Thanks Milian for this review. The middle stripe in the neck is bubinga. The second capacitor is a treble bleed. Both pots are 500k. The pickups from an old epiphone with ceramic magnets instead of the original Alnicos. Normaly I wound my own pickups. But these are good as they were, so I only changed the magnets. I build this guitar out of materials I had laying around. That causes the scrafjoint. Milian contactet me right after he gets the guitar. As he said, i'm a hobbyist. Not a professional. Building guitars for 15 years now. And from time to time I sell one of them. I'm happy that this guitar found a new owner who is happy with something I created. That's how it should be. I show my work on Facebook in a group called "E-Gitarre bauen". Search for my name in the group.
Hey folks, I got some requests to my "ebay Kleinanzeigen". As Milian said, he bought this guitar not from me. The former owner had his reasons to sell this guitar for only 200€. That's only half the price of the materials for a guitar. Sorry for the guy who thought that I sell all of my guitars for 200€. Also I don't build guitars made to order. As said, this is a hobby. Not a business. With family and a regular job, there are less free space for a second business ;-)
I’m not a big fan of the black machine style but that being said, this thing looks very well built and it sounds awesome. The thinness of the body is impressive and looks fun to play! That wiring looks clean af
honestly that's a steal. also, your playing is so lovely! so many of those ambient, swelling licks you played reminded me very much of Adam Jones, especially from after fear inoculum. cheers!
That is a 0.022 microfarad (or .022μF) capacitor is right in the middle of 0.015 (bright) and 0.047 (dark, but needs lower kΩ pots to really shine)! Nice little harness in there! Plini vibes for sure, got that vibey, progy, but “vintage breakup” tone - really nice upper mids coming through! Also, gotta love some medium output passive pickups 👌🏽
For non floating bridges especially a hardtail the design of the bridge doesn’t matter all that much. Guitarist bias because functionally your strings just sit there the bridge is just a piece of metal supporting them.
I do like that it is familiar, but does it's own thing. Flat bottom is interesting - I think the 80's Peavey Adrian Vandenberg had a similar look - slightly angled on that, I think, but a very straight edge. I really like the subtle forearm carve and the pearloid binding. Yes, you can tell it's hand made, but not a slavish copy of commercial guitars, which is something I can respect. Even with the cost of a few upgrades like a new bridge, better locking tuners, coil split and a fret job on top of the initial purchase price - I think it'll still punch above it's weight class and is something unique.
As Milian said, this one is for sure inspired by Blackmachine (Doug Campbell's brand). The flat bottom, minimalistic finish, thin body, light weight, chamfered edge, etc. These are pretty popular to get custom made by other luthiers since the prices on originals are astronomical due to being so hyped in the 2010s "djent" scene. The one Misha Mansoor used on Periphery II recently sold for $13200
That would be a bad idea to have a resistor in series. But if you look carefully, it's in parallel, with the bright cap, which would also be in parallel with half the pot, therefore reducing the resistance quicker when turning down, therefore changing the taper.
the cheap bridge looks ok to me.. its better than most of the stratlike trems.. or fender tele bridges.. at least it has this chunky and rounded baseplate/pool
Many are asking, who this builder is. I didn't express myself clearly here, the guy I bought it from is not the builder but first owner. The builder doesn't have a brand, he's just building guitars in his spare time and sells them occasionally on eBay Kleinanzeigen. His name is Daniel Büchner and he happens to have a beautiful guitar similar to this for sale right now: www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/e-gitarre-power-strat/2292644553-74-8791?ToPasteboard&
Guten Abend , ich denke für 200 Euro hast du dir da ja echt was schönes gegönnt :) Besteht die Möglichkeit einen Link zum Verkäufer bekommen zu bekommen ? Lieben Gruß aus dem Ruhrgebiet :)
10:49 I can't believe guitar builders are not ALL adding Carbon Fiber neck reinforcement rods.... they are only about $20 and take no time at all during the Truss Rod installation.
I'm building guitars in my free time, just for fun. And I'm about to install the exact same cheap chinese bridge on my next guitar. :D I'm left handed, so I built my first guitar for myself, with (almost) all the expensive parts, and it turned out great. The next one I've built was right handed, with the cheapest possible parts, but with stainless steel frets, and I gave it away for my friend who wanted to learn guitar for a long time. The reason for the cheap parts was that the new owner will be able to swap them out for what they like, and they work just fine for the price. (Except for the frets, so I installed stainless steel in the first place). The third one I'm building will have this particular cheap bridge, and the plan is that I'll offer this guitar to my other friend, who already plays guitar. He will be able to swap the bridge for something else if he wants to, and he will get a unique guitar for a price of a chinese guitar. :) On the other hand, I've also bought a handbuilt left handed fanned-fret 7 string for about 200 euros several years ago. I was suprised to see that it had cheap tuners, and the bridge was made out of wood! Not sure if it was because of cost saving, but it looks unique for sure.
In no way is that hand build, no guitar builder would sell it for that price (my father is a guitar builder). It has to be from China, but that doesn't automatically mean it's bad!
I didn't buy it from the builder directly but secondhand, therefore the price isn't representative. He sent me pictures of the building process just today.
and the capacitor + resistor parallel is a treble bleed circuit. Its a high-pass filter so when you turn down the volume, you don't lose any of the high end of your guitar sound.
Thanks Milian for this review.

This is a real player's guitar, love it. And the figuring and colour on that top are damn nice. Greetings from Schwabach!
hi...are you the gentleman whom build this beautiful guitar?
neve saw a player react to fret buzz like you did

The capacitor with the resistor look like a « treble bleed » it conserve the treble when you push down the volume. Nice song and video by the way 😊.
Thanks for the info!
Those pickups sound so good! Sort of a bareknuckle vibe with how much clarity they retain with big chords. An absolute steal for a gorgeous guitar 😁
it looks fine and and sounds really good. It looks like it has a treble bleed capacitor installed.

hmm if you're not a fan of the bridge and the neck moves, you could possibly install an evertune?
the algorythm is cruel (also new YT accounts) because it almost made me forget your awesome content but luckily you don't forget a great musician.
I think, the blue capasitor (with the resistor) is for "treble bleed" mod.
That looks fantastic, seriously cool build
content! What a steal, gorgeous guitar too
the capacitor is likely a treble bleed (to keep the high end when you roll off the volume)

Resistor is there because one of the pots is 250k ohms. To make it sound like 500k he used a resistor. Btw that guitar for 200 euros is a steal !

Hi. can you tell what amp and/or effect's do you use in this video, you have a great sound. And Merry christmass to you

After using Jackson Guitars (with Rods in them), I absolutely refuse to buy another guitar without rod reinforcement. It changes the fucking game.
Ooh a treble bleed circuit, nice
If you were shopping around for a guitar did your homemade ones not work out so well?
Can we have the contact info for the guy that build this? looks awesome
Yeah, I also would like to know and maybe get my hands on something he built
His name is Daniel Büchner. I posted a link into a pinned comment here to a guitar he has for sale right now.

Kramer makes guitars with maple bodies.
whats the name of the guy? i want a build from him
its very nice!!
Ι believe George Lynch original tiger esp was a maple body
That's beautiful! Not gonna lie, now I've got GAS again.
Nowadays you cannot even buy a humbucker set for 200 euros. Greetings from Trier :)
the neck laminate looks like bubinga
would you please make a video on Klirrton oh my goat !
Alright!
I got this guitar for 200.
..Why'd he cheap out on the bridge?
It’s a treble bleed.
but the big question is , who is that dude who makes those guitars ?
