Is the tape just to give you a visual clue it is empty, or am I missing some other purpose?

My husband used to be a painter so he told me to do it 😂 I think it’s for visuals and also maybe helps keep dust and sawdust and whatever else out if you’re doing work before selling

On another thought, I looked at the website on your kitchen video for glass and ceramics. But what about metal? Like I've got a metal measuring cup.

I think you’d definitely have to research this for yourself. I personally never worry about stainless steel and I definitely don’t worry about measuring cups if I’m using cold liquids especially. I think it totally depends on the metal or the quality of metal but I am NOT an expert. If you find any good sources let me know. Especially since I have heavy metal poisoning. Stay away from tin and aluminum for sure though!
