kuki can heal but raiden can't heal meanwhile Raiden skill provide really high uptime with no need to stay close to the enemy but you have to atk in order to activate her skill who would you like to use in your team comment down below !!

I initially use Raiden because my Shinobu wasn't built properly at the time (lv 70, low talent lv, etc) and Raiden is better in most aspects (higher uptime, boost xq/yelan burst dmg, access to higher em 4-star weapon, faster hit) and most situations (as long as her E trigger can hit seeds on the ground) but nevertheless it feels wasted to use her just like that. pulled her C2 on latest rerun and shifted to hypercarry from that point, so I finally get Shinobu to lv90 and use her for the team.

@@snowbeast074 theres no diminishing return for bonus stats and skill kits like kuki. Diminishing return only occurs on chars who need to balance 2 or more stats at the same time like atk and cdmg, while kuki strength in a party scales on em only so its safe to say that super high em for her wont give penalties or consequences

    • @felixonline1825
      @felixonline1825 Год назад

Thats rather negligible especially because of how conditional it is, you are likely to clear a chamber before that happens (also a rather recent character so c6 is unlikely for a lot).
While Kuki consolidates a healer spot hyperbloom teams are so flexible that you could also just slot in someone else or not need it at all (being able to quickswap) Raiden also has the advantage of being able to achieve higher base em more easily (dragons bane) and easier to play, higher uptime and faster skill hits.
Em is also the only stat in the game with true diminishing returns so 150em might not be significant past a certain level of investment.
I dont know the exact numbers but as an example going from 950 to 1000 will increase hyperbloom dmg by 5% but going from 1000 to 1050 will only increase it by 3% and so on.
Stats like atk and crit will always increase dmg by x amount its just at very high investment 5% more atk won't do that much overrall

I think you should have also compared the damage every 2 rotations. Aside from the obvious rate of electro procs, raiden allows nahida hyperbloom to deal damage WHILE setting up your xingqiu Q E and Yelan E Q.
Kuki has 15 seconds of E uptime that needs to be activated only when xingqiu and yelan bursts are active to maximize damage.
With that 2nd rotation difference in mind, you can see why when your hyperbloom damage is enough for one rotation for one wave of eneemy, there is somewhat no difference in using raiden and kuki aside from heal benefits from kuki, range potential of raiden, or unconditional hitbox of kuki E.

  • @hiimapop7755
    @hiimapop7755 Год назад +9

Raiden can be unreliable at times when the enemy has a weird hitbox. She's insanely strong against single-targets though, if they're mostly stationary. With Kuki, you can run around and proc stray seeds that would otherwise be wasted if you were using Raiden. Her healing can also be convenient if you need the survivability when you have Nahida on-field.
Raiden's very long uptime on her skill is very useful though, since there's really no proper rotation to Hyperbloom, so you can stay on Nahida for a long time before ever needing to switch out, and Kuki doesn't have 100% uptime on her skill before C2 (you dont really need it though, 36 starred the Abyss a dozen or so times with just C1 Kuki before I got her C2 this patch).
Overall, I recommend Kuki for most scenarios even if Raiden can proc the seeds faster and for longer. Your damage floor is already so high, so putting Raiden on the second half with a dps build will improve your time more than using her on Hyperbloom.

kuki is good for those who dont have raiden. the thing is, raiden e procs far away where enemy is, you dont have to facetank it to proc hyperbloom, yes you dont have healing in raiden kit but you still have a free slot where instead of double hydro you can pur a healer or a shielder, solo yelan\xinqui is enough imo. There is also situation, where your kuki is always at low hp due to her e and when you switch to her to press E sometimes she can die if enemy suddenly attacks you in those seconds while you are on kuki, yes, window is small but my kuki died in those 2-3 seconds many times, not many enemies can snipe like that, but when and where it matters the most (abyss) thats painful. So kukis healing isnt that important, when you have a good shielder. There is also an option to have two hyperbloom teams, why not, baizhu is coming so hey, why not both =)

    • @everettjoseph6189
      @everettjoseph6189 Год назад +7

Sorry to say this but kuki dying via switching literally sounds like a skill issue cause never have I ever died once when I switch to her and if I'm really in dire need for her to heal I use her burst and the I frames is long enough for her to heal to half and her em scaling is literally tied to her healing as well so even if her healing is hp scaling her passive makes it so em will scale your healing as well so a fully em built kuki is the same as a fully hp built kuki.

