    Really nice to hear the trumpets play big in this ensemble for a change. Piccolo struggled with tempo a bit but was still good.

      I'm thinking that when Lucas auditioned for the alto chair, he never expected to be playing that piccolo part, lol.

    This band was transported from 1940s to now. Shame the unappreciative simpletons that call todays music art...cant bother loving this music.

      This is more 1960s-1970s big band genre---Buddy, Maynard, Thad/Mel, Doc's Tonight Show band.

      @@mikeprevost8650 Believe it or not, the Donald Piestrup big band is still around. That was from the sixties. They are in The SF Bay area. Woody Herman and Benny Goodman lasted well into the 70s as did Kenton. Many more but yeah I agree with you. Don't know about you but I love to search for all the different performances of any one tune by as many different bands as possible. Never know what is out there.
