My good friend, Jeff, uncle to my babies, recently passed November 2019. He took his own life with a different kind of shot. My sister and I toast to him every time we meet, which isn’t often these days. Rest easy, Jeff.
The comments under songs like this always hit the hardest. I don't know him, but I think about your Jeff, too, every time I hear this song. Yeah, to Jeff.
This song inspired me to message a friend who passed away a few years ago, I had been afraid of saying anything because I knew it would mean accepting they were gone. They are gone, and I can only carry on their memory as best I can, it was cathartic as hell, and they would absolutely agree, nobody is a lost cause. I miss you buddy.
You know songs, where the split second the singer starts to even make the their very first sound, I swear Rob started to sing the first note, and I was sold haha!
During withdawl, and dealing with a friendd suicide leaving behind 3 kids &a baby...had me so in my head so bad and Rob Taxpayer kept me thinking and listening daily cause I can do this, with the right tunes!
I hope you made it my friend, I have been there and made it out many times then went back because the world was just too hard, Now I am on Medicine but at least i can think and not drool on myself. Anyway hope you did it, It's been 2 years I hope I am not talking to a Ghost 🎠🎠
sometimes im not expecting a song to be as good as it is, other times im not expected the emotional response that happens.. Both situations apply to this one. I had a breakdown listening to this. Years of being told i was a lost cause has obviously left a lot of pain in me that. despite ignoring, still had some control. Today is he first day we start taking control back and getting that out. I wish i had someone like your friend Jeff in my life, but i dont. But thats ok, im doing this for me. IN honor of jeff.
This song means so much to me! Although I haven't had an experience like this with a friend or family member. The meaning and words behind this song are so special to me it's such a beautiful song and I'm very thankful for it every time I listen to to it ❤
I'm tired of losing people who don't deserve to die and this song makes me feel like I have to keep going for all of them who lost out on the race. Because they aren't lost causes and they aren't done til nobody remembers them

To Jeff, both of them.

The most peaceful way to go, Juxtaposed by how terrible it is........
A man that gives his time and money, even while being perpetually broke, is a noble man and a good man.
That minor change after he says nobody is a lost cause is amazing

my buddy Jeff blew 'is brains out
on the south shore of the lake
a lifetime of whatever
was more than he could take
he helped me build my house
he helped a lot of folks
he gave his time and his money
was perpetually broke
few months before he did it
i was deep inside a hole
shame-filled for the things i had done
was the only one that saw me
lost in the abyss
don't remember it exactly
but he said something like this
everybody is broken, sad and alone
everybody is driftin' along without a home
everybody is shattered and burdened with flaws
but nobody is a lost cause
he had a tattoo on his arm
of a stupid cartoon man
poking out from behind a little wall
if ya asked him what it was he'd say
Murphy, you know Murphy's law
anything that can go wrong
will go wrong
and it did and it will
again and again
for as long as we are all alive
when a person is stuck
in a terrifying pit
only thing you can do is
try and help them out of it
everybody is broken, sad and alone
everybody is driftin' along without a home
everybody is shattered and burdened with flaws
but nobody is a lost cause
everybody is broken, sad and alone
everybody is driftin' along without a home
everybody is shattered and burdened with flaws
but nobody is a lost cause
love you
Thanks dude.
I put this song on when I'm like in a weird headspace and feel like shit and this idk hahah it makes me feel good

He was the only one that saw mе
Lost in the abyss
Don't remembеr it exactly

Everybody is broken, sad and alone
Everybody is drifting along without a home
Everybody is shattered and burdened with flaws

this is really honest good music
I want some fried chicken now after that intro.
I miss my friends.

This has a dislike? Clearly someone IS a lost cause.
Or it's just their cup of tea, chill 😂
