just saw the jelly pop primer on Ulta Online’s new section last night! I didn’t click on it to see if it is available to add to cart though.

I'd reccomend the sephora brand dermaplane razors! I feel like they are gentle and not super sharp like other dermaplane blades :)

I would definitely like to find a refillable option! I’ll check these out; thank you!
Your empties videos are always some of my favorite videos that you do. Thanks for sharing, Sarah! 💜 and Happy New Year to you guys! 🥂🎉✨
Love to see empties. I should save my empties. Don't know why I don't. It would be so satisfying. Loved the video.!

I couldn’t use the derma planing razors but I found that a pack of cheap men’s razors works amazingly well!
Oooh genius!
I used to use a razer before dermaplaning became popular but I can't get into all the small areas like a dermaplaning razer can
Me too!
I'm pretty loyal to the dove dry spray deodorants, I always buy the different scents.. also, your eyebrows look really good!
I love the white tea apple scent.
I have encountered the same thing with all the different dermaplane razers I've used, if you find something better, let us know!
Bought 4pack from Amazon and only worked once. Need to use a new one . Not impressed.
I like the sephora brand dermaplane razors! I feel like they aren't quite as sharp as most dermaplane razors :)
@@janan3606 Added to my wishlist, thank you!!!

I dont like the milk primer, it peels on my skin..the elf is so much better for me, the mint green and the red are soo good
