I was disappointed with Dark Dawn's music. It just wasn't as great as he's done before. Especially the final boss theme. I liked that it wasn't as fast as the other Golden Sun ones, but it didn't fit the situation quite well. It sounded purely evil. Sure it should be Chaotic, but the situation is a depressing one. I mean, come on. You're fighting Sveta's brother. Seriously. It deserved to have a depressing side. Giving it a pure evil and chaotic theme it...doesn't do the final boss much justice. But otherwise, I loved Most of the Golden Sun tracks (Series not specific game) I'm just slightly disappointed in the Dark Dawn OST
Dark Dawn's gameplay and story were disappointing in my opinion, but I think it a pretty goob job of living up to the music standard of the first two games. There's a few themes I don't like, like the Chaos Chimera theme and the Blados & Chalis boss themes, but other than those (with a few exceptions), Dark Dawn had very good music. Very memorable music.
Funny you say this, because in an interview, Sakuraba said himself that he didn't really like his compositions for this game. He also said that the first 2 games in the series are among his favorite.

I Think each composer has at least one instrument which defines him the best. For Sakuraba, I guess it's the rock organ.
he also has a very particular distortion with his guitars, and a particular drumset.
I think it's because he actually plays it in a band.

I think that the composer of Bravely Default is Revo, though Motoi Sakuraba particiates in it too. Other than that, I love a lot of his musics.
