***** because in the begging(like 2008 or so) there were 2 demos and it didn't work quite well for the gamemode and besides the one demo does enough work for his teammates,to follow back his damage etc. for example if your demo is dead you can't do much because he's a really important damage output

You know, people like Kaidus aren't just good from their perspective. The important thing is how intimidating they are. Seriously, any player that has a lot of skill but not intimidating might as well not be good (unless playing medic or passive classes). If you ever see a player especially demomen like Kaidus in game, as soon as you seen them in mid range you start to feel worried and subconciously try to avoid them. In my experience those high level demomen just scare the shit out of me and I try to jump away while noscoping them. In addition, Kaidus has a lot of skill to back him up, and with the combination he is just unstopable, and the funny thing is I feel intimidated by really good snipers too, and people like Jake and Max are unstopable.
at a top level, esports just becomes mind games.
