I was there this morning and interestingly enough most of the persons interviewed and I are friends. Even though I was there, I did not see most of the pieces in their entirety especially, "Crossings". I was just weeping away. To date, I cannot hear that song without hollering. Thanks to Marlon, Nicky DeGrasse, Kerry-Ann, the whole adminstrative team and dancers, the new costume attendant (R.I.P. Barbara Kauffman - you made sure my costumes as well as all actors and dancers were well maintained) for continuring the great legacy. I hope to see you all again, some time soon.
@@Mackie84 It is Quincy Jones/Letta Mbulu- Many Rains Ago (Oluwa). It is one of the tracks on Roots. You just made me cry again. Other than the memories created vis a vis the NDTC, Jamaica and Prof's transition, the piece feels so nostalgic and deep. You may also check the @JamaicaYouthChorale for their rendition of the same piece "Ise Oluwa (Many Rains Ago)".
Dr. Nettleford will always be remembered. I loved him then, and I love him now. Respect to the NDTC Dancers and Singers. Love tp Marjorie Wiley and Carl Bliss. Also Good luck to Barry Moncreiffe, the new Commander and Chief. I know he will continue the legacy.

Do you know the name of the last song and singer? It’s always been one of my favorite.
