BTS made a parody to this MV by themselves were they’re recreating the scenes but with no budget and in a much more goofy version (like Jin tries to kiss Yoongi instead of the statue 😅) I really recommend it to you to watch ! 💜
Girl when I tell u this is THEE music vid lmao I loved this reaction so much cackled at the part when jin and the balloon came up and u did the IT voice 😭
The phrase over the Painting says ,,Man muss noch Chaos in sich haben um einen tanzenden Stern gebären zu können‘‘. Its German and means ,,You need to have chaos in yourself to give birth to a dancing star‘‘. As a german it’s so cool to see them using my language in their MV‘s (Jimin with his tattoo in ,,set me free pt.2‘‘ as well)💜
It's a quote from the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and is about crativity among other stuff: "Friedrich Nietzsche's quote, “One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star,” captures a profound philosophical idea about creativity and self-creation. Here’s a breakdown of its meaning: 1. Chaos as a Source of Creativity: Nietzsche suggests that chaos-representing disorder, uncertainty, and inner turmoil-is a necessary precursor to creativity and innovation. It implies that out of confusion and complexity, new ideas and forms can emerge. The "dancing star" symbolizes a beautiful, creative outcome that can only arise from this initial chaos. 2. Inner Conflict and Growth: The chaos within oneself can also refer to internal struggles, conflicting emotions, and existential questions. Nietzsche often emphasized the importance of grappling with one's own nature and experiences. This inner turmoil can lead to personal growth and the development of a unique identity. 3. The Process of Becoming: Nietzsche’s philosophy revolves around the concept of becoming rather than being. He believed that life is a dynamic process of transformation. Embracing chaos allows individuals to challenge societal norms and push boundaries, ultimately leading to self-actualization. 4. Artistic and Philosophical Creation: The quote can also be interpreted in the context of artistic and philosophical endeavors. Great art and profound philosophical insights often emerge from the depths of disarray and introspection. The "dancing star" can represent the pinnacle of this creative process. In summary, Nietzsche’s quote emphasizes that embracing chaos and complexity within oneself is essential for fostering creativity, personal growth, and the emergence of new ideas or forms. It encourages individuals to engage with their inner turmoil to achieve greatness in their creative and existential pursuits." (quote from Quora)
You should watch their awards show performance of this. There is so much sizzling chemistry between V and Jin when they recreate this scene. V talks off the shirt off his back to reveal broken off wings and he embraces Jin from behind.
Peachy, J-hope has so many good songs, the list would be very long, lol. I think you might like Hobipalooza. He headlined Lollapalooza. Lots of Army and Jimin were there to support him. He was so stressed out about performing without the members that he lost weight 😢. But he ABSOLUTELY killed it! He was amazing(of course). I think he even gained some fans from people who were there to see other performers. It's long but so worth it. 🤗
Boy Meets Evil is a solo by J-Hope and goes along with this BST theme (temptation). Also Arson and More are from his Jack in the Box Album. You would really like his 2022 MAMA performance of Arson and More and of course 2022 Lollapalooza. Also there are good videos of J-Hope's duality. I loved his songs Lock/Unlock and I Don't Know from his HOTS Vol. 1 album that came out last March. He is very diverse and like the other six guys, very, very talented and he can switch up his look in mere seconds and then of course, there is his dancing . . .
This song and mv is based on an old classic titled “Damien” by Hermann Hess. There is an explanation video for BS$T by Don’t Worry I’m not Afraid channel and we would love it if you watched. You’re right Jin is last to give in to temptation.
*Herman Hesse I like this explained vid you mentioned. And I don't think Jin is the last to give into temptation: He is the main character Sinclair: it is his journey of becoming an adult and for this he needs to "break a world" and embrace both the world of light and the world of shadow. It's his journey of individuation.
You should check out the MAMA 2016 now, Jimin/Hope combo flows into live Blood Sweat and Tears performance. It was fantastic. The behind the scene and the parody are fun too 💜
Peachy, you may want to react to the meaning behind the MV videos. The BTS Universe is complex and everyone needs help to navigate through it, especially Blood Sweat and Tears which was so innovative and completely unique when it came out, setting BTS apart from the KPOP standard and propelling BTS to world wide super stardom. The song is based on Herman Hesse’s novel Demian as a metaphor for the loss of innocence (biting into the apple from the Garden of Eden) and confronting one’s temptations … paralleling BTS’s journey in life from boys to men, from ordinary to extraordinary . I think you will really enjoy learning more about the fictional time-traveling BTU with Jin, who plays the central role, and his interaction with the member’s complex characters.
