I don't have lemax figures but you said you trim them down what does that mean? Amazing Department 56 Village accessories my understanding is that they are a larger scale than most things use for Magna rail so happy to see that it kind of work but I want to make sure do you think it would work with porcelain figures?
When suggesting timing, I am referring to the base of the figurines so that visually the items are seem to be moving on their feet and not the pedestal that the feet are attached to. As to porcelain, as long as they are hollow there shouldn't prove to be any problem in moving them, it is just the visual effect if they are on a pedestal. Should their feet be at "street Level" it should work. It is all about creating the magic of movement in items that are usually static. AS to how much magic you apply is up to your willingness to try to modify your figures. Hope this helps.😄
Ciao Clyde, ciao Gaetano. Great job! Your village is beautiful, with great attention to detail and with many beautiful pieces. You are lucky to have so much space. The use of the Magnorail system makes it even more beautiful. The idea of getting skiers to move is very nice and with magnorail it works very well. In these days I am preparing the Christmas village 2020 and I am inserting a new movement that uses magnorail. Hope it will be ready in a couple of weeks.
Hi Heidi - Magnorail is an established but small company. It has thousands of happy customers worldwide who have introduced the MAGIC of Magnorail in to their wide ranging hobbies and businesses from model railroads, Lemax and Department 56, dioramas, architectural models, modern artworks etc. There is no option or plans for price reductions at the present time. The only thing is to watch the currency differences between countries and see if you can buy it say through Magnorailoz.com.au when the Aussie dollar is cheaper - some USA and S/E Asian purchasers have found this the case, even with international post taken into consideration. Hope this helps. - we are seeing more people from the Lemax and Department 56 fraternity using the system to enhance their already magical displays! Clyde
Derrick here from ChristmasDreams - well done gaetano !!! - glad to see that you have put your many purchases from Christmas Dreams to great use!! I like the cyclists idea you copied from my original posting on a "Summarized" Skating Pond base!!
We recommend a laminated surface like white PVC sheet but only about .5mm thick. If a small area, you can print out your track and then use either clear or matt laminating pouches to getyou the correct finish. If it is a larger area, most office supply shops can dp long sheets of laminating for you.

The video shows how Gaetano completed his ski run step by step. He made it separately and then blended it into his display, making sure his tree line down the middle of the run hid the skiers being dragged up hill to keep the illusion or MAGIC happening when they reappear at the top and ski down again - all done with the Magnorail Starter system but with an extra motor to offset the weight of the Lemax figurines,
Hi Leoneare. The project was actually put together by Gaetano Vella and I just produced the video for him.. he used a Magnorail Slider starter set and added an extra motor as the Lemax figures are quite heavy. He filed off most of the bases and inserted magnets flush. The set gives you about 1metre long two lane circuit with turning circles at both ends.. The video gives a fair idea of how it is all achieved. I can give advice on the Magnorail part but have no knowledge of the Lemax figures used. Hope this helps. You can email me at admin@magnorailoz.com.au - Clyde
Gaetano has just loaded his 2021 village scene - beautifully done. It shows the ski run and his bicycles using Magnorail ruclips.net/video/V99FFnFgONc/видео.html&feature=share
MagnorailOz sells direct in to the USA - Delivery is only about 10+ days at present. Magnorail is a small family owned company, as is MagnorailOz , so no big distribution channels. Check out our shop at www.magnorailoz.com.au
THERE WAS A COMMENT MADE BY C21L21 ON A PREVIOUS VERSION THAT WAS DELETED DUE TO AN ERROR: .- So it is possible to use Magnorail to run something on an incline. 🤔 I’m currently in the process of building a carnival layout and am researching ways of running carnival visitors up and down a hill (I want the layout double tiered). In real life there are people who cannot for one reason or another walk up and down hills and layouts look better if there’s a hint of realism in them. This video has given me food for thought. THE ANSWER IS YES, AS CAN BE SEEN BY GAETANOS SKI RUN. ALSO CHECK OUT MY ECHO LAKES 3RD ITERATION WHERE WE HAVE A BILEVEL ROADWAY GOING OVER THE LAKE. you could have a tractor pulling a trailer with people on it, a mini bus or any vehicle you wish! What material do you use to cover the tracks to make skiers glide?
