Old and disabled I'm no longer able to haul around heavy and bulky DSLR's but even though I appreciate mobile phone photography I've never really felt comfortable with it. This Fuji seems to offer me the affordability to shoot old school but with the size , weight and convenience I've been looking for.....now on my Xmas list 👍
I have a Fuji T30II that I love using for street but hadn't thought of using the X-S20 for filming. You captured some great footage with it, very enticing! I filmed a documentary portrait a short documentary about a man following his dreams in New York City, I’d be happy to hear your thoughts on it Jake
People hate on Fuji stabilization because it’s not great for walking and talking but I’ll say it works well for static handheld shots. Wouldn’t want to shoot a camera without IBIS
Many camera reviewers talk about vlogging as if the only way anyone does it is by walking and talking. Seems like most vlogs are done by people who are sitting still. Do you have the X-S20? I’m considering it, just need to save some pennies.
@@danieli.9252 Fuji AF is reliable as long as you don’t have multiple people walking in the scene. I’m not going to lie and say it’s Sony level. Definitely better than the last generation of cameras
I wasn’t impressed with the IBIS on the X-S20. I need to use it more but on a recent visit to a place I take lots of photos I think the IBIS on my old Olympus OMD EM1 II is better.
This camera is so tiny that it makes the also tiny Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 feel big on it. I clicked to see what the F2 looks like on it, timeless look, and good video
I very bearly bought this as my main camera instead of my c200 - i shoot weddings and while this is great I thin that having a proper video camera went a long way and a some people i work with use canon C range so in a pinch they ask me to bring that too. Though this is stella and i was very tempted especially with the 6k open gate.
I'm considering the Canon R7 and the Fuji X-S20 for a micro-budget feature film. Have you tried the R7, and if so, what was your opinion of the camera? It has C-Log 3, but most of the footage posted on RUclips seems a bit lackluster, even if the images include more dynamic range. I actually like the 1080p image from my Canon T3i since my focus is narrative filmmaking. In my opinion, too much detail competes for attention when you are telling a story. I'm just trying to get a bit more dynamic range. Thanks.
Thanks for the video! I’m have fuji x-t200 and looking for an upgrade. I thinking about x-s20 or changing system to sony and go with a6700 or zv-e10ii. I’ll use mostly for yourube and socil media. What would you recommend?
flaws: Overheating in 4k60 after 10 mins, Af-c not reliable as in Sony , Ibis is bad for walking shots . But overall it's great camera ! After having Sony for 4 years this Fuji gives me passion to create smth ! And Fuji log looks great
What I DO NOT like is that overheats like crazy , almost impossible to use. I have tried everything and NOTHING works, not even the Fuji "Expert" sales rep can give me an answer. I feel is silly to have to buy an overpriced plastic fan . This camera is made for recording mainly, should not overheat like this. Any ideas. Also, it will not work with the record button on my DJI ronin gimbal, so every time I have to start recording I have to physically press the record button on the camera itself, I am sure you can guess how uncomfortable this is. Terrible !! I cannot believe no-one can come up with solutions for this.
What recording modes are you using? I didn't record any long takes with my copy but I never experienced any overheating. I do agree though, the external plastic fan isn't ideal
What most people don't realize is, that this should have been the XT-5, but fanboys didn't like the flippy screen and it should be used as a video camera, we have the X-S20. The XT-5 would be great to have a flippy screen and audio out.
This is actually very interesting. I didn't have time to test out the external Prores RAW but I wish I did. I would love to see the difference in image quality
It really is a true pocket cinema camera. The ibis is unreal. For the money and how tiny the form factor nothing else compares. Great review 🎉 encore!
Been with this camera for 5 months now. It is definitely a pro camera and can be used easily for any production quality release.

You'll enjoy using it for sure, it's such a great camera in such a small package
I bought this as my first ever camera and am absolutely loving it. Theres still so much to learn but it makes it very easy to learn.
This video was sharp! really well done.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that

New follower here! Bests regards from a Venezuelan follower in Panama!
Welcome! Thanks for the follow!
exactly the info I was seeking as I am looking for a secondary video centric body to go with my X-H2
Fujifilm cameras always look so cool
I definitely agree, they are designed so well
I open an XS20 but I struggle with color grading 😂 nice video btw
Hi, does it have a a touch screen?
Can I access all the features by just touching the screen?
I wanna see how you color grade F-Log.

Yeah it does a great job for static shots. I don't think any IBIS system looks great while walking anyway so it's not a huge deal

My brother PLEASE for all that is right and holy pls cover the xm5
Does it can shoot 4k 10bit 422 in h264 codec ? Instead of h265

xs20 for sure
Between those two I would probably go for the x-s20. It has more features and capabilities in general and I think I prefer it
Ahhh im so gonna buy this camera. Maybe around next year so I can buy it for a lower price 😊
You totally should! The price is getting lower and lower

I don't think so
question : Why we can not pick H264 420 in 6k ??
I usually use the Impulse as my daily driver but to each their own
Impulse doesn't even shoot 6k doe
The overheating on this camera 💔. I can't even use it for more than 10min
What settings? Is it actually overheating or just shows the warning?

Still without tracking function unfortunately , when you can choosing object for tracking (fuji just added this function in new GFX100ii)
Good to know!
