@@slappintails After around 30 minutes of going back and forth around the breakwall, we managed to land it with the help of the locals going down and netting the fish. A longtail tuna that went 13kg took a 30 gram metal jig that intimates a garfish. I literally cast it out as far as I could and let it sink, and when I was about to work the lure, I was already on. This was the second one I've managed to get at this spot. My first one went 103cm on a metal spinner while casting at the bust ups it weighed between 10-12kg. There was also a 97 and a 95 caught on that same day.
That’s awesome bro I’m stoked for ya, that would have been such a good feeling to land it after a 30min battle haha spewing I didn’t stick around 😩 It was such a fishy day that day too haha. I haven’t managed to land one this season should still be some around tho that fresh water buggered up the season a bit. I’m gonna be chasing some Jew pretty hard over the next few months so finger crossed I can get one of the big models haha
