Bardem is not humble at all, at least in Spain. He behaves as a diva when he comes here. He doesn't go to Spanish tv programmes, he despises his fans (I saw it in Allen's film Vicky, Cristina...)he hasnt got any sense of humour, and I think he's an overrated actor. There are many more better actors in Spain than him, Javier Cámara , Luis Tosar...But Penelope knows where she comes from and respects fans, she's a politer person...
