    This is not a sponsored video, it is our honest opinion on Spinfire.
    Our latest adventure with Spinfire on court. Come with us as we experience the 2 Line Drill with Spinfire. In this video we show you how easy it is to carry Spinfire on court, how to set up various drills with focus on 2 Line Feed Drill.
    What we love most about training with a ball machine is that you can set up straightforward drills that will help you improve the consistency of your rally ball through continuous repetition. Nothing can beat this. We both are beginners and can't afford to pay for intensive coaching. The ball machine seems an expensive option, but you actually invest in YOU as you put in hours and hours of training and the ball machine is yours to use day after day. We also have a coach, but we use the coaching hours only to test our improvement and not to rely on it as a learning option. That reduces the coaching costs enormously while allowing us to put in as many hours of high value and consistent practice as our bodies can take and based on the time we can allocate.
    Here is our setup for this 2 Line Feed rill:
    height: 42
    spin: +1
    interval: 15
    speed: 10

    Thanks for the video. Thinking of buying the spinfire pro. Only concern is how much gear I need to carry with me as I train by myself. Similar to you, I have just started playing tennis (under a year) and want to go to the club early mornings. How do you manage to carry your balls, machine, battery and tennis racket? Assuming I am using 100+ balls, how do you find collecting them and putting it back in the machine? Seems quite time consuming.

      Hi there! First, congratulations on starting to play tennis and being so disciplined. We've started playing tennis last year in May and every single day we see big improvements. I am sure this wouldn't have been possible without the ball machine.
      Yes, you are right it is not easy to carry all the gear on court. Here's how we do it. First, there is two of us. But when I go on court by myself, I make two trips from the car to the court. I am lucky enough that the parking is close to the tennis courts. I carry the balls, water and fruit first and leave them on court. After that, I return for the ball machine and the tennis bag. It seemed weird at first, but it is not that bad actually. I look at it as part of the warm up.
      Now, collecting the balls. Yes, this can be challenging with 100+ balls. I tried not to buy something else to pick up the balls that I would need to also carry on court. So, I figured out this technique:
      Using the tennis racquet I gather all the balls in one place. This doesn't take too much effort and it gives you some active recovery time in between drills. Once all the balls are kind of collected in one area, I bring the bucket (yes, I carry all the balls in a bucket like a paint bucket you find at Home Depot or Dixieline). Once in the bucket, empty it in the hopper. I also try to always have music on court so it makes everything fun and super rewarding. I consider picking up the balls as an extension of the workout and surrounded by the music I love it is truly fun.
      Hope this helps! Hope you will improve and get better with every single training session. Best of luck !!!

      @@TrainLikeAProDaily Are the pre built training drills good? Because I want to buy a machine that could challenge me. THanks!

    • @TrainLikeAProDaily
      @TrainLikeAProDaily  2 года назад

      @@hi-yq2un As far as I know there are no pre build drills. We've asked Spinfire a while back in regards to a coach mode drill and here is their response. I haven't tried this settings, but I hope their answer gives you an option to pre build.
      "We already have coach mode. That's just a fancy name a competitor uses for stopping and starting the feeder motor. To do what others call coach mode on our machine just choose the settings you want for the ball and press play once to shoot the ball and then after you hit it then press the key again. Doing this on a long interval setting of, say, 15 secs makes it work the same as coach mode. That shoots one ball at a time whenever you want. You can also do 2 balls or more, one after another to shoot more than one ball at whatever interval you want. The nice thing is you can fine tune the shot while the balls are shooting the shot you want "
      Here's what we do:
      To simulate a more realistic play we use the Random feature. And if you use 2 Line Drill in combination with the Random settings I think it will be quite challenging. With this feature the balls get fired totally random - different angles, random vertical positions - it is random and totally unexpected.
      Another thing to keep in mind, is that with the Spinfire the throwing wheels are hidden inside the machine. Other tennis ball machines rotate when firing balls and you can see the throwing direction making it less unpredictable.
      Another tip I can recommend for an advanced player: add to the random mix variations to the spin or slice, speed and interval. I hope this helps. Any more questions, we are happy to share from our experience.

