You nailed it... a skilled eye will always be required to program and monitor cobot and robot welding equipment. We use 2 robots at my current employer and have weldors to run them. Someone with a strong background in welding is needed to ensure the robot or cobot produces a quality weld and quickly notice any issues.

If I knew when I was a kid, how big of a deal of welding I would be in that trade til this day. My take on this is repair, and when the robot goes down . And they always go down . Rather, it be from software to just plan out right not turning on. It will help with the demand, though.

Where did you find that hood? I can’t find it on outlaw leather but I really like that larger screen

I don't have any experience welding with cobots, but I sure wouldn't challenge that giant thing you're standing under to an arm wrestling contest.

Cobot, short for collaborative robot, are intented to be used along with humans. The key difference to a normal robot is get they will lose at a wrestling match with a human 😁

The thing people don't realize is that, in Rome a blacksmith would have somewhere in the ballpark of 5/7 apprentices in his shop pounding hot steel that was holding. Then the water wheel came to be, and with it the power hammer, or its eairest form. this allowed the smith to drop down to 1 or 2 apprentices. "oh no the hammer took their jobs" no it didnt. i fact more jobs were created because of it. Today we have more people and more jobs then the romans did at any point in their empire. we also have a bigger economy then they did. Automation has never, and will never, take away peoples jobs. its clear that if it dose anything it will make jobs

keep dreaming buddy ,it it is like that why then unemployment only grows? Where are those automated factorys to hire all those people? Nowhere to be seen.Use your brain if old factory hired 1000 people and new one need 100.That means you would need 9 more factorys built to hire same 1000 people. And for who will those 9 new factorys produce when there was market for only 1 factory ?
