Yep. After getting away from an abusive husband I was afraid to leave my apartment for a little over a year. Now I only go out 5x a year for doctor appointments. I have severe agoraphobia. And, its true...weight gain, lack of vitamin D, everything.
I tried that for almost exactly a year , ( not contacting anyone , not going out , not going on social media for a year eg. Facebook except binge watching on RUclips and Netflix , lying on bed most of the time ) so the gaining weight and sleeping more is true . But I have never felt so much at peace with myself .

Staying indoors for long can also have a bad affect on eyesight, as the eyes can get used to seeing everything close up. In the days when people were locked up in dark dungeons, when released many would go blind, or almost so, when exposed to the bright sun. It shows another way eyesight could be affected, obviously not as much.

I was diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency and I have to take pills once a week. I’ll go to school then straight home or go indoors. It eventually took a toll. Since NYC is pretty crowded, there’s not really a public place where you can comfortably sit back & relax to get some sun
Amber Mallick you'd be the one kid in class who is mute and won't get any grades including social interaction. Also people will give you cool nicknames. Or weird ones
I have been inside home for 3 months with less than 20 days of outdoor experience, no exercise and just simply sitting, sleeping, eating, watching movies. My parents won't allow me to go outside for fun and now I'm having almost all these issues related to it as shown in the video. Now I hate my life
I (23/m) didn't leave the house for 3 and 1/2 years due to personal (mentally) reasons. most of the things in this video didn't happen to me at all. I had no muscle pains, bones were and are not weak, although I was a little sad here and there (rarely). Anxiety was at an all time high. Such as not being able to see people unless I'd seen them in person prior to staying in. Sleep cycle changed here and there but was the same as any other person my age. I didn't take ANY vitamin tablets. Still -- Cool video though.
Thank you for making this video. Actually I am staying inside for almost a year, not that never stepped outside my home for a year. I am suffering from a cronic disease, so sometimes I need to visit a doctor, and thats the only reason I head outside. I am experiencing each and everything mentioned in the video. A lot anxiety, depression, less mobility and what not. But I don't have other options though.
I used to go outside all the time, but I moved to a city and haven't spent been out more than 2 times a year in about a decade. I did start to gain weight, but than I just developed a quick daily workout and changed my diet to healthier and ended up losing more weight than I ever gained. The vitamine D was never an issue because I eat fruit that have it, and depression is something I learned to manage a long time ago. So as long as you know how to be happy inside you'll be fine. But honestly I still recommend going out for anyone who likes outside.
I have barley stepped outside for about half a year now. Because of severe depression and agoraphobia. I take vitamin D but I don't see improvement yet. I lose lots of weight and don't sleep for days, followed by sleeping 20 houres. So I wouldn't recommend it.
This is basically what I did for years, especially back when I played WoW. I lived with my parents, so I had food. if I did go outside it was late at night, the sun hurt my eyes, gave me headaches
I feel the fear of going outside and I also have panic disorder and anxiety. I don't like people I would rather spend time with nature only that makes me happy. 🌻🌳⛰️🏞️🏕️
It’s bad to be a homebody that spend too much time at home all day during their day offs. Being a cooped up homebody who stays home too much will only make things worse and make you an angry person.
Makes you think about all them people cooped up inside due to old age or health issues - if anyone who is one of these and is reading this please take care of yourself and get help to step outside!❤️
Actually this happened to me before I stuck in the house for alot of years and I never enjoy out side untill I turn into my age all my childhood is lost.......mostly sad now ._. all those years I watch kids play outside while for years I stayed inside for years 3 years and more I have the worse year of my life..idk what to say for my self mother didn't trust me out there by my self.......

Covid 19 got me in doors for a while. I’m going insane
Same.
Same
I was diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency and I have to take pills once a week. I’ll go to school then straight home or go indoors. It eventually took a toll. Since NYC is pretty crowded, there’s not really a public place where you can comfortably sit back & relax to get some sun
I have been indoors for 2 year's and I am depressed my mom doesn't know that
This is so sad, because this is what's happening right now
its all true, been working in home for almost whole year.
I’ve done two years so far as I am a wheelchair user in a small village with no shops . So I shop on line ...

Amber Mallick you'd be the one kid in class who is mute and won't get any grades including social interaction. Also people will give you cool nicknames.
Or weird ones
I'VE NOT GONE OUTSIDE FOR A YEAR PLUS DUE TO ILLNESS A DEPRESSION. YOUR VIDEO IS 100% ACCURATE
Pov: you watching this at your home and can't go outside👁👄👁
I have been inside home for 3 months with less than 20 days of outdoor experience, no exercise and just simply sitting, sleeping, eating, watching movies. My parents won't allow me to go outside for fun and now I'm having almost all these issues related to it as shown in the video. Now I hate my life
BRIGHT SIDE JINXED US
So 20 minutes is all it takes, that is doable. As a person with a disability I am indoors most of the time. This is helpful for me. Thank you.
Home is not a place , it's a feeling
I remember the story of banker and young lawyer who argued about life sentence and death penalty...
I’m curious… how did it go?
Thank you for making this video. Actually I am staying inside for almost a year, not that never stepped outside my home for a year.
I am suffering from a cronic disease, so sometimes I need to visit a doctor, and thats the only reason I head outside.
I am experiencing each and everything mentioned in the video.
A lot anxiety, depression, less mobility and what not. But I don't have other options though.
I spent 10 years indoors. None of these things apply to me.
10 years !
10 months not going outside, no sun exposure, and not interacting with people (except with my family) make me have social anxiety.
I wish could be the one
Seems like I am the only one who hasn't gone outside since last 4-5 years.
Nah!
How do u manage staying at home
@@fatimamohsinvlogs9945 I don't have anyone to meet 🙃
@@sudomeister1911 same here but i just want to get a car deive roaminh on the road and get back to home
@@fatimamohsinvlogs9945 I would love to do that lol, gonna get drivers licence soon.
It's been 4 months since I stepped out of my house😂
No I never thought of it. I always love to go out and interact with nature...
Guess what I stayed 2 years and I'm having hard time with everything
Nice bro
You forgot to put in “a” in between having and hard.
I been 3 yrs. There's no problem
Same bro
I feel the fear of going outside and I also have panic disorder and anxiety. I don't like people I would rather spend time with nature only that makes me happy. 🌻🌳⛰️🏞️🏕️
im actually looking for "what if i go outside?"
I have joined you all on the bright side of life.
I've stayed indoors for ling periods of time. He's right. I experienced all those after effects.
I am staying in my room like 3,4 now I understand why I always feel tired n lonely
ify. and anxious :(
I was a convict for 30 years and I was fine!
Hey is anyone here watching this video in quarantine? 🤣🤣
*Same..*
Same here it's really sad and torturing now that I've grown up l realise it I have spend all my life childhood inside the house playing video games watching movies and all day on computer. :(
Don't just do that...I did it...now I'm healing mentally!!!
My older brother still lives with our parents and I’m home visiting, he doesn’t work, or have friends so he’s home 24/7, I was hopefully to find out more on psychological and social problems caused by staying inside for years
Perfectly made for 2020. I stepped out thrice in a whole year
If you even stepped out once you have failed. Therefore you can't do it.