It's not about "sin". It's about growing up/individuation. While they use religious symbols - Christian and Greek/Roman - the members are not actually religious. They are quoting Nietzsche over the mirror and he famously said: "God is dead" Demian is a novel about growing up without bowing to the dictator of relgious doctrine/heavenly rulers or earthly rules/kings/lords/etc. This is about the inner workings while he lives his life to become more and rebell against society norms on his path to indivduation. He "breaks the egg" to be born and embrace "Abraxas" as a good who has both worlds in him. The temptation is embraced, too, as it is part of what makes us human.
Hi Peachy! Your read the numbers wrong, it's close to 1 billiard!!!!! Lol ^^ BS&T is my favorite mv. First cuz it's so sexy hot decadent gorgeous SEXY HOT (said it twice cuz eh...) The members are just so fine!!!! Second, cuz there is a bunch of symbols, art pieces and metaphors. The imagery is superb! The meaning is deep and philosophical (based on Demian by Hermann Hesse, Nietzsche and Carl Jung. A Master Piece!!! AND IT'S HOT! I advise you to watch Bookish Theories if you want to understand the artistry of BS&T! And yeah, you should watch the dance practice (so sleek) and a live performance...cuz IT'S HOT!!!!!!
Yes, those are famous paintings: "the Fall of the Rebel Angels" by Pieter Bruegel the Elder "Landscape with the Fall of Icarus" by the same artist "The Lament for Icarus" by Herbert Draper The same way the classical music piece in the beginning is famous: Bach's Mass in B Minor - the Kyrie I part to be specfic - shifted up about a quarter tone The basis and the quotes that are also on the short films are all from Hermann Hesse's book Demian - a novel of coming of age under aspects of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and the pschologist pioneer Carl Jung - an aquantience of Hesse. Jin is Sinclair - the main character of the book - on his path to individuation. I think the channel "Don't Worry I'm Not Afraid" has an interesting explained vid. Apobangpo! 💜
Recommend if you are interested in finding out the so many meanings, you absolutely must react to: ❣️Blood Sweat & Tears: What Does It All Mean by the channel Don't worry I'm not afraid. 👍🙏💜❤️😍🙌✨ It's the most detailed explanation, referring to everything including excerpts from novel by Hermann Hesse 'Demian', translations & quotes from Neitzsche which is on the wall. As well as explaining Art works & scultures. Just so many details one might overlook otherwise It's basically about youth/adolescence, turning into adulthood, with new feelings, sensations, & temptations, and the choices & paths one chooses! Even the choreography reflects on the meanings of the song.
They do a spin and come back. Jhope does two spins or is on his third when he comes back. You really catch new things as you watch. This is so talented of Hobi. He does it so flawlessly, you don't even notice. BS&T Jhope is 👍👍
Now you gotta watch dance practice and live performance of blood sweat and tears!!! It's my fav era of BTS..wings era was something else😌 also Jimin's opening in live performances of blood sweat and tears was iconic and was viral..😂 bst is jimin era imho (just like i think DNA is Tae's era..we always say this this member was specially show stopper in those specific eras tbh( Don't come at me for this, but it's a saying in ARMYs), and ofc all members were seggsyaf in this vid!!! Breathtaking fr!!!!... many who didn't knew BTS were introduced to them through this song and jimin was taking the bias spot for many of them at that time😂 specially his iconic sholder move (he says it was accident, but BTS and ARMYs know, boy loves to show one side of his shoulder 😂) Anyways fun aside..i think you should also check out Blood sweat and tears explained! It's so much symbolism! Thank you again peachy 💜
for me and I think Blood sweat and tears are era jhope because I knew BTS because of jhope and I thought he was saying money money while dancing hard 🤣
@@eika-g4mer_yoongi207 ohh yes..most ppl thought hobi was saying money money money 🤭 and yes! Each ARMY thinks differently..ofc hobi would grab your attention, he was the one who introduced you to BTS..and our hobi is such a eye-catching dancer as well!! It's really understandable 😁💜
