Technically, this is the lowest possible stakes we’ve ever had in a raid series. Like, yeah, the wrestlers have soul cancer, but it doesn’t actively threaten populations or worlds. It’s just a shitty situation brought about by a shitty culture that we just do happen to be able to fix by having fun along the way.

Well, I mean the soul enslaving thing is consensual at least, and it’s not like the souls have still have the consciousness or memories left to even be aware that they are being enslaved in the first place. Better than being murdered and turned into a relic weapon I suppose.
@@RockR277Yeah, with a name like “Arcadion Ascension tournament” someone is 100% trying to become a god, and with a literal ascian gliph being used as the symbol for it, it’s not hard to guess who.
@@shawnscouten5184 it’s consensual but the fact is that it’s SUPER unsustainable. People will most likely, on average, die and revive more times than they’ll die and stay dead. At best, someone will never die early and die naturally, which is a gain of 1 soul to the storage. But as we’ve seen, people really do just do whatever the fuck without caring since they have extra lives. So I highly doubt people are super sparing with their souls like Wuk Lamat’s caretaker whose name I forgot was.

At least so far it's not near the scale of other raids. Really just a few living people and a repository of souls to save. But I'm sure it'll grow to planetary proportions again lol
its fucked up and evil on a realistic scale and also its a situation where its a awful but sustainable status quo. like yeah its fucked up and awful but nothing changes for the worse if we dont win, it just doesnt get better either
The real evil of the plot reveal at the end of the tier is that it all but eliminates all chances for the funniest head canon/future reveal: All the raid just being kayfabe-with or without the WoL's knowledge
That’s tournament arc tradition.
This has gotta easily be one of the best normal raid series, I can't wait to see what hell the Savage versions are going to implement.

@@Dreadnought_XIII Except for Machinist and Blue mage, those are actualy blanks yet to be filled with any memories. Which is kinda funny. Because that means, that especialy with Machinist, all the abilites and acrobatics are pure WoL expression.

I can't believe you have to let the souls of your Static free each fight. Need a whole new static for every fight? These mechanics are getting ridiculous. Where am I going to find more than 7 people who put up with me
In that case you just grab the giant bug net and get to work after each raid night so you can do pulls in the future XD
It’s more like making one time use copies
what he said, they give you 7 clean souls and you customize them to look like your static each time (or hit random for duty finder)

This is the best first tier they’ve made in a long time, I am utterly in love with it. None of the fights are dull, they’re all fantastic and I can’t wait to see you race world first Woops!
First raid: Persona ass music
Second raid: Splatoon ass music
Third raid: Metal rage for the cage
Fourth raid: Hot horse women in your area (and more Persona ass music)

Honestly, I'm kinda wondering if this might not have been the shard that the androids were from originally. I mean its on par with YoRHa technologically as far as I can tell, so its entirely possible they're from the same version of reality.
I'm happy and terrified at how challenging the fights are. Imagine the chaos in Savage!
the move at the end of the 4th one was the answer to the healer strike, i seen multiple healer pairs fail to keep anyone alive during that multiple times
The third fight has some pretty hard heal checks too for casual content.
It's kinda funny to see proof of why the devs refused to up the healing requirements for so long...😆
At first, I thought I was seeing my character when Thunder showed up. I was like "when did I get blonde hair?" (my character has the same hairstyle, but dark blue with light blue highlights)
But then on closer inspection I saw brownish-yellow eyes, and was like "oh that's not me." (my character has blue eyes)
My mind didn't register that i don't have that outfit until much later in the video.
My friends made the same mistake with me, they saw Thunder and immediately asked if that was me (I had the same character model and hairstyle, but black in color with red eyes)
I'm so happy that they have a .hack style tournament arc.

I always enjoy hearing your perspective on new raids. Glad you also enjoyed them!
So in end walker we fought against Nihilism. In the patches after we fought against Nihlism again but we hopecore'd an emo chick. In Dawntrail we fought imperialism. Finally in the patches we fight the horrid spectre of late stage capitalism.
And in order we got into these situations by, going on a treasure hunt, going exploring in ruins, going on a summer vacation and going into a tournament arc. Y'know what, how about we sit home and do a puzzle?
The normal raids were so difficult. Savage is going to be fantastic!
The joke I made to my FC when we finished all the fights: "100 Gil says the mysterious arena president's name is Vincentus McMahonus." haha
The vibes were impeccable throughout!

I also think M4S the box is gonna open, it's going to be a power source and they'll merge with it. I'm thinking final form is some sort of angelic horse form.

You can tell Black Cat trained with Wicked Thunder. They use a lot of the same concepts. Half room cleaves, clones, clones doing half room cleaves.
Wicked thunder's design and color palette reminds me a lot of Kirin from monster hunter like even the designs on the legs match
well, ixion and kirin are both based on the same thing, but i do agree she's basically just wearing kirin armor lmao
Yaana is truly my favorite, good story for the raid too, just what we needed a tournament arc... on vacation :P
I have to point out that the Psychonecrosis that Wicked Thunder has and the soul disease that little boy Sphene was visiting both sound very similar to extreme levels of Tempering. Would be awfully nice if we had a cure for that.
Could also be connected with merging souls like with Ardbert. Because this seems more like the soul breaking down rather than be overpowered. That boy would also help with that anti-primal cute tho
With the boy it sounds more like aetheric corruption, in smaller form than the Sin Eaters of the first, or at least the victims at the Hospital
Its a theory that the announcer is the shard of lolorito or that lalafell from the end of art that frames you

My prediction for next tier is that you’re gonna be going into the actual facility and end up having to put down some of the previous fighters. And also Metem will get soul-ified against his will and forced to fight you as AAC8, kinda like how Zoraal Ja lost control after absorbing too many souls
That first boss tiles is giving me e9s flashbacks, thank god you can actually jump in this though

Im really considering making this the first savage set I do while it's actually relevant instead of an expansion or 2 later. These were some fun normal fights
So, my predictions for the Arcadion. Either Kuja will be the president, with his iconic Trance form being his feral soul and then he becomes Necron is Savage, or the president just ends up being Necron, feeding off the souls of the former fighters.
the Athena raid, they didn't let you jump across the gap with a specific debuff, the technology has already exist ever since they made jumping puzzle

I don't think jumping across gaps is a technology thing, I think it's just the first time they haven't purposefully given us a debuff that turns jumping off.
