blogs can be created for free on wordpress so I am not sure why someone would want to pay for your platform unless it does the new post everyday for you
Paying gives you control. When you promote your business, you want visitors to get your content, not someone else's advertising. A unique domain represents you and your business.

Would I loose anything, such as rights to my book to publish it later, if I share the chapters on my blog post first?

I have watched your work on creating blog WordPress base with blues host, its wonderful. It gave me the insight. I am new here want to open blog with WordPress I need guidance from you.
I have a domain and website set up through wix, but listening to you and a few others, it seems as if blue host/WordPress is a better option. Is it a pain to transfer my domain to blue host or would I better off just starting over? Additionally, based on your experience, do you feel like it is more beneficial to focus on a blog or on a RUclips channel? Timewise (while learning, I guess) I'm just not sure I could focus on both and produce quality content.

Hi Michael - so no, that's not normal, but I can't tell for sure what it is. I guess - you want to purchase a domain that someone already owns, and now they are trying to resell that to you at a higher price. There're people and companies who do this for domains that they think can be really popular. Can you check with a different domain name?