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. So glad you liked it. Great song. Adore it. Jimin was amazing in this. His voice the dance the fit, chef's kiss! We learn here that Suga can play the organ just as good as he can play the piano. He so awesome! All of them sound seductive just a pleasure for the ears. They look like they are in a museum to me too. =0] I was so surprised by the choreo when i saw it seperate. They leave a lot out. Fire!=0p Also, pls check out the explanation video for this MV. Bookish Theories is good. Rosan @xCeleste might have one too. Just take a look see. V is a fallen angel to me. He gives in to temptation all of them do. If u read the lyrics and pay attention to the symbolism the song is clearly about temptation not a relationship. The song and MV fit well together. There are a lot of layers in this one. BTS won 8 awards that year for this album and MV. They just swept the award show. Best day ever! much deserved. Yes, this is a BU story. Last supper is right. There were a LOT of biblical references and other hidden easter eggs. Like see no evil, hear no evil speak no evil was all in the choreo for a reason. I hope u watch the dance practice. It's so good. Lost boys is a good theory. Ur on the right track. Hugs -2019 ARMY NY USA 💜 Gorey Fantod said on 12/20/21 A note about the organ music you might find interesting/relevant: The piece that is heard is Buxtehude's, "Passacaglia in D minor," which is also the piece that Emil hears in the Pistorius section of the novel.* * All credit goes to ReactToTheK (specifically Yunyi), for figuring that out & tracking down the reference. ruclips.net/video/K3XtBF_qX0o/видео.html M M said on 12/20/21 I suppose you understand why this song has been used during lectures at uni haha. You're definitely on the right track, but there's sooo much more hidden in this song/mv. I love the explanation video by Don't Worry I'm Not Afraid ( ruclips.net/video/5tlgAUE6yjg/видео.html ). Fellow reactor Cedric Gegel actually did a great job breaking it down too, though he did it twice - first time for the more "apparent" meaning, and second time for the underlying meanings from the BU. tinyvantte said on 12/16/22 Some trivia about cinematography for u guys 👀: • RM reads a paragraph of "Demian" by Herman Hesse at 2:30 in the music video. And at the very beginning, RM is shown reading "Demian" by Herman Hesse. • At the beginning of the video, Jin looks at a painting titled The Fall of the Rebel Angels by Pieter Bruegel. • When Jungkook is dangling on the swing in the MV 0:20, the painting behind him is called The Lament of Icarus by Herbert James Draper. • In J-Hope' solo scene in the MV, he is standing behind Michelangelo’s Pieta. • When V is sitting on the ledge of the balcony in the MV, in front of him is the painting Landscape with the Fall of Icarus, also by Bruegel. • Tha table part: Apples are a sign of temptation and sin (apples are also mentioned in Demian). And on each plate, we see that each member has a chalice and an apple. All these things right in front of them are “tempting” them to sin. nighthawk326 said on 2/28/22 Here are all the art pieces represented in the mv: - Pieta (Michelangelo) - The Fall of the Rebel Angels (Pieter Bruegel) - Landscape with the Fall of Icarus (Pieter Bruegel) - The Lament for Icarus (Herbert James Draper) - Baroque Fresco (Giuaglio Quaglio) - Perseus with the head of Medusa (Benvenuto Cellini) - Livia Drusilla as Ops, goddess of fertility - Laocoon and his Sons - Crouching Venus - Venus de Milo - Venus at the Forge of Vulcan (Francesco Solimena) - Ares Borghese - Diana of Versailles - Angelus Novus (Paul Klee) - Regimental Band (Darsie Japp) - French fashion photograph (Henri Manuel) verna3120 said on 2/28/22 Loved your reaction and your thought process as you waded through the MV. And yes, I believe you were spot on about the “money/more” part. I think it’s a double entendre. It is more, more,, more (greed), but there’s also a saying in English, that “money is the root of all Evil”. @NanciBK said on 2/4/24 Most of their songs have layered meanings, but this one is indeed a deep dive. Their songs usually have a surface meaning that is universal, deeper stories that are personal to them, a layer under that which is a more nuanced dive into things like history, philosophy, psychology, etc, and sometimes also story clues and context relating to the BU (Bangtan Universe) all in the same song. Their MVs add another layer to the art in terms of the clues and storytelling going on visually. Add to that their choreography which is not just dope moves, but nuanced performance art storytelling, with moves related to the themes and lyrics. Add to that the fact that the song structures themselves can tell part of the story, like a song done in all downbeat minor chords which is about being caught in lies you tell yourself which has a major, soaring and uplifting chord on the chorus which is itself a lie within the song. Or a song about the 7 of them continuing to make music together and be with ARMY, which is full of unusual 7th chords. Or a pause and silence in the song instrumentation when the lyrics say "I take a breath." Or a song that uses