Such an underrated band, but it's great to see them still going strong and just as good as they ever were. Can tell it's an older crowd too: No stupid flags and not everyone filming on their smartphones, but enjoying the moment instead. Shame I can only hit the "like" button once.
F'kin loved your comment about smartphones Tiz. Q - "What was the gig like then?" A - "I dunno, I was busy filming a dimly-lit, shaky and heavily-distorted version of it rather than actually taking-in the experience." Drives me nuts.
It's so startling a Discovery to see old people singing along to shed7 to realise I am one of those old people and young people now can't possibly fathom or see this feeling coming until it happens to them too in 20 years. It's impossible to explain
TheManorBeast it’s fantastic to so many young people loving the Sheds. Last gig I was at, there were 8 year olds at the front loving it and singing along! Being old myself, it’s fab to see x
Saw these guys at my Freshers gig at Uni (Caledonian University, Glasgow - Asylum Student Union), 1995... maybe 6... from memory. It was lucky if there were 250-300 folk in the room. Awesome memory. :o)
Their new album “ another night,..Another town”. Full live album is absolutely fantastic. I just downloaded it on iTunes and it’s bloody brilliant 🤩💯👌👍👍
Incredible set, just keep getting better and better (pun intended). Glad this was broadcast so more people can see it. Loving the brass. Keep making great music, lads.
Takes me back to playing pool in some pub, and one of my friends said I always put the same 3 songs on the jukebox, chasing rainbows, then pretty vacant, and paranoid.... Peace
so underrated, not quite cool enough for the NME workshy fops of the 90's to get fully behind, but always popular with the punters who can see beyond all that muso pompous twaddle....some stupendous songs
Seen em a few times over the years & they,re always class, brilliant band & timeless classics, didnt realise ant from ant & dec played drums for em now ;)
Supremo guitaring by Paul Banks. An inspiration to other players, even if he himself thinks that some of what he's playing is cliché. All music is by degrees. Perhaps Paul wanted to be high art, who knows, but you can't have your cake and eat it. Awsome sounding mix here and some banging anthems. Really great full visual and audio legacy for the band.. I'd bag this one as a keeper for when you're too old to play and smell of cabbage.
Shed 7 are the only band of the era I could really get into. apart from the verve, but I'm more into ashcroft than the verve though... oasis, blur, pulp etc never did anything for me.
Shed 7 are an enigma. On the one hand they sound pretty good, then you think about it all and they quickly strike you as being pretty corny. A guilty pleasure maybe?
A truly great band.... saw em live at my freshers' Ball in 96 right on the back of the Maximum High album.... Rick cudda whipped this crowd into a frenzy by interacting more with them........ talking to them, getting them to join in at certain parts of songs etc... but he didn't...... He just "expected" the crowd to go wild which is deluded. That was the difference between an OK gig and what cudda been a legendary gig.............. Shame.
Decent live act but relegated to second division status behind Oasis, Suede, Blur, Pulp, Supergrass, etc...some good singles but unfortunately their albums were highly inconsistent
I’ll be honest - I’ve seen all those bands you’ve mentioned numerous times over the years (including at the peak of their careers) and Shed 7 surpass a few of them when it comes to live performances. Unfairly disregarded by the critics in my opinion
They drew a HUGE crowd but they remained static because Rick refused to involve them in the gig...... Very little crowd-participation between them and the band........ Shame really cos they had enough hits to get the crowd whipped up.... Rick just never had that inclination..... I guess he felt that kinda thing was ll a bit cheesy...... What a shame
I don't think he was static at all. When you get older you just more relaxed and most of time not getting off your nut in the early days. But he wasn't at all static and to be honest he was the usual ric witter.
Most underrated band ever
You take any music lover to a Sheds gig, they’ll be a fan forever after!
Yep
I have seen Live. One of the best i ve ever seen
Most overused comment on YT.!😂
Bollocks they're shit. Fact!
Such an underrated band, but it's great to see them still going strong and just as good as they ever were. Can tell it's an older crowd too: No stupid flags and not everyone filming on their smartphones, but enjoying the moment instead. Shame I can only hit the "like" button once.
Are they underrated though? Fan base is massive
@@ceceanne4388 This ^ I've never regarded Shed seven as underrated.
Life during wartu
F'kin loved your comment about smartphones Tiz.
Q - "What was the gig like then?"
A - "I dunno, I was busy filming a dimly-lit, shaky and heavily-distorted version of it rather than actually taking-in the experience."
Drives me nuts.
Flags were a very 90s thing, usually the Welsh too. Not a modern thing...
It's so startling a Discovery to see old people singing along to shed7 to realise I am one of those old people and young people now can't possibly fathom or see this feeling coming until it happens to them too in 20 years. It's impossible to explain

