Sher Shah Suri alias Farid Khan was a pasthun ruler of afghan descent born to a pasthun afghan noble from the lodhi pasthuns of delhi defeated by babur. He was born in patna ofcourse. Sher Shah Suri was the reprisal of afghans after their defeat against babur in delhi when lodhi dynasty was anhiliated and again was defeated in battle of khanwa along with rajputs against babur but afghan pashtuns were spared and inducted in baburs army. From then the afghans started entering mughal army and discovered the gunpowder weapons and their weakness along with the new battle tactics brought by babur and fought back to outsted the mughals under humayun from India but then akbar changed it again.
