Hailie: what is great is at Harbor Freight they sell the Ghost predator 212cc race kart engine now for under 300.00 which means if you kill the engine you can buy spares very economically. They also offer an accessory kit with a pipe, fuel pump, spare head gaskets etc for that engine. I have one and it is super reliable. Have fun you guys! BTW I don't like the laid back seats either, maybe they are helpful on super long tracks where the speed is everything but on your new track you can sit up no problem. I cannot believe how amazing it would be to have your own go-kart oval right there in front of your house. Wouldn't happen here in Costa Mesa Ca. that's for sure. They did let us race our caged dirt karts on the speedway track when there was speedway bikes on sat nights at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The track was "DG" (decomposed granite) and we flew around sideways with our inside front wheel 5" in the air. We put so much stagger on the rear axle: super big diameter tire on the outside with alot of air, and a smaller diameter tire on the inside rear with much lower air. We beat on each other and the crowd loved it. I raced there for two years! Great fun for sure! Hailie please have everyone where helmets / neck brace collars even when testing when you guys are in those karts....make it mandatory for everyone. We want you guys around forever making content for us. Ha!
The go karts look absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see the track when it is done.
Those animal and formula motors are damn near bulletproof. Super easy to work on and get parts for. So much fun modding them out and running them on nice dirt. Mine does about 50 on pavement.
The Yard Kart Nationals series races once a month just south of Indianapolis and averages 30-40 karts every race if you're ever up for some of the best backyard racing. You can check out the races on Monday Moto's RUclips channel.
My dad use to race go-karts like those. You guys will have an awesome time racing those.
I passed on a sxs payment. Instead I build karts and race them on my property with friends and family. We run rigid yard karts, full suspension karts and mini bikes. Track is a Bobby pin shaped with some sloping. Grass and hardpack. We have a blast!
Thank y'all so much for doing karts. I'm sure a lot of your fans race them. Love the no front body work look. Wish everyone would run them like that at the smaller tracks.

We ran Shadow race Karts in the Virginia Dirt Kart Association and it was a blast. State race would have about a 20 kart field per class. Margarettsville and Captial City were my two favorite tracks. Some of the best years of my life. I was 8-15 than and now I'm 33. Definitely should get back into it one day.

Born and raised here right outside Charlotte city limits and I'll definitely agree are weather is definitely like no other. It's hot and sticky in summer and don't rain much then it rains and storms all winter and it can go 80 degrees one day and snow the next day. 🙃 I had a race cart when I was younger they fly

If y’all think those karts are crazy y’all should come check out the UAS karts. Y’all would be right at home, karts with 125cc all the way to 500cc GM Jawa’s. I run a TRX 450 🤙
The best dirt tracks are ones with high banking and long straightaways. you built the perfect dirt track
Short tracks like the one just outside of Elizabeth City, NC are more fun to race on.

Chase.. please do the channel a favor and take her down to "THE BIG O' Memorial open modified race down in Blacksburg SC at the beginning of August. I've raced karts most of my life and this is hands down the most exciting kart race anyone will ever see.

Not sure what tire you are going to run on your karts, but Cobra tires are awesome on asphalt. That is the tire we run at Kingsport Kartway. They are VERY affordable as well.

I use to race these kinds of carts. We def did some work to the motors though. Ran off alcohol. Raced on dirt. Was a lot of fun.

Your going to have fun. I have a 10th mile flat track for are go karts. 52mph and just tap the brakes going into the corners and away you go.
Fun fact: most nascar drivers struggle in karting due to the fact that even the slightest bump affects it so much, and that of the lack of power steering makes them struggle even more in the longer races. I’m interested to see how Hailie does, also it’s so cool to see some light shed on the Karting community

When you load them in the trailer drain the gas and stand them up on the wall. You can buy a setup for your trailer to stand them up. Save room

@@nataliedecker6827 yea no problem. I racwd karts back in the early 2000's and we had a small trailer but 4 karts so that was the best way to load them. We made our own little setup to mount them

These karts are very popular in Pennsylvania they run them Friday nights on dirt. The only thing different between them and yours is they have to have a front nose.

Buy some Hoosier dirt tires for them and race them on dirt then you can switch back to slicks when you race on pavement I race go karts on a dirt oval and it is so fun

Go karts are fun me and my friend rebiult an 1980 one nothing like those with a preditor 212cc motor just hard finding 4 lug wheels and tires for it we also drive ours down the streets it does like 35 mph....
Where will yall be running the karts? Im in NC and also have a couple. Would be cool to come race with yall...