Almost any character in the game can slot into a three unit hyperbloom team so long as they aren't ruining the reaction. Hell, you could throw in cryo and even get a noticeable amount of freeze uptime while not interrupting your hyperblooms. The sore or Nahida, Xingqui/Yelan, Raiden/Kuki is such a high damage floor that you can really have fun with the fourth slot.

      1. She can proc blooms on shielded enemies, Raiden can't.
      2. She can proc blooms on flying enemies and those that often reposition themselves, Raiden can't.
      3. She has better weapon options, 3 4* weapons one of which one is craftable and a 5* weapon that gives EM, HP and supports team with EM.

You'd need to bring Ganyu or Rosaria probably. Kuki really loves Layla's shield though, to safely catch some of her own healing. It also allows her to be on field if you can time Ayato's and Nahida's ults for even more hyperbloom damage :)

C2 Kuki and c0 Raiden are pretty much interchangeable as a hyperbloom trigger. Without the extra uptime of c2, Kuki can fall behind a bit. Who you use is really up to content, preference and whether or not you need the extra healing. Raiden can be guaranteed (provided you save up for a rerun) while getting Kuki is entirely RNG even when she is on rate up. As an example of how hard it can be to get a specific 4*, back in 1.4 I ended up with c2 Childe trying to get one copy of Rosaria. You could in theory (though the odds are tiny) get c6 Nahida and Nilou both before getting a single copy of Kuki off the current banner. I really wish they would expand the 4*s that show up in the starglitter shop.
The important take away really should be that with both of them you can run two competent hyperbloom comps in abyss.

Personally i like Raiden better than kuki. Why? Because u don't need to stay close for hyperbloom pros, u get some free energy for the team and the duration is more than double (25sec). Yes kuki heals but in abyss there's some enemys that can one shot like phoenix+scorpion from last abyss. If i rlly need survivability my 4th will be a proper shield/heal unit like my layla or bennett that heals 7.5k per tick. U don't need double hydro for hyperbloom one good yelan or xq is plenty. To me on of the worst downsides on kuki is she'll constantly stay at 1 hp and can easily die on a quick swap. And for ppl commenting about raiden E not triggering bloom cores because of enemy shields just E on the cores lol it's less convinient but works also how many of these enemys do u actually face it's the minority. I used both units on a proper hyperbloom team in the overworld, in the abyss and i simply prefer raiden over kuki cuz she feels better to play and overall provides more.

And many ppl said kuki is overall better just because this abyss cycle has wenut. I mean yeah that true because the wenut hit box is to large and the raiden E AoE does not reach the seed on the wenut (targeting priority raiden E is on the tail while the seed is generating on the head), while kuki can reach the seed because her skill can reach on the wenut's head (doesn't require targeting priority like raiden), just because we have one issue on that character, doesn't make that character will be overall better than the other one.
Im happy you mention about raiden skill last longer than kuki, that what we usually call cooldown sync. The more longer you play this game, the more longer you realize cooldown sync is important. I have play raiden and kuki in hyperbloom, and it kinda weird while using kuki because her skill has 15 sec cooldown, while her team (nahida, xq, yelan) have 20 sec cooldown which mean that it feel awkward on the middle/second rotation you have two possibility : your kuki skill won't last longer before xq and yelan burst is finished or you have to recast the kuki's skill but it will desync the duration. I assuming that we have c2 kuki, if we have c0 kuki it will make more feel awkward and weird because we have like 2 - 3 sec downtime which cannot proc the seed.
(I'm sorry if there are parts that are difficult to understand, my English is so bad)

