U.S. WW2 Reenactment Setting up our Machine Gun Nest - American Military Camp - Teuven Belgium PART1

- Hello my loyal viewers!!
Here I am again with a BRAND NEW Reenactment video!
We were invited to take part in a WW2 Reenactment in the small town of Teuven (Belgium) just across the Dutch border.
Back in 1942, a B17 bomber crashed in Teuven, the crew of 10 survived, but a civilian who wanted to check for survivors, lost his life when the plane exploded.
We were asked to be present in Teuven for 2 days, to remember the crash, and set up a WW2 Military Camp.
I won't spoil the rest of the video, so I will just say... I hope you enjoy watching!

Ga je komen naar Borlo dit jaar.
Ok
@@bjarnekumbruck8543Borlo nooit meer! Kinderachtige achterbakse organisatie.
@@History-Secrets Ah oké, spijtig omdat ik u eens wou ontmoeten, ik ben een grote fan van u daarom. Waar gaat u dan nog ergens heen als ik vragen mag?
@@bjarnekumbruck8543Dat is inderdaad jammer.. Ik ga binnenkort naar Eben Emael!
You inspired me to start my own collection but finding WW2 memorabilia here in that state is hard and extremely expensive keep the good work.
That's so awesome!! Never give up, keep collecting! 😄
NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER WHAT
My dad stormed the beaches at Normandy and fought all the way through most of Europe. He barely survived 8 months of combat, earning the silver star an 4 purple hearts. He died in 2004 after living with PTSD and until the day he died, he wouldn't talk about what he referred to as "the worst 8 months of his life." He only said that he (and all his military friends that survived), hated every minute of being over there...
That's what I know about world war 2... It's a sad, depressing event, that my dad remembers as the most awful tragedy that he ever experienced... I remember that he once said he burned all his old uniforms, after he got home...
But hey - "History Secrets," keep on playing with all those uniforms and helmets... Even though they gave my dad nightmares, until the day he died - it looks like you're having a blast... Seriously though, it is pretty sickening that you love this stuff and collect all of the memorabilia - - and even re-enact the PTSD inducing tragedy of my dad's youth... But I promise you, that if you had actually lived through the battle of the bulge, you wouldn't be reliving it, or treating it like a damn pajama party!
It is never a dull day when history secrets uploads a new video
I'm happy to hear that!!
Too right, It turns the shittiest of days into the best ones
Thanks for keeping the history alive! I really miss attending these events since I moved back to the US.
Did you ever get your MG fixed? From the bad memories of last time getting almost road-killed? I saw them tires and instantly had flashbacks. Love your vids and the GF dressed up to, that's great that your buddy and his GF and you have all dressed the part. Makes it that much memorable. Greeting from North Carolina.

So i got a question do you use deactivated ammo for your guns or live ammunition and did you ever use BB/airsoft guns in reenactments?
I hope that you're wearing lots of organic SPF-50 sunblock.
So cool! You did such a great job.
Thank you for watching!!

@History Secrets what’s the story about putting white bandages (or something else) around the 30 cal?
It's a belt pice that is used around the barrel for as if is getting hot the belt cloth wil not burn easy if the barrel schroud Will get hot
I got this idee from original picture s
Thank you for that!
Love the videos! :D
This vid just made my day🎉
I'm glad to hear that!!
What I found extremely funny was when he said “wow that’s really big” and he just has the fancy font casually saying “that’s what she said”
LETS GOOO HE BACK
Yesss sirrrr!
I love how he kept saying “historically correct” like of course it’s historically correct the earth doesn't just change completely and you have to make literal mountains and fields just for a re-enactment and some other stuff like that
I’m not hating or something I just think it’s funny
Ik vindt deze video’s echt leuk
The dogs back!!! 😁😁😁
i have 1 question where would you recommend buying a American canteen cover for my 1943 canteen and how would you preserve original wool uniform
Hello from 🇺🇸 Pennsylvania to be exact
I love your videos
Thank you!!
M8 Greyhound has the markings for 113th Cav. Grp. "Redhorse" they are from Iowa. 1st Army level recon.
Hey dude loved the vid but I gotta ask when will you do a ww1 reenactment and do you have a set of gebirgsjager gear?
There aren't really WW1 reenactments in my area, maybe in the future I will make a video about it. No, I don't. Thank you for watching!
You should treat your boots; “dub” them, as it’s more commonly called.
Combinations of hubard’s shoe grease and snow seal are what most people in the states use. Anything that will moisturize and waterproof leather should work.
It might not seem like it, but the boots are actually treated. I've been using them for years
@@History-Secrets maybe use more 🤷🏻♂️
The darker the better
I had another thought…
Not sure if what you mean by “they are treated” as you have done in in the past. It’s not a one and done thing. You continue to do that whenever the boot gets dry or starts to loose the dark color (an indication that the coat is wearing off and needs to be reapplied).
Lets goooooo!
Nice!
Historically correct! That’s what she said!!! 🤣
😂😂
I love your Videos 😊
Thank you so much!!
I really want to get into WWII reenacting, but the part of the video where you were showing your friend's German helmet got me thinking: How common is it for personal items to get taken at events (whether intentionally or by accident)? I am sure reenacting organizations try to limit and punish this as much as possible, and your average reenactor probably respects their fellow hobbyist's property, but it has to still happen at times, right?
@History-Secrets I can understand your issue with the gaiters I had that issue when I started collecting militaria and then I wanted to reenacting so I decided to do us airborne 101st airborne 506 because I enjoy the airborne and I just like how they carried all there equipment with them and on them and the exclusive jump boots that the paratroopers wore I’ve heard that If a paratrooper saw another allied service member wearing jump boots and they were not a paratrooper the paratroopers would take the jump boots off of the non airborne soldiers.
Wow
Hey history secrets are you going to the ww2 reenectment from the fort ebenmaal ?
I live in Germany and I would like to collect ww2 gear, weapons and uniforms but as soon as you buy something from ww2 here (even if it's american etc.) you're labled as a n4zi. Which sucks if you couldn't guess that.
Echt super vet!
Finally!
nice thx m8
Take a shot of alcohol every time he says "historically correct" you might die