basketball sounds as all the percussion, like sneaker squeaks, ball sounds, etc. Add to that their short films and other media like their mobile game and webtoons and books and so forth that continue their stories. They. Are. Geniuses. The choreography in B,S&T is seductive because there is a seduction taking place. It is the guys who are being seduced away from their childhood by the temptations of the adult world. Ultimately, they must surrender to the darkness because that is how you grow up, by letting go of the innocence of childhood like Jin lets go of the balloon. It's melancholy to embrace the dark and say goodbye to childhood, but you don't plunge into the dark headfirst, you add it to the light as a duality. Just as Jin embraced Abraxis, the god of both Good and Evil, Light and Darkness, we all must carry that duality within us, the chaos, the shadows, that allows us to be fully realized adult people capable of growth and creativity or giving "birth to the dancing star." Once they surrender and the blindfold comes off, they are not left in that black and white world of the duality. Instead, the world bursts with new colors, the creative expression of which they are now capable. In the end Jin sees the shell of childhood cracking as his new self begins to emerge. This song is off the masterpiece album Wings, which is all inspired by Demian. But so many of their songs and albums are masterpieces and every album is a concept album with a story to tell and they ask you to listen to tracks in order because they are in a storytelling order. Albums are based on psychological theory, or philosophy, or life stages and passages or personal struggles and experiences. The Most Beautiful Moment in Life series is about that moment between adolescence and adulthood, when you have to make real decisions as young adults, and the turbulence and challenges of those times. Jimin's album Face and BTS album BE are both pandemic albums, full of their pandemic struggles as well as the things that got them through. RM's album Indigo is the story of his 20s, triumphs, fears, lessons learned. Jungkook's album Golden and BTS album series Love Yourself all explore love in various ways, phases and types. V's album Layover tells a story of escaping and creating a virtual fantasy world where he can be together with BTS and ARMY, as told through songs about love, loss and longing. And so on.... There is SOOOOO much more for you to discover. I'm so glad you have joined us here in our cozy rabbit warren. BTS is love. ARMY is love. Borahae! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 @susieangelo6410 said on 2/28/24 Here's the EXPLAINED Video so you can understand this MV: ruclips.net/video/5tlgAUE6yjg/видео.html
This might be my favourite reaction of yours so far! The panic over how sexy it was, the confusion, the "What does it MEAN" meme mention 😂. 10/10 reaction and hella relatable
Jhope recommendation Blueside (special recommendation coz its my fav 😭) base line Arson Hope world Equal sign Neuron Lock/unlock I don't know I wonder Just Dance More (Army's ya'll can add more)
Just a suggestion for next time when you react to a music video, you might enjoy watching it all the way through without making pauses, so you can take it all in at once. When you rewatch, you can make pauses to notice the tiny details and add any remarks.
this is one i highly recommend the dance practice for so you can see the dance uninterrupted! One of their best imo. That slow motion handstand.... phew! rumor has it they'll be revisiting the BU in 2025 since everyone will be back and that will be the ten year anniversary of HYYH (the era when I Need U was the released and the BU began). I'm hoping we'll get a part 2 (and maybe a finale?) to the webtoon. Since their characters are supposed to be young, like JK is still in high school, I think the guys probably find it a bit weird to keep acting as those characters now lol HOWEVER! my dream end to the BU would be for them to make an animated film, or single season series, in something like the art style of the webtoon and have the guys voice act as their characters! That run episode when they did voice dubbing for disney films proves they'd be good at it
since you're obsessing over Jhope right now (me too girl lol) I really recommend Boy Meets Evil! it was released on the same album I'm pretty sure, and it's just Jhope singing and dancing
The sentence is in German (confuses me every time to read it^^) "I would translate it to: You still have to have chaos within you to be able to give birth to a dancing star." It is a quot from Nietzsche. My current favorite Songs of J-Hope are More and Lock/Unlock. But this changes depending on my mood. He (as all of them) has such amazing songs.
