Was just up there tonite actually. Not much train traffic, I still can't seem to hit the busy times. Conrail seemed to run everything on that line after dark. NS not so much. Sad to see the signal bridge west of the station has been replaced/removed.
Did see NS 881 with it's BNSF power, the highlight of the evening. So if they're actually at a peak traffic-wise, any idea of how many trains are running on this line currently? I think the most I've seen was 9 on a thurs 7-11pm. CR beat that many times.
Always loved doing all nighters there during the Conrail days.
Oh yeah, I actually prefer railfanning at night due to the peace and quiet. Hope to do a few all nighters before the year wraps up
Nice Catches Andrew! This seems like an awesome spot to watch trains. I hope to go here on my birthday weekend in June....

Should be around 60-70 per 24 hours. Fridays and Saturdays tend to be heaviest.
Except tonite of course. LOL Anyway cool you stuck it out thru the night. Faved your video Take care man.
I'm planning a trip up this way, in a few weeks, great reference video for night action. Hope it's still this lit here...
Great catches
Nice! I’m hoping to go out to the Midwest soon. I’m from NJ and we don’t get as much trains as you guys in Indiana do.
VERY GOOD RAIL VIDEO
