So many insightful lyrics that reach deep beneath the surface: "Being loved for my hazard and a will to destruct," or "Don't be sorry for missing the party/'Cause somebody's party is missing you , too."
Kara Jackson’s voice has perhaps the most unique timbre I’ve heard in a long time. Her voice is extraordinarily rich and refined. This entire album is spectacularly somber and sobering. I implore everyone to listen to it
this beauty is hard to sum up with words, this feels like exactly what's always been inside me, this dark purple surrealism, the sounds are so perfect. so happy for you and that this is available to me, art is the best thing in life
this is currently my obsession basically i can't go through a day without being haunted by "it's hard to be patience when you're waiting on luck". thank you for this beautiful piece of work!
Music has been my passion over a long life. I find a singular originality in your music that I have not heard elsewhere. It is intriguingly unusual, and full of surprises in arranging, instrumentation, melodic lines and composition. Your lyrics show a command of language and expression. I wish you well, I hope you keep it up, and that you have a long and successful career in music.
this music is perfect for feeling bad and giving up on yourself and I want to feel myself this way. I want to experience these emotions. I'm thankful for this possibility
I resonate so much with your lyrics. You’ve written what has been going through my head all this time that I can’t manage to put into words. Thank you so much for this song.
KCRW's eclectic24 plays this song several times a day, and while I typically just have it on as background noise, whenever this song is played I genuinely stop and listen to it. This is what I'd imagine a siren sounding like to sailors out at sea. This chilling but beautiful melody that has lyrics within lyrics and a chord progression that ebbs and flows between melancholy and reluctantly upbeat in a hypnotic sort of way. i don't know why, but the first artist to come to mind for me when thinking of who this most reminds me of was Bob Dylan--if only because of the lyrics. The meaning in them isn't immediately apparent but that sort of leaves it up to the listener to decide for themselves what they mean based on their own experiences. Music like that is genuinely transcendent, you don't just listen to it, you hear it... you feel it. This song may only have 60k views, but it's easily the most robust and emotional sonic experience i've heard in any song this past year... perhaps even longer than that. Everyone should share this with someone they know.
Dang.... I was two clicks away of being the 666th "Like" to this wonderful and timeless work of art! Bravo Kara! Please keep up the brilliant work. To all others, MAKE SURE TO DEMOLISH THE SUBSCRIBE BUTTON!

I wanna play this song... But i need a tab 😞
It takes me to Terry callier...
music is much more important than aesthetic.

Julia Paul
Damn ok.
Reminds me of one of billies songs just the way the guitar is played or lil peep
it's time to move beyond the Frank Ocean production styles . . .
