English folk song: A Fair Maid Walking

A delightfully sweet classic English folk song on the 'broken token' theme, A Fair Maid Walking was collected in 1906 by Percy Grainger from Mrs Thompson of Barton on Humber. I learned it as an enthusiastic teenager living in Caistor; we lived near the Fleece Inn near the top of the line of the Wolds, and from our living room I remember seeing the tops of the Humber Bridge at Barton as it was built. It seemed very close!
