anna moffo was awesome as lucia. her lucia was heartbreakingly beautiful. lucia and edgardo really made me believe they both were in agony and despair and they've both wound up dying of a badly broken heart but i can take comfort in knowing that they're together forever in heaven with nothing standing in their way.

Anna Moffo's Lucia is wonderful in this video. Her voice was still in fine shape, far better than in the later film made in the 1970s. Everybody raves about Callas' Lucia, but her voice was too dark for this role and her acting was over the top. Moffo is far more effective in this role overall.
