Good luck with this new toy. No doubt you will get the wiring sorted and simplified. I used to have trouble with clutch cables on my MK2 and got an extra long one made to keep it away from the exhaust. I dont know how hard it would be to go hydraulic. Lots of messing about and expense probably. At least there is a lot of good stuff for Fords off the shelf. Rally Design in Kent have a decent reputation and wide range of stuff.
Thanks for the advice, i found a spare clutch cable alongside the navigators seat so there must be some history. the clutch cable has a heat sleeve over it so hopefully that should help. Hydraulic is the way to go but i want to use the car as it is before i plan any changes to it
Yes the 60g is more refined and lighter but I presume the 15g is much stronger. Yes I have the geartronics flat shift on both boxes and it transforms them
Love the in depth vids of getting these cars prepped. Keep them coming. Nice car
Thank you, the wiring on this car will keep me busy plus i still have the other cars to do
6:40 The wire for the fuel pump is The Red One!! LOL.
That could be the fuel pump wire as it might be 30m long ;)
The original ‘Jag’ can’t believe Hanni sold it TBH. Does he still have that truck of his ? Love to see an episode on that
Love the video great in depth detail you need some split conduit to tidy those wiring up
Thank you. The more i think about the wiring the more i feel i need to pull everything out and try to simplify it
I have done mine but still have more to do

Iam looking forward to your comparisson between the mk2 and the e36 compact in terms of drivabilty. Would be great to see / hear a statement from you
yes i am really interested in how it compares to the bmw. i will hopefully have a post rally video
Have you thought about buying a compact? They're brilliant!
The 60g shift sounds a lot less clunky than the 15g. Can you use the flat shift ecu on both?