in a longer fight such as in Spiral Abyss where dps actually matters Ei is higher dps than Kuki from a hyperbloom standpoint. The reason comes down to 2 things, reaction ICD and delay between electro application for hitting seeds. Ei's elemental skill hits faster per activation compared to Kuki's skill, 0.9 seconds compared to 1.5 seconds. As for the argument that Kuki can bank up more dendro cores and still detonate all of them doesnt matter when the ICD will only allow 2 of those cores to actually do damage per target within a 0.5 second window. hitting 2 instances of hyperbloom damage every ~1 second is more dps than doing the same 2 hyperbloom hits every 1.5 seconds.
That said Kuki heals but you can also toss in a kokomi as the 2nd hydro for Ei hyperbloom too and you still have ample hydro application to get 2+ cores per second. As said before Ei's skill wont activate on shields so it is kind of useless on that but if the shield is electro or hydro it wont matter because Nahida can rip those shields apart fast.
As for me I did build my Kuki for hyperbloom instead of Ei and the reason for it is that I got a c2r1 Ei. She has a decent set on her and is great burst damage on her own so I would rather keep her with that build and still get my hyperbloom option with Kuki. Also even in abyss Kuki is MORE than capable of clearing a 36 star run. In the 3.4 patch abyss I did a 3 character challenge with Kuki-Nahida-Kokomi first half and Yae-Kazuha-yaoyao 2nd half and crushed that abyss with around a minute to spare each chamber but it also was a really easy abyss. 3.5 patch abyss was harder on hyperbloom as cryo shield first half and wenut 2nd half where you cannot react dendro off its anemo orbs. I still did it though but it was one of my tougher teams on wenut.

I use both so heres my 0.02 dollars:
-raiden: easier to stack em on bc dragon's bane has higher em than, say, iron sting or the umbrella sword. Her e actually has a big range, not to mention has really long up time so you don't have to be close to enemies to proc it. But you have to use na anyways bc of xq's burst and to proc e and i use nahida to na and her range is kinda short so 😑.
-kuki: I feel like her kit is made for hyperbloom bc it really benefit from stacking em (her healing is based on her hp and em). You have to be in close range and be more aware of where the seeds are. But what she lacks in range she makes up for with her healing ability. I think her cons makes her e's range and duration longer but I have her at c0 and she works pretty well. The best thing about her is that I can free Raiden and put her in the other team for abyss 😂.
The damage should be the same if you have equal amt of em. Hyperbloom (or any bloom dmg) caps at 2 instances of dmg per 0.5 secs so even if Raiden can burst a lot of cores at once, it doesn't really matter 😂

I think both have their uses. Kuki has heals, but you need to be fairly close the dendro core to activate it. Raiden's skill has good range but like others said, it will not activate if the enemy has shields. I don't have Raiden, but I'll definitely pull for her on her rerun just because I could snipe enemies with Nahida. 😆

You can compare both teams dmg maybe, if you freeze at the right moment, or indicate what strengths does each character have, like most comments I've read.
But, since I haven't seen any comment about it, I will say it:
You can't compare time, unless you have 100% crit rate, specially on Xinqiu and Yelan whose attacks are far more than Raiden or Nahida's, I know this is a world boss and it dies easily so time doesn't matter at all, this is going to get interesting on bigger enemies and also be more accurate, even if you don't kill the boss with one team, you could just make, idk, 15 seconds of dmg or until first cd ends and you can't do hyperbloom (probably Xinqiu and Yelan ultimate first). Hope someday you could play a big hp boss.
    Good video.

Kuki is better because you can go to the dendro cores to trigger it (before enemy does). And against scattered enemies, dendro cores are everywhere so you need to move around. While Raiden you have to pray it will hit dendro cores before its gone. The only advantage Raiden has is the access to Dragon's Bane which has higher EM than any sword, even Freedom Sworn. If you want to maximize damage instead of healing, go for her.

I recently changed to using Nahida, Yelan, Raiden and Noelle as the attacker when i was having trouble with the rift hound a couple abysses ago. Replaces, Kukis healing, adds shield, procs yelans attacks, has massive aoe to proc raiden and nahida attacks on every enemy in a large area. Really cozy variant of this team, if not the absolute most dps for single target.

Keep in mind that both characters can be used in different scenarios, for example in this last abyss against the Wenut, it's better to use Kuki because Raiden could miss some of the blooms thanks to how it hits Wenut, and because Wenut doesn't really hit you, you don't have a problem with getting close to him, so yeah. It just depends, but in terms of uptime and effectiveness Raiden is better the majority of the time.