Hi Peachy, If you really love them then please help ARMY spread BTS's value. They are currently facing smear campaign and political harassment. Along with fun stuff please check out explanation videos of their songs. 1. Boracity Magazine : She does excellent video essays. Those are very informative. 2. Asian Entertainment and Culture : She also does informative video essays. 3. Rise of Bangtan series : It is fan made documentary. It's BTS's journey throughout the years chronologically. With none of the above you will face copyright issue. Completely free for ARMYs. Please consider doing it on RUclips. Because RUclips viewers are worldwide. Patreon viewers are limited. with youtube even casual viewers will be able to appreciate BTS. The intent is to let everyone know that BTS's music changes life for better.
I kinda wish she had watched the video all the way thru and then watched a second time to comb thru it. I never really mind pausing, totally get it, but I feel like I skipped half this video to watch the reaction. Glad she enjoyed it tho 💜
@alex__andrei said on 2/28/24 Okay, so this is gonna be a long comment so bear with me! I tried my best to write a summarized explanation on some of the symbolism present. “Blood Sweat & Tears” is the title track of one of their albums called “WINGS” (2016). This particular song and entire album uses a plethora of references that link to one book: “Demian” by german writer Hermann Hesse. This book tells the story of a young boy named Emil Sinclair and his childhood growing up during pre-World War I. He struggles to find his new self-knowledge in the immoral world and is caught between good and evil. Already we have some clues as to what this song/MV is about: the battle between good and evil and temptation. The video opens up with the members in a museum; notice how every member have symbols of innocence, such as a bike or slingshot; also each younger member is paired with an older member, their “mentor”, referencing “Demian”. Jin, the oldest member, stands alone. He is staring at the painting called “The Fall of the Rebel Angels” by Peter Bruegel the Elder. (good angels fighting Lucifer/evil angels fallen from Heaven). He is about to begin his journey towards finding his true self and identity. On the left & right, there is a white and a black door, which represent the paths Jin can go on: the good side and the evil side. Now, If you notice at 2:14, Jungkook is on a swing, and behind him is the painting called “The Lament for Icarus” by Herbert James Draper. Jungkook is representing Icarus troughout the whole video. (V also represents Icarus but in a different form). The swing could represent Icarus being safe, the Icarus following orders (he is supported by a swing, safe from the wrongdoings of the world). Also, notice the lollipop in his hand. This could symbolize either another symbol of innocence, or Icarus’ age as he was a child. Later we see a drop of wax dripping on JK’s finger (3:53). This is a representation of the fall of Icarus and foreshadows what will happen to him later in the video (JK licking the said wax from his finger, a symbol of Icarus’ temptation that would later come in as his downfall, foreshadowed by the painting in the back). At 5:19, V is representing Icarus but also a fallen angel (this scene can also symbolize the fall of Lucifer: he rebelled against God and fell from grace, tempting more angels to do so in the process, thus connecting to the painting at the beginning “The Fall of the Rebel Angels”, maybe this is why he smirks after he falls down the balcony). Behind him we see the painting “Landscape with the Fall of Icarus” by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. This scene represents the death of Icarus (he ignored his father’s warning about flying too close to the sun, until the wax that kept his wings attached to his body melted…and so he fell to his death-again we have the theme of temptation-Icarus falling to temptation. But…at 5:36/5:42 we see Jungkook again, but this time he is floating. He in this scene is dead, and him floating in the air represents how Icarus started “floating” in the water after he fell and drowned, connecting V’s and JK’s scenes. We also see feathers floating in the air and on the floor as well (being underwater). So the whole Icarus imagery in this MV comes in like this: Stage 1: We see JK/Icarus on the swing, Icarus being alive; Stage 2: V/Icarus falls off the balcony and into the water; Stage 3: The painting in the background (“Landscape with the Fall of Icarus”) foreshadows JK/Icarus when he is floating/drowned (him being dead/underwater); Stage 4: The painting behind JK (“The Lament for Icarus”) foreshadows V/Icarus having no wings on anymore which is the final stage. Now, the kissing scene. (By the way, RM is reading a paragraph from “Demian” at 6:05, if you didn’t read the book, you will not really understand; also, this scene portrays Jin letting go of the balloon. This can represent letting go of