I definitely recommend the Mezco "Man of Steel" Superman (the classic comic look, not the 2013 movie version) - one of the best Superman figures ever made with a ton of amazing accessories

My favorite part of that figure is the light up heat vision head and the nice smiling face Superman. You don’t get a lot of happy Superman figures and if you do they look derpy.
I recently got my first Mezco figures as well. The Christopher Reeve Superman and the deluxe Wolverine with Sentinel base.
The soft goods are definitely something to get used to, but I love the figures so much. The wolverine especially is amazing!

@@LoneWalker59 these aren't extremely expensive. 100~ dollars for a 1/12 figure is average. The material mezco uses is known to have issues with tearing. I've not ever once had issues with any of the clothing on 3A figures or any other companies soft goods
Dick Clark's Rocking Robin New Year's Eve. I think he did decapitate somebody in his first comic book appearances. Mezco do make some cool items.

This guy us my 1st mezco as well, and damn was I impressed with the articulation, accessories, material and most importantly the feel. It feels like a solid figure eventhough he's short and thin. The ankles could use some improvement, but you can figure it out when you get to posing

Good review, as always. Damian Wayne is my favorite Robin, but that is an unpopular opinion. Also, not to blow up your spot, but I think I figured out why you and your twin always look the same direction (camera left). I won't reveal it here just in case it is a spoiler reveal for later. But could you, you know, blink twice if I'm on to something of the long-game story arc variety?

On a scale of 1-10 I’d say it’s a 8.75 Mezco missed out on a great opportunity to place storage on Robin to carry all the weapons
Mezco stopped trying years ago. The only company I know that can delay a figures for 5 years without saying anything and people continue to just blindly throw money at them

Ngl Mezco is kind of hit or miss I have some of the older stuff i don’t like how it feels in hand but they did look great on display luckily they’ve improved so much the newer stuff is way better the Superman man of steel figure is so darn good especially if you pose him flying

I’d super recommend the Mezco Man of Steel Superman, ~$100 bucks but it’s the perfect classic comic Superman, comes in a nice tin case, every conceivable Superman accessory and has light up heat vision eyes.

I think Damien is cool but Dick Grayson and Tim Drake are my favorite Robins but I also like Jason Todd as Red Hood, However, The figure looks great especially with those dope accessories but my friend might get me the McFarlane Reborn Tim Drake Robin figure.

Mezco is my favorite. Not the old ones, they are killing it now. I like Mezco because it's the total package. The stand, top notch, they have the best accessories and it even comes with a bag for parts. Mayfex comes with a genaric stand. The soft goods are my favorite because it's just different. I can stand less articulation for something that completely stands out from my marvel legends!

Dick Clarke looks pretty great! While on vacation, I saw him at quite a few shops, but that price kept me at arm's length ultimately. That said, I DID pick up The Fantastic Four set, and if you thought Dick came with a lot of stuff, phewwww, I haven't even fully unpacked that lunchbox yet.
Great review! If folks really are mad at you for talking the way you do, they should just… leave. The beauty of the internet is the freedom to just drop everything and move on. I'm thankful I found your channel, as it's informative AND entertaining, plus, your attention to whether a figure box includes credits for all involved opened my eyes to that part of collecting. I have three Mezcos. They’re great figures, if you know what you’re getting yourself into articulation and joint-wise. Some of their joints can be pretty thin and snap easily with very little pressure applied. I am limiting myself to the Gangreene Estates horror line and whatever Lovecraftian adjacent figures they put out. Although, Dr. Doom has been tempting me for the past couple of months.
Man. That Doom is the best looking Doom ever. After their Batman 89 nightmare I swore the brand off until today haha

havent watched through yet but just off the title i know where its leading, i dont think robins the best to start with cus of the cape being a hinderance but the accessories are so good. iron fist was the first one that really blew me away so id recommend that as a starting point into mezco

Mezco is great but there superheros tend to miss for me as the spandex supersuits never look like spandex, but stuff like this robin or figures wearing so ewhat normal clothing always look top notch

Ohhhhh yeah a solid choice and that Crow figure is great
I absolutely love both of them. I think some of them are a little bit too small. The Jason is a great figure but is scaled a tad too small to be an unkillable homicidal maniac. One of his heads has a gash in the forehead where you can put any of his weapons except his pitchfork

This is your first Mezco, have you tried any Revoltech?

Its a great figure just definitely need a Batman with him. This Robin which i know you already know just joking in the review is actually Damien Wayne aka Bruce's legitimate son.
Also the best Batman to pair him with is the Sovereign Knight which now hes a bit pricey now but he's definitely worth tracking down also the Sovereign Knight is pretty much s modern look of batman inspirated by his comic looks where he's in his prime fighting crime.
I have two exclusive versions of the suit being the all black suit and the 89 inspired look but need the classic grey and black look to go with him. As well the issue with this Robin he's slightly taller than what Robin should be.
Especially since this is Damien wayne which people complained about a bit but he's definitely a good Robin figure and Mezco's first Robin they did since there was a large thing with the owner of Mezco Toyz who goes by Mez hating the idea of a Robin especially him being a big Batman fan thinking in a real life situation that "his" Batman figures with his unique take on his batman trilogy line from Ascending Knight (Year one inspired), Sovereign Knight Batman (modern in his prime look), and Supreme Knight (Dark knight returns inspirated) doesn't need a Robin.
Which Mez admitted in a video call interview stream with TheToypaige on Instagram said he doesn't like Robin and never thought the idea of a little kid in bright colors fighting crime with Batman made sense.
Yet, Mez admitted when he started the Mezco One:12 line he did The Dark Knight Returns Batman figures abd it haves a Robin in the story. So it was a big surprise when this figure went up to pre-order and released since a lot of Mezco fans thought we never wiuld have gotten a Robin and now we have a Golden Age Dick Grayson Robin next that is supposed to release this year in August hopefully so now we have a modern Robin and a Classic Golden Age Robin.

I would love this figure - I think it looks fantastic but… I’m concerned about the materials it is made of - pleather? Is it going to flake and fall apart? The “bruising” on the face aka staining from the cape dye etc. I’m really on the fence for $95. Convince me otherwise lol - I want this. Love your videos btw! And posing wow!

They're not 1/12 scale which is funny that they're called one twelve collective. Unless they think majority of people are almost 7 feet tall 😆
I stopped buying them years ago though because the stitching is almost never great, the fabric they use is cheap and tears super easy (I've had some that were already beginning to tear before I even posed them), their heads are gigantic, and the bodies are stuck in 2005
Perhaps older figures were the issue? Some people have said they are much better now

Usually for the height comparison you do a really nice edit with a sound effect and the figures pop in. But in a couple of recent videos your hand can be seen placing the figure in the shot. I’m just wondering if that is intentional

i got the mezco cable last year on sale. his future boots render his ankle articulation useless. he also sucks at holding his big gun with both arms. im really wary of jumping in again, but i really want the stormshadow.

$100 is expensive for a 1/12. but considering some sh figuarts are about $80, 100 for soft goods isnt terrible but i wouldnt spend that much 😂

You have to be pretty careful with that material they use on the torso, it breaks down over time, it'll start creasing and peeling from the fabric underneath.
