I reach for grungy colors a lot. I love chocolate with a rich denim blue together as a shadow look. Fire red with a brilliant yellow and a fiery orange for a fall look with a chocolate outer corner and a dark brown mascara is gorgeous for me. Greens and oranges are gorgeous too. I just love color. I'm not a fan of the muted browns that come in every palette on earth that is mainstream. LOL! Overall, I think our looks are similar in color combos and that eye look you have on now in this video is amazing. I love it!
I’m with you on the single shadows versus palette. I can’t choose! I love them both! My first single shadow experience was Makeup Geek. When I started watching RUclips makeup videos when I could actually afford makeup lol my first channel was Marlena of Makeup Geek. I saw a beautiful red purple look on her website so my first order were those shadows (Bitten, Burlesque, White Lies). I also got the turquoise Poolside and Shimmermint. I didn’t even have a Z palette so I just used them and put them back in their little sleeves 😂. I didn’t get neutrals until I started watching Jaclyn Hill and then I had to have ALL the MAC neutral shadows and Makeup Geek neutrals. Still have all those shadows today. I did t get back into colorful looks until I found YOUR channel! ❤️💙💚🧡💜💖

I know what kinds of colors I want to have, I just need some good recommendations for shadows that perform well.
This is a neat tag! And I think you're one of the best YTers to answer these questions because of your passion for all sorts of colors. I can think of a few other people I'm subscribed to that would be showing off a plethora of beige, champagne, and taupe singles, haha. I made my own 24-pan palette of ColourPop singles and it's sometimes hard to use my non-DIY palettes because of how much I adore all of the green, blue, purple, and pink I put into my custom one! Singles let you skip the shades you don't care about (ahem, neutrals) and only include the gorgeous ones that make you feel all fuzzy inside.
It always suprises me how new your singles are! I bought my first singles (inglot) like 8 years ago or maybe 9 years ago and most of my inglot singles I bought 6 years ago (when visiting poland), their formula hasn't changed. You have collected so beautiful shades!

I am still confused with coloured raine's approach with the vivid pigments. They aren't the brightest of shimmers, but Sydney Grace has, Hidden Treasure, Mystery, Blue Mist, Green Mist, Pink Mist, and Red Mist. They are duo-chromes in 26mm pans with a sheer base. A full on orange option is missing, and I have never seen yellow done this way. They used to have a sheer based with and orange shine highlighter, but not as a shadow.
Yellow & orange metallic/foiled shadows was exactly the gap I was feeling recently and I’ve got some on order from Terra Moon Cosmetics (Lemon Drop & Hurricane from her recent neon, summery collection). I also have my eye on Glaminatrix Lemonade & Soda Pop 🤓
I jumped on the single shadow craze with MUG as well. I bought $100 worth of them all at once when I got my first Z pallette. Single shadow pans are still very much "my thing". I do prefer them over premade palettes still. In the end I save money with them and I am a control freak.

I think Amy Loves Makeup had a pretty recent video where she recommended Kristen Leigh Cosmetics highlughters. You can choose the pan size on them yourself, so you could pick 26 mm pan, if I remember correctly. I checked their website and those highlighters looked really pretty :)

The ‘mist’ shades from Sydney Grace are small pans of duochromes and she also has a bright yellow metallic (lemonade) and I believe an orange as well (it could be called orange crush?)! Also lick it slam it suck it from looxi is a bright yellow foil!
Devinah shadows were my first singles purchase, because you love them so much lol. Can I ask what primer you use with them though? I can't get them to blend very well lol💙
Oh I must say I havnt had any issues with any of the primers. How are you using them? If it's more colorful shades (like not brown/warm neutrals etc) make sure to not use a too fluffy brush and more pack em on. That works the best with every colorful shade I own :)

Hi Angelica! There is a pallete from essence that is exactly what you are looking for! It's full of white based shadows with a duochrome flip. And I think there are nine different shadows in there. I will look for how the palette is called and comment the name as well!
It's called "Never give up your daydream" eyeshadow palette. I know you don't have essence in Sweeden but I'm sure that there is denish or german eshop that ships essence if not worldwide, at least in Europe.

I like singles better than palettes as well. So far the quality is just better. A good example is my Jackie Aina x Anastasia palette vs My Anastasia singles. My Anastasia singles are much better, Idk what it is, they are just more pigmented, they pick up easier on a brush, and they are more opaque.

Give Me Glow foils are AMAZING and MUST HAVES...some mattes are chalky but very pigmented. They have an amazing yellow foil.

LaceyAlexa hamsters&cats I use the Milani primer and I have had good luck with that.

For duochrome/multichrome singles with a transparent base please try the new clionadh ones, the iridescent!

I like singles better than palettes as well. So far the quality is just better. A good example is my Jackie Aina x Anastasia palette vs My Anastasia singles. My Anastasia singles are much better, Idk what it is, they are just more pigmented, they pick up easier on a brush, and they are more opaque.