This was when I realised I had been missing one of the greats for all those years. I genuinely will put this as my best T moment.
Going for Gold is just preciously perfect 😀
“ Dolphin “ is the Grooviest Rock thing I’ve heard this year so far and goes straight into my favourite top 100 songs of all time pop pickers ❤️🍄
It's the bongos I think. Straight Manchester scene vibe.
Saw these guys at my Freshers gig at Uni (Caledonian University, Glasgow - Asylum Student Union), 1995... maybe 6... from memory. It was lucky if there were 250-300 folk in the room. Awesome memory. :o)
Brian McHugh I did too!! 95/96 I think!!!!!
Why does nobody mention shed seven in the greatest British 90s list. One of the best..great songs ..great gig..

Saw Shed Seven in the 1990s at The Fleece, Bristol. Most excellent gig indeed.
Incredible set, just keep getting better and better (pun intended). Glad this was broadcast so more people can see it. Loving the brass. Keep making great music, lads.

A great watch. I was rocking as much as the trombonist.
They are from York, where I live. Seeing them in July at the York Museum Gardens, they look great!
I love the 90s but shed seven

The singer has a fine voice.

Muito, muito bom mesmo! Shed 7!
I never understood how these were never compared to blur etc the live show was easily as good
Blur are a mix of genres. Shed are pure indie.
Love shed 7
so underrated, not quite cool enough for the NME workshy fops of the 90's to get fully behind, but always popular with the punters who can see beyond all that muso pompous twaddle....some stupendous songs

Sometimes this band sound fucking magical.
Tape single .. 1995 - left me on a Friday - when weekends mattered.. hehe

Gotta see these.. You can see why Oasis felt threatened back in the day....👍🎸
Hopefully a Shedcember tour in 2021 🤞
Yeah there is👍
That's honestly not a bad set 👌
31.27 paul banks saying slow down lol
Pls come to singapore Shed Seven please 🙏🙏🙏
British Indie lad all the way! Adidas trainers, Clarks desert boots, Fred Perry, etc etc. Love it!
Nah their fans started when it was fine to wear anything
A brass section can either make or break you. Shame as the sheds were sounding great.
Agreed. I think it is just the trumpet that is off but it's noticeable. An amazing set by the band though.
Love this band, always played Norwich. Banks looks well mean but he is a fucking gent
my dad taught the guitarist his first chord and was in the band but went to rehab before they got seen and sighned:(
Some things are worth more than music.
faaaaacccking c'maaaaaaaaaaan!
Was that Johnny Vegas slipping his shades on???? ☺️😁 😁 🤣
Very underrated band. Got a good fan base but should have a lot bigger than they were. Or should they stay just perfectly shed7
I think that drummer needs to put his cymbals abit higher , needs full arm extension 😆😆😆😆
mantapppp!!!!!
Ahmad Irwan wow
Should have been bigger than Oasis. Best British band in Brit pop area In my opinion. Cast 2nd, Oasis 3rd.
Played Going For Gold too early, apart from that, perfect.
rad
Shame they don’t do T anymore either… wicked festy
The lost it's way 90's. Can I get a nod to suede? Bring on Oasis....
No fucking likes?
Dont make me laugh you tube!
Underated band or not, who cares.. They were one of the best indie band in singapore in the 90s… Love em
peeked too early.should have been up there with oasis with better songs
They were up there with oasis
fuking mint
Shed 7 are the only band of the era I could really get into. apart from the verve, but I'm more into ashcroft than the verve though... oasis, blur, pulp etc never did anything for me.

Howard Send they are incredible live.
Shame.
He knew his fans were pre 96
Aye old heads would know a bit of crowd sing back. In time.
Standby
The brass are ruining a great song
Decent live act but relegated to second division status behind Oasis, Suede, Blur, Pulp, Supergrass, etc...some good singles but unfortunately their albums were highly inconsistent

The albums were all a bit patchy but those singles were fantastic 👌
