Adam Sandler's movies might be just generic stupid comedies, but they are always SO WHOLESOME. Just straight up positive energy.
That sounded like that was trying to be a compliment, but still came across with too much insulting energy at the start. 😆
I honestly found all of his films to be quite dynamic, even if they all have the same similar sort of comedic style and didn’t find them really to be stupid. Just more silly in their wholesomeness. That’s really how I’d put it.

I ran into my old high-school bully probably 15 years after we graduated. he used to have this stupid name he called me back then just to get on my nerves. when he saw me, that was the first word out of his mouth. all I could do was shake my head and laugh. he couldn't figure out what I was laughing about, so I told him "we graduated 15 years ago, man. or didn't you get the memo?". my coffee buddy starts laughing and bully walks away muttering to himself. to this day, I still laugh about the whole encounter.
