    I had one implanted last week, for my genetic Long QT syndrome, they are much smaller now. Biotronik The size of a pen lid. I uploaded a video on my channel about my operation to place it.

    I had a seizure 2 months ago , heart rate dropped to 36 beats per minute, but after going to the hospital heart rate came back up to normal. After multiple test they installed a heart loop monitor. No incidents so far. Went to my stomach dr. To have a upper GI done. Walking into building I was short of breath , cold sweat. The got me ready for procedure, heart rate dropped to 38,33,31, never came back up. Went to hospital and had a pacemaker installed. It was my stomach dr that caught the problem not the heart loop monitor. I asked the cardiologist why my monitor did not pick this up. They called up record of my monitor and said the last time it was downloaded was July 30th. That was the last time I saw my cardiologist ! This happened August 15th. What the hell good is the heart loop monitor if nobody monitors the damm thing ! I had been short of breath on and off for a good week or so .

      how does it transmit data? Do your phone app or receiving device that then connects to internet or, does the unit that’s put in your chest are transmit directly somehow??

    I have one. They implanted mine after a Catheter ablation. My electrophysiologist couldn't get my heart in the right rhythm so implanted a loop monitor. I have Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome.

      Hi Nikki how did it work for you?

    • @YoumatterDragonfly
      @YoumatterDragonfly 8 лет назад +2

      It's fine. It doesn't actually do anything to help other than show my specialist what rythms my heart has been in. It's logs any abnormal rythms and sends the reading to his office. I'm due to have mine removed soon. It's been a little over 3 years.

    I just had the small Medtronic Reveal Linq fitted, My first question is that I am a little confused as to what I am
    supposed to do, Just saw a youtube user video where the user does a
    manual send using the removable part of the base station after recording
    an episode with the little patient activator, but I also saw an
    official Medtronic video where the lady said you only use the removable
    part of the base station when you first set up the machine, afterwards
    it collects and transmits the data to your doctor every night.I would also like to know when I should be marking events with the little
    activator as by the afternoon I have permanent palpitations, should I
    even bother marking these with my activator or does the implantable loop
    device record abnormalities anyway and automatically transfer them?What I am asking is if I do absolutely nothing at all, will my doctor still
    get to see what my heart is doing during palpitations?

    Is it normal to feel this device in you? Mines is poking like a small bump under my skin and I feel it moving especially when I sleep. Is this normal? I got it done about a week ago.

    • @mimi4sure

      Sharon Naylar It was very easy for them to remove it. The second they did my pain was gone.

    • @mimi4sure
      @mimi4sure 8 лет назад

      Sharon Naylar Are you in real pain though? Like how long ago did you get the device put in? On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest pain I gave my pain level a 9! Are you in that type of pain?

    I can’t do this 😟 I am cancelling my appointment because I am way to scared to do this… my doctors did not explain any of this to me. I’m so scared.

      I had Loop implant yesterday. Around 20mins start to finish. Totally untraumatic. Only pain experienced was the local anaesthetic injection. I have been painfree since procedure 20hrs ago. Took regular paracetamol post- procedure. I feel relieved that my random symptoms can now be captured by this device, and hence, a diagnose can be made, and correct treatment given. I hope you can get further help from your cardiologist if you expressed your fears. God bless

    Has anybodies loop recorder ever vibrate. Like out of the blue its freaking me out and i dont know what to do

    • @Daisy00984
      @Daisy00984 Год назад

      Juanita Bowens. My recorder was inserted yesterday. This model ( LUX-Dx) vibrates only when the actual monitor ( looks like a cell phone) is scanned over the Loop recorder site. This means, the vibration indicates that the scanner/monitor is positioned correctly to capture the event.
      Either your physiologist or your user manual may help you with how your recorder functions, and explain the vibrations in your model. Hope this helps
