I am just a Patient doc , I do Not have to List you , you know better than me palpitations, depressive Symptoms plus embarassing Brain fog , High BP …. It is extremely unconfortable for 60% of us ladies …!!!I suppose Most doctor do Not Rely on Testing because as you Said each hour each day can change …. Apparently Symptoms which in most cases provoke suffering becane the most important thing and I honestly agree with this medical Point of view …Thanks for sharing your knowledge 🙏🏻
I had (among other issues) maddening insomnia end of last year. My obgyn did an ultrasound, said both my ovaries look done, checked my FSH which was high and told me I was in menopause. Got me on HRT and basically saved my life. But she says no need to test any other hormones because my symptoms are gone. My energy levels are still a bit low but I can sleep and my brainfog has lifted. So should I just leave it or should I insist? Thank you, dr. Blue-eyes 😊
This is why I get my own labs done through ownyourlabs or walkinlabs. I order what I want and take them to the dr and tell them I've been reading and learning and I want their input on them. I've been lucky in a way that my Dr's PA has been looking at mine and what I learned from Dr T and another online Dr has helped me sound like I know somewhat about what I'm talking about. I've basically walked in, told the PA my symptoms and here's my labs....I want Prometrium and the patch Estradiol. I had a follow up in 3 months (no issues) then I got my levels done again on my own. I told them I felt better but still had some lagging symptoms and need more plus my free T went down but my DHEA up. We started low dose cream T. I'll see the Dr in 3 months and I plan to do the whole panel again like Dt T suggests (I didn't do sex hormone binding globulin but I will before I see the Dr). My back up plan is calling Dr T because it's worth it to me to feel confident in my provider and if my Dr doesn't make me feel that way, then bye.
Hi Doc! I'm 63 and didn't think I had any bad menopause issues, until I started reading about what other women have been through. I recently ordered your book, Hormone Balance Bible, and am looking forward to reading it. My question for you is last January I had a smear test which showed me as HPV positive and having suspicious cells. I went for a colposcopy and was told my cervix was atrophied and they couldn't get a sample to test. I had an emergency cesarean, a uterine ablation and I'm post menopausal and those things also make it difficult to get a sample to test. I was prescribed estradiol pessaries for a year and then they will start over. What if after a year of waiting something bad is happening? Is this the right thing to do?
With the absence of vaginal bleeding should women using higher estradiol doses routinely get vaginal ultrasounds? My radioligist said the uterine lining will be thicker from HRT even if progesterone is used. Do you believe this? Hrt users cant be compared to non hrt user's for safe guidelines before biopsies are indicated.
Actually, I don't get my hormone information from radiologists. That is why I asked you. Just wanted to know if women on hrt need to get routine vaginal ultrasounds.
Morning coffee on a beautiful Saturday and binge-watching Dr. Tassone!
Me too😅

Well you can check levels to see if you have any other issues

And Cortisol too?
Does anyone know the 2024 study that is prompting all these male GYNs to promote awareness? Who did the study?
