it asks In order to access your device, we will need to run a D-Link Java application. If you see a Java popup window appear, please: 1.Check Always trust content from this publisher. 2.Click the Run button. ...but then nothing come up to click on - The Java Runtime Environment cannot be initialized. An error occurred while initializing the Java Runtime Environment, and we were unable to connect the device at this time. Please reload the page to try again.
Also note that you may need to use Safari to view the live camera stream. I am having problems with the Java Runtime Environment needed while using Chrome. Safari seems to be working much better.
Any tut on how to stream live to personal website for public viewing. Would love to set these up on some of my exotic animal enclosures for public viewing.
I have a Mac OS X 10.7.5. Camera is connected to router, is powered and liight is steady green. However, when running D-Link Camera Setup Utility I get to the First Select your camera page and NO camera is identified. Clickinh on Next button doesn't change anything. Any suggestions ??
at 5:05, which password and name did you use? i tried both my router password and username and the dlink user name and password i create but neither of them are allowing me to log in.
My mac won't pick up my camera, I've tried hooking both camera and computer to separate Ethernet cables and still nothing. Any suggestions. The tech support I emailed was no help.
Did they ever say how to get past the error message: This device cannot connect to the internet? Is it a setting in the router? I'm on OS X 10.9.1 and using an Airport Time Capsule. But it doesn't work on my other router either. What is the problem?
@chucky3K Okay... just figured it out. The tutorial video doesn't tell you that you need to enter the password for your network. (Ooops!) On that wireless set up page at the bottom under WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK SETTINGS, enter the password for the wireless router you are connecting to. Wait a few seconds. THEN unplug the ethernet, check that it still works. THEN move the camera. ALSO, to view live video in your browser you have to click JAVA on the "Live Video" page.
provide a link then...all i can find on that sorry excuse for a website is window based programs that will not open on macs. i think im going to return this product and go with a different brand. d link is not very user friendly
@chucky3K Unfortunately, I missed your post and it took me forever to figure this out and I was coming on to post what you already have. Thanks. And everyone, READ THE ABOVE COMMENT :-) Now if anyone finds a mac client to control the cam without accessing the internet, let me know.