his childhood innocence, his youth and moving into adulthood) During the interlude of the MV, all the members run towards the exit except for Jin and V. If you notice, Jin has a very confused and scared look on his face while V blindfolds him with his hands. After that, a white statue with black wings appears: this statue represents the god Abraxas-the deity is a representation of good and evil. It is not good or evil, it is both (good and evil into the same word). After that, Jin walks closer to it, takes a look at it then kisses it. This scene represents how Jin has finally embraced both good and evil into himself (by kissing Abraxas), thus destroying the world of only-innocence that he has lived in prior to this. We then see V with his wings cut off, giving a smile to the camera (him smiling could symbolize that Jin’s growth is complete, and he finally welcomed chaos into himself which leads to self betterment and growth: Theory of Carl Jung: Accepting your Shadow). Again, Icarus but also a fallen angel. So this whole MV is revolving around Jin most of the time, he is the main protagonist of this it (his path to adulthood, maturity and acceptance of chaos within). The quote above the mirror at 8:15 is written in German (belonging to philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche) and translates as: “You need to have chaos in yourself in order to give birth to a dancing star” basically meaning that if you don’t accept chaos (evil/temptation) into yourself, you will not be able to grow to your full potential. At the end of the MV we see the old version of Jin, the version that was only pure and innocent cracking, there is no chaos in him and so he cannot give birth to the dancing star. Other scenes that further strengthen the overall theme of the MV include 2:52, RM “drinking” the poison (temptation), 4:32, a “Last Supper” kind of setting in which all the members have an apple and a chalice, both signs of temptation; 5:14, a blindfold and an apple (forbidden-fruit) and so on. Like I said, this is only a small part! There is so much I didn’t say here, and also keep in mind there is also the BU (Bangtan Universe) consisting of a fictional storyline, this MV is heavy in that matter as well, literally a whole new storyline apart from the one I said! 💜 @Ash-ny1kg said on 3/30/24 So the circles at the end of the short films were really important because they show how the pairs switched up for this era! Yoongi’s circle got added to Jimin’s to make a new symbol, Namjoon’s got added to Jungkook's to make a new symbol, and Hobi’s got added to Taehyung’s to make a new symbol. The original pairs from I Need U STILL apply to the storyline but ya those short films kind of help you understand why the pairings were like this for the blood sweat and tears mv. @joannabartocha1815 said on 5/25/24 The whole Wings album is about entering adulthood and facing temptations of the world. Blood, Sweat and Tears concept is based on the novel by Herman Hesse titled Demian. There is so many details, that I'm happy you're going to watch explanation video later. In the future if you have time, it would be great if you could check out dance practice videos (on Bangtan TV). They really show the whole choreography clearly, on live TV shows or concerts, camera work takes away from the dance. Of course I'm only recommending that, if you are interested in choreography no pressure I love live performances because you can hear them sing live with no effects on their voices, so you can clearly tell who sings which part. Thank you for your reaction! See you in the next one!
BTS made a parody to this MV by themselves were they’re recreating the scenes but with no budget and in a much more goofy version (like Jin tries to kiss Yoongi instead of the statue 😅) I really recommend it to you to watch ! 💜

I'm so glad!! I PURPLE YOU BACK, ICON💜💜💜💜💜💜
Theres an explanation video for this mv. Its actually very interesting and informative. Oh and the dance practice for this 😍🔥
With BTS you really have to expect the unexpected. Everything they do.. performances, music videos, story lines, etc. is always a surprise. 😊🫶🏼💜
A whole movie in a mv...... You spilled facts and in alpha slang "no cap" Girl..... It's the song that i first opened the magic shop for me.
HAHAH I'm pushing 30 using alpha slang, it just feels so right! LOL but I don't blame you - this song is PHENOMENAL !
@peachysaiyan I am 10 yrs older than you but need to keep up for my daughters.... Cool...
*Herman Hesse
I like this explained vid you mentioned.
And I don't think Jin is the last to give into temptation:
He is the main character Sinclair:
it is his journey of becoming an adult and for this he needs to "break a world" and embrace both the world of light and the world of shadow.
It's his journey of individuation.
for rapline songs you need to react ddaeng, ugh, outro: tear, or cypher
Yes plzzz
I love watching you being so passionate and animated when you react! Keep them coming girl!
Borahae!
