I recently played this at a buddy's house the other night and I was in awe. Aside from the chalking motion being a bit suggestive and extremely memeable, this game is awesome and breathtaking.
I hope the Quest can pull this off. Am so pumped to play it! You nearly gave me a heart attack when you fell.....BAD MIKE! 8)
I cant wait for the quest version - Do we know if this will be available as a cross buy title if so I will grab the rift copy and play it on the quest or try with Revive and Virtual Desktop.
You can play pc games with the quest aswell. But it has some issues currently

When this game first appeared, I was impressed with what VR could bring to the table regarding new sort of games. And having fear of height, this would be one I would have definitly I wanted to try out. When I discovered it was an Oculus exclusive, I was kinda bumped. I hoped for a psvr-version, but that's never going to happen. Too bad, because it appears to be a fun and, although my fear of heights, relaxing game.

this video goes to show how immersive VR is and why it will be the future for gaming. I mean look even though he is only moving his arms you can hear him kind of "unintentionally roleplay" by him breathing hard or making a "argh" sound when he reaches for a rock. Maybe I'm just overthinking it but I thought that was pretty neat.
I just bought this and it is a great workout, I try to keep my arms up like it would be in real life, and it can be pretty exciting.
im not too keen on those hand gestures required to chalk up, lol. i dont want to be seen doing that in vr

The Climb is one of my favourite Oculus titles that I still find myself going back to every couple of months :) Visuals are still amazing, the sense of presence combined with the tension of getting your grip juuuuuuust right so not to expend stamina is genuinely heart-pumping, and I still flinch at a missed jump ^^ VR classic.
Yeah, I hope those new Rifters and soon to be Questers don’t miss this one []-)

@@jamzey7323 Keep your eyes open for the Oculus Quest headset launching in early 2019 then chief - it'll have its own version of The Climb and is totally cable free and standalone - no pc required. The future is coming :D

As a climber, it is a rule to look down, it is the nature of climbing and if you want to comment that you should know the aspect of an actual climber.

when I play Climb, I look for good spots in the game (like the platforms 6:56) to just sit on my living room floor and just look around at the “view” because of how lovely it looks. If my headset doesn’t hurt my head, I usually could spend an hour just looking around

This is my first time seeing this game. I feel like you would have the urge to use your legs when climbing. I wish the falling showed you hit the ground... :) your right.. it is a beautiful game.

Though I have to say, it is probably my most desired game along with LONE ECHO. If only oculus was more like Steam with their great quarterly Sales Events. I'd probably have BOTH games by now...……………… but $50 still for Lone Echo is ridiculous.

Lone Echo now just 30 dollars and The Climb 25.99 so both for almost 50 dollars :)
I think I'd buy the Quest if it only had this one game.
You obviously don't need to be a climber to enjoy this... but I think this could be a lot of fun for those familiar to climbing because of the 'problem solving' aspect of climbing. Other than the physical nature of climbing and the constant fear/danger of falling off, climbing is also like a mental puzzle, knowing how to position yourself, there's a lot of technique involved.
Does it have other maps or just the one? I hate those vr games that only have one map and that is all. Cash grabs you know? Also can you glide once you get to the top?

Good afternoon Mike the climb is an amazing game I did see the videos 2 years ago and your video today does it justice. It looks absolutely gorgeous I am very excited for this game to come to the quest to definitely have an opportunity to play at a VR arcade. I would also like to see rise the son of Rome come to the quest especially when you fight in the Coliseum. Please show this game when it comes out on the quest have a good day Mike.

Doesn't the pc handle the graphically demanding stuff and all that and just sends the picture to the VR? Like VR doesn't care how demanding a game is right?

Are you sure this is the first climb, I don't remember these levels, But i didn't finish the game, its a hard one for the shoulders lol
thats what they should do make it multiplayer with a persistant world and the wingsuite people being other players.. :-D so you can do random stuff like just sitting around fishing or climbing and wingsuite or driving around. I think if you need a bit of a workout from this have to stand on your toes on a plank . would workout the calf a bit lol

Thanks for the review, I bought this game because of it, im currently downloading it and have yet to try it, I've always been a fan of uncharted and I got into bouldering because of it, I've always wanted to make insane jumps like in uncharted but now im in quarantine I dont want to risk spreading covid to anyone else so this game helps me get in the motion of bouldering again in the comfort of my own home.

Wow Mike, only someone with the prolific skills you have can pull some of those moves you displayed in The Climb. I would be too scared to cross my arms like you do in fear that it would mean certain death for me. Man you are a bad ass Mike. When I grow up I want to be like Mike. I'm referring to Jordan of course. As far as The Climb coming to the Quest I am not going to hold my breath. The having been saying it was coming to the Quest even before the Quest came out. In fact I bought the Quest on day one thinking The Climb was coming out shortly after. It is the game I most was looking forward to. You must be able to get plenty of replay out of The Climb. Do you Mike? Anyway I did enjoy the video. Looks like you were really into it.

Just spoke with the people from oculus team and said that the game CLIMB will not be possible on quest due to the fact it need a better processor like rift has
Quest is simply not worth your money.