    Thank you for the informative review. Have been thinking of buying one of these.. Do you recommend the external battery version? Is it noisy or okay? Any issues with balls getting stuck in the machine? Stephen (from England) :)

    • @TrainLikeAProDaily
      @TrainLikeAProDaily  2 года назад +1

      Hello Stephen from England! We chose this machine because of the external battery option. So, yes! we do recommend the external battery. It is lighter to carry, and you can charge the battery separately. The machine itself is not noisy. The only noise you hear is when the balls are fired. Otherwise, the motors have a soothing sound, to us at least :) .
      No stuck balls so far. The machine is robust and doesn’t misfire.
      For additional info, take a look at the answers below for battery options, warranty, etc. Any other questions, we are happy to help!

      Good info on the spinfir 2 pro. Great machine and very good value.
      For me personally, it was a hard choice to choose between the external or internal. I chose the internal for a couple reasons. 1. It’s compact, so I didn’t need to lug around the battery. 2. So I don’t forget the battery 😉
      I had a passed experience, while ago now, where I drove about half hour away and realised once I got to the tennis courts, I left the battery at home. Main reason I went internal. Just my personal preference.

      @@amaximus5753 Hello there! Thanks so much for sharing from your experience with Spinfire. It happened to us recently actually .. on the tennis court we realized we left the battery at home 🤣 we ended up playing together rather than get in the practice mode. You are right, if you don't mind that the machine is a bit heavier, it is a good option. In our case, we share the load - one carries the battery and the other the tennis ball machine. We are going to have a new video shortly showing the new battery - the lighter & faster charging external lithium battery. This battery was not available when we purchased the machine and we didn't want to wait until it becomes available. So we got the older battery instead. I can say it is night and day difference between the old and the new battery - just doesn't compare. The machine seems more powerful and precise with the lithium battery. It is possible that the internal battery you got is better than the older battery we've been using. So, good choice!

    Can you play somehow aproach shot and volley with spin fire as a driil at the same time or not?

    • @TrainLikeAProDaily
      @TrainLikeAProDaily  3 месяца назад

      I don't know. But, an approach shot you can. You would set the machine at a distance so the ball bounce happens a the right distance for an approach shot. I don't think the machine has specific settings for volley or approach shots. You can buy an attachment for Spinfire for volleys. I don't have this attachment so I can't comment on that.

    • @ketokonazol
      @ketokonazol 3 месяца назад

      @@TrainLikeAProDaily thanks for the response. How do you mean attachment? What kind of attachment? I don't think that there is any attachment but if you know please tell me..
      On the other hand, when one hits an approach shot, it is only to go forward in the next shot and adjust the body near the net to hit the volley shot.

    • @TrainLikeAProDaily

      @@ketokonazol I see. You mean to have a combined drill. I am not sure how you can do that. There is no pre-programmed drill that would that. At least I am not aware of it. I can always try to improvise and come as close as possible to a real life scenario.

    • @TrainLikeAProDaily
      @TrainLikeAProDaily  3 месяца назад +1

      @@ketokonazol And you are right about the attachment. There is none provided by the manufacturer, I don't don't know why I remember that years ago they used to have one - but just looking at the website there is nothing to that effect now.

    • @TrainLikeAProDaily
      @TrainLikeAProDaily  3 месяца назад +1

      @@ketokonazol For something that the ball machine doesn't provide, we've used best the Proton ball machine. It has something that helps with volleys. It is like a "leg" that you put under the machine. But what is the most helpful thing about the Proton for us is Programmable Drills and Targeting.
      Programmable Drills:
      Proton machines allow programming shot sequences. You can design drills that alternate deep groundstrokes with short balls landing near the net, forcing you to react and play volleys. For instance, some users design drills with a low volley included in the shot sequence
      Targeting:
      While not specifically designed for volleys, Proton machines allow targeting specific zones on the court. You can program some balls to land short near the net, helping you practice reaction volleys.