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I believe Jimin wrote the melody. I'm a senior Army. This was incredible production. 🎉
The video is basically about the process of growing up ,the dangers of temptation and the loss of innocence.💜
You should check out the MAMA 2016 now, Jimin/Hope combo flows into live Blood Sweat and Tears performance. It was fantastic. The behind the scene and the parody are fun too 💜
I love this song sm and Jhope Part so iconic 💜 era jhope 🥹💛💛
Jhopes Boy meets Evil, goes with this song. It was always performed before BS and T
They are quoting Nietzsche over the mirror and he famously said: "God is dead"
Demian is a novel about growing up without bowing to the dictator of relgious doctrine/heavenly rulers or earthly rules/kings/lords/etc.
Lol ^^
BS&T is my favorite mv.
And yeah, you should watch the dance practice (so sleek) and a live performance...cuz IT'S HOT!!!!!!
man i love you and your channel you're so funny and entertaining 😭
so sweet, I'm glad you're enjoying the vibes Leochay!!
Yes, those are famous paintings:
"the Fall of the Rebel Angels" by Pieter Bruegel the Elder
"Landscape with the Fall of Icarus" by the same artist
"The Lament for Icarus" by Herbert Draper
The same way the classical music piece in the beginning is famous:
Bach's Mass in B Minor - the Kyrie I part to be specfic - shifted up about a quarter tone
The basis and the quotes that are also on the short films are all from Hermann Hesse's book Demian - a novel of coming of age under aspects of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and the pschologist pioneer Carl Jung - an aquantience of Hesse.
Jin is Sinclair - the main character of the book - on his path to individuation.
I think the channel "Don't Worry I'm Not Afraid" has an interesting explained vid.
Apobangpo! 💜
the dance practice for this is INSANE
OOHHH JIMINNNN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Peachy you're so extra and I'm here for it 🤣
Finally BS&T 😭😭
OMGGGG i kinda scream when I see this hahaha been waiting for this one of my faves!!
You have to check out the dance practice. It's amazing!
Breathtaking fr!!!!... many who didn't knew BTS were introduced to them through this song and jimin was taking the bias spot for many of them at that time😂 specially his iconic sholder move (he says it was accident, but BTS and ARMYs know, boy loves to show one side of his shoulder 😂)
Anyways fun aside..i think you should also check out Blood sweat and tears explained!
Hugs -2019 ARMY NY USA 💜

A note about the organ music you might find interesting/relevant:
The piece that is heard is Buxtehude's, "Passacaglia in D minor," which is also the piece that Emil hears in the Pistorius section of the novel.*

I suppose you understand why this song has been used during lectures at uni haha.

Some trivia about cinematography for u guys 👀:
• RM reads a paragraph of "Demian" by Herman Hesse at 2:30 in the music video.

Loved your reaction and your thought process as you waded through the MV. And yes, I believe you were spot on about the “money/more” part. I think it’s a double entendre. It is more, more,, more (greed), but there’s also a saying in English, that “money is the root of all Evil”.

Most of their songs have layered meanings, but this one is indeed a deep dive.

Just a suggestion for next time when you react to a music video, you might enjoy watching it all the way through without making pauses, so you can take it all in at once. When you rewatch, you can make pauses to notice the tiny details and add any remarks.
I wish my brain worked like this, LOL! I will forget all of my original thoughts if I don't spill them in the moment, sorry! TToTT

She needs to react to consert Wing trilogy video and then boy meet evil
this is one i highly recommend the dance practice for so you can see the dance uninterrupted!

He (as all of them) has such amazing songs.
a 100M views? maybe you 're not watching the official music video? please watch official MVs of BTS songs. thanks for enjoying you're BTS journey.

Hi Peachy,
If you really love them then please help ARMY spread BTS's value.

Okay, so this is gonna be a long comment so bear with me!
So the whole Icarus imagery in this MV comes in like this:
Stage 1: We see JK/Icarus on the swing, Icarus being alive;
Stage 2: V/Icarus falls off the balcony and into the water;
Stage 3: The painting in the background (“Landscape with the Fall of Icarus”) foreshadows JK/Icarus when he is floating/drowned (him being dead/underwater);
Stage 4: The painting behind JK (“The Lament for Icarus”) foreshadows V/Icarus having no wings on anymore which is the final stage.
@Ash-ny1kg said on 3/30/24
So the circles at the end of the short films were really important because they show how the pairs switched up for this era!
@joannabartocha1815 said on 5/25/24
The whole Wings album is about entering adulthood and facing temptations of the world.
