Good video mate. I have just stripped down my 60 series gearbox and transfer case. Same thing here, had to grind out the bearings just like you. I`ve never been inside a gearbox before and your video has given me a lot of confidence. I just need to see the reassembly video. Of course if it doesn`t come along I will just get on with it, fingers crossed. Have a good day.
thanks graham. that stupid bearing was a pain in the arse hey!!! glad to be of help. i havent had time to edit the final vid. hopefully get to it soon. sorry for the delay! good luck on your box!
Cheers Nathan, after screwing around your video helped get my rebuild done and the bundy is moving again. Question, if you missed the cir clip on the end of the pressed bearing assembly which engages 4x4 / goes to the front wheels would you dismantle and put back on immediately or wait for a couple of weeks (of not much use) until the new, in better condition idling shaft arrives?
Tim Green hey mate. cheers glad it helped. i wouldnt use untill you get it back on. too much could go wrong and theres alot of tourqe runnin in a gearbox. i wouldnt drive it without it. then do idler shaft and circlip in one go. save pullin it out twice

Hi Nathan, did you change the second gear syncro? For some reason the kits come only with 3rd 4th and 5th syncro rings, do you know why?

So there’s no bearing puller, you must hack them out?
I didnt have one im sure you could find one.
or maybe tap them out from the inside. im not sure this is what worked for me at the time. and at the time i had no puller unfortunately
*sniff*
