You will get a certificate on successful completion of the course i.e. if you pass the exam. The exam registration is a separate process and has not started yet.

You can do up to a maximum of 12 courses in one semester. It is possible to complete all 4 courses at a time. I myself have done that in the Jan - Arp 2023 semester.

The entire course materials are pre-recorded. So you can watch the videos whenever you are free (morning or evening). However, there are a few live problem solving sessions held on RUclips which is usually during the evenings; but those recordings are also made available for future viewing.

Most of the courses are MCQ based, but I had a appeared for one exam (Patent Drafting for Beginners) where there were subjective questions as well. So I suggest that you ask the particular course team itself to be sure about the question format and exam pattern.

So what should I do because we have been told that we will only get our btech degree if we have 20 credit points through nptel courses and coz I am a 1st yr cse(iot cs bct) student, therefore I want to enroll in atleast 2 courses of my intrest

ABC ID is Academic Bank of Credits ID. When National Education Policy 2020 is applied, credit earned from SWAYAM NPTEL courses maybe used in order to complete one or the other educational programs, it will be useful then.

Your highest qualification is Diploma and ideally you should give the pincode of the place nearest from which you wish to appear for the exam.

You have to visit the NPTEL exam center physically and there the exam will be online - on their computer.

I am sorry to hear about your situation but you have to approach your college only to get a roll number as soon as possible.