My opinion, Kuki is better but only by a bit. One thing i noticed while using Raiden as electro trigger (which was a thing a very long time ago too) is that you need to do dmg to the enemy for Raiden's E to proc (so in short, same mechanics as Beidou's Ult which is a coordinated atk when you deal damage.)
THIS, MEANS, that on floor 12 of abyss (abyss from 3.5) RAIDEN IS QUITE BAD FOR DEALING WITH THE ABYSS HERALDS. Mainly coz, im skill issue coz i lose stamina very fast from dodging all the attacks and im not fast enough 💀. Butalso because Hyperbloom is still dendro, therefore if you trigger hyperbloom you can technically destroy their shields a bit faster.
That's a "my experience" tho, and about uptime, although you need cons C2 Kuki already fixes that immediately. Sooo if you have c2+ Kuki, i suggest make her your Hyperbloom DPS instead of Raiden.

And yes, raiden can proc hyperbloom at a distance, but realistic you are not that far away from the enemy on a hyperbloom team, since both yelan and xingqiu are melee characters anyway. Not only that, but kuki heals, and I wouldn't be happy using THE RAIDEN SHOUGUN to be just a hyperbloom bot.

    Raiden’s advantages and disadvantages:
    1. Easily target flying enemies/bosses and enemies far away
2.Skill buffs all party member’s bursts, making hyperbloom with Xingqiu and/or Yelan even more powerful
    3. Skill lasts 25 sec
    4. Constellations have no impact on how much dmg she does in hyperbloom
    5. Dragon’s bane provides a very high amount of EM
    6. Can’t heal, so Kokomi, Barbara, or Yao Yao have to do the healing
    Kuki’s advantages and disadvantages:
    1. Skill lasts 15 sec with C2, making her healing & electro application have 100% uptime
    2. Can heal very consistently, no Kokomi needed
    3. C6 gives her extra EM for 15 sec if her hp is 25% or lower (once every 60 sec)
    4. Is 4 star rarity making it easier to obtain a copy of her, although getting her C6 is just as hard as getting a copy of Raiden C0
    5. Close range & cannot target flying enemies/bosses as easily as Raiden can
    6. Skill does not buff all party members unless you have limited 5 star weapons like Nilou’s weapon or Kazuha’s weapon
What do you think? Personally, I prefer to pair Raiden with Nahida in hyperbloom, and I use Kuki with Alhaithem in quicken/aggravate since melee characters need to get very close to the enemy

I have to say, as a low ar player (ar 40) nahida + kuki is the best combo I’ve had. Highly recommend to anyone
Most damage I’ve done with it is around 15k in one hit, but again keep in mind both aren’t built and I’m ar 40

Add a little water and you'll get even more.
But actually at 40AR you can play as you want it will work anyway. Just have fun.

That team comp overly favor Kuki because it doesn't have a healer and it requires the on field driver to attack in order to trigger Raiden Shogun's skill. Try Nahida + Kokomi + Kazuha + Raiden Shogun instead. This will always be the best Hyperbloom team because it is suitable for all situation. That includes mob fight, boss fight, and overworld exploration. Whereas Nahida/Yelan/Xingqui/Kuki is mainly single target and is meant for boss killing.

Raiden activates hyperbloom more frequently and buffs both XQ's and Yelan's ulties and doesn't require to be close to the enemy, has excellent uptime and a little bit more EM thanks to Dragons bane. But Kuki provide survivability via healing and is 4* not constellation dependent character and doesn't require hits to proc

raiden's rotation is different, you have to use his elemental at the start. With that there will be a clearer difference.

Raiden is situational, she doesnt proc hyperbloom on enemies with hydroshields(her passive doesnt proc till the shield is broken). But kuki does, irregardless if they have a shield or not.

    My Ultra lazy team:
    Raiden - E
Nahida - E (sometimes I use burst also)
    Zhongli - E
    Ayato - Burst
Kazuha/Sucrose replace Zhongli if I feel like it
    Walk and profit

To me at least the fact is that Kuki is mostly useless in any other scenario while Raiden have many other teams that can take advantage of her DPS role. Going for Kuki for hyperbloom is a no brainer.
