I think the first impact on the chassis near the drivers side rear wheel was where all the impact hit and prevent it from rolling on the second bounce. Just my theory, you can see it touch that Boulder then the vehicle does a second bounce. It may be that because of it bottoming out it didn’t load the springs with enough rebound to let it roll over completely. That is terrifying though.
What's the two levers (looks like) behind the left rear tire, battery, fuel cutoffs? Are the mud flaps tethered to prevent them from being snagged by the tires?
Great drive you guys, unfortunately, the commentary totally out of sync on my system anyway. Scary moments... loss of control in a metal 2+ ton vehicle always a Bad feeling!
I'm convinced the only thing that stopped the GU from going over was the fact it didnt have a huge lift or massive tires. If the C.O.G was even an inch higher would have ended in disaster.
@@AlloffroadAu we rolled about 20 times and went end over ended about 5 times. We both walked away uninjured. Someone from the Raymond terrace 4x4 club has the footage. Unfortunately I never got a copy of it.
is there a easier track im thinking of heading out to watagans but dont have the kind of rig to do stuff like that. its a stock navara with all terrains
love the landrovers,, tough cars,, patrol are better but I seriously could own the grey landrover. next time you guys are winching try double line pull. much easier on the winch as it doubles the grunt,, just my 2 cents. loved the vid
Everyone knows about the "tear offs" that motocross riders use for their goggles, those little plastic strips they tear off to get an instantly clear set of goggles, free of mud. My wife and I joke about having them for undies as well. I think I would've needed a few undies tear offs if that were me in my Patrol...... jesus!
Ive driven zig zag and the video does not do the grade justice. Very steep hill and nothing beneath you. Had that patrol gone over, it would have kept going down the cliff with disastrous results and possibly a medivac rescue of the occupants. Take care out there people and drive within your limits and skill set. Don't always listen to a spotter unless you are 100% trusted in their ability and guidance.
+cjjeep5 yes it would have been a long way down, no point having a spotter if you don't listen to him but I'm also very selective who I choose as a spotter.
@@AlloffroadAu You are yelling at people with the same criticism throughout the whole video. I have a lot of respect for your videos and skills but Douglas is 100% right and I'm not sure why YT comments you is disagreeing with the you in the video lol.
it actually has a question mark in the headline. Patrol rolls on ZigZag? I'm glad it didn't roll as it would have been a long way down and probably would have caused some serious injury.
Hm if you watch our videos you will see that we crawl whatever you can crawl, unfortunately you can’t crawl everything and a little momentum on rock does not rip anything apart.
AWESOME.
THANK YOU.
This was GREAT.
YOU show your OBVIOUS GREAT EXPERIENCE/SKILL.
Thanks again.
My pleasure!
@@AlloffroadAu
MY pleasure!!!
Good to see some beginners getting out getting into it
Some serious and dangerous trail. That patrol was lucky. Nice video, thanks.
thank you mate
very very lucky looks like that big rock on the left hand rear wheel mite of helped it from slideing more
Wow that was close! You guys seemed to have a lot of fun that day. Great wheeling in the video.
thanks mate, yes it was a lot of fun but to be honest a bit to close for my liking..
Was driving home from the mountains yesterday and saw the 'CRP 01P' Land Rover. Made me want one.

Excellent footage
Another great vid.
What size lift and tyres does the patrol run. Also does it have front and rear lockers?
Cheers
+Miki Smider yes front and rear locker I think 2" lift and 33"
The rock next to the LHR wheel is what stopped it going over
What's the two levers (looks like) behind the left rear tire, battery, fuel cutoffs?

Battery points, yes mud flaps are on chains

Yes I agree
Good video love the defenders.
For better video, can you use a handhold radio instead of scream to a driver when. Spotting? Cheers
great vid. Thanks.
Thank you
If that was rated medium, I'd be happy on an easy one!
100% did greens break track on the weekend, was a lot tougher than medium! Good learning curve though
I was passenger in a shorty gq that rolled of the cliff in that exact spot about 15 years ago.
shit, I hope you where ok, how far did you roll down?

What rims are on the white defender??

heaps of chicken tracks on the killyloop.
That was sheer luck it didn't roll.
"wwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooooo" thats the sound of the Brown Note ;P
Need at least 285/75/16 on that stock Defender. It did very well without though.

wow so close to going over

The gu didn't even roll
that’s why it's written as a question "Did the Patrol roll?" It fortunately did not roll but we are still not sure what keep it from rolling
wow...tough crowd.
Holy Crap!
If he had gear on his roof rack, he would have been a goner.

Wow!!!!!
El conductor de la patrol aceleraba mucho por eso casi vuelca
Makes me cringe seeing guys stopping every 30cm, steady on the throttle when you hit resistance push further not back off
Hm seems we can learn a lot from you, you should drive with us one day and show us the ropes

AllOffroad 4x4 Adventures TV all good advice, I have done whitemans at night, not an easy track.
This guy yelling at everyone over and over. I would turn around and get as far away from him as possible. Please relax a bit.
One luck barsted
No rolling just a patrol on 3 wheels
So it didn’t roll wtf
nop fortunately not it would have been a long way down, hence the ? in the title
Hi
hello.
Sorry, but when you headline "Patrol rolls", it's gotta actually happen.
it actually has a question mark in the headline. Patrol rolls on ZigZag? I'm glad it didn't roll as it would have been a long way down and probably would have caused some serious injury.
Why don't you guys try to crawl it instead of destroying the track

Defying physical laws
yes he did, luckily
