Was it helpful for you to see how I plan my week and use my Hobonichi? Would you like to see more videos like this? What type of planner are you currently using (if any!)?
Sarra Cannon this is super helpful! I’ve been using a Hobonichi for a couple of years, but I recently changed jobs and my planning needs are totally different now. Like you, I basically use my daily pages like a bullet journal. When I was doing heavily appointment-based freelance work I absolutely lived by my weekly spreads to know where I needed to be and what time I needed to be there. Now that I work full-time from home, I’ve been trying to figure out how to best use my weeklies. You gave me a lot of great ideas!
I’m using a heavily modified passion planner. I’ve been eyeing the hobonichi for some time now, and your video was a great tutorial for how I could use it as well. Can you link where you purchased yours?
NJmamaplans Michelle Thank you for commenting!! I appreciate the suggestion and I would love to do a video like that!! I'll add it to my list of upcoming topics thank you!
Such a beautiful idea of using the weekend pages as such because just as you mentioned my days are pretty light on those days and I guess I can add it to the end of Friday if I need a reminder for those days...Thank you for this tip. Love my Hobonichis.
By the way would love to see more planning within your Hobonichi in the future. I am currently using my A6 as my everyday carry and then my A5 for things I may learn and want to remember by using the index system of the Bujo. The reason I bought the Cousin was the fact that I was running out of room within my A6 of the things I want to remember for that day. I wanted to try bujo again (Using the 1917) but I really love flipping through Hobonichi paper so much because it is so easy.
Love your layouts. I would like to see more, especially how you use the days. Always looking for new ideas on how to use the hobonichi. I’m new to this planner! Thank you!
Nancy Ducey Thank you, Nancy! I will definitely do a daily plan with me and some flip through videos coming up to show how I'm using the dailies. Thank you for the suggestion!
Dunno if you've heard about RTM = Remember the Milk. It's been great for me. I use it mostly in a web browser on my laptop but I also have the app on my iPad and on my phone and all three are always in sync. I still bullet journal for project planning but for tasks, todos, and appointments and assigning specific times to things, RTM is great.
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing so much. I saw A Boho Berry video about Bujo Time Log, where she says she uses ATracker on her iphone, looked pretty cool.
KatybirdsNest Thank you! I've been using one called aTimeLogger that's really good. The name is similar, which makes me wonder if this is the Android answer to the one you mentioned!
I think i heard that is an android answer. I have an iphone now, but plan to go back to android when my next phone purchase is necessary, glad to hear its working for you!
Thank you! No it's scrapbook paper that I cut to size and put on with a removable adhesive roller so I could easily switch it out if I wanted to later!
Judy Benjamin Thank you!! I'm from Georgia originally, but we now live I'm James Island!! We moved here last September, and I love it. I drive to North Charleston every Wednesday to meet up with local writers!
Christy Johnson I'm always tempted by the weeks!! I like the way the layout has a week on one side and an open page on the other. But I really like bigger pages, and I'm afraid the weeks might be too slim for me! Still, they are beautiful!
Heart Breathings I don't like big planners. I have an Erin Condren I never used. I have a5 chic sparrows but I don't like the size for planning especially since I'd have to take it to work with me. A6 stalogy has been my planner so far
Heart Breathings might be. I just got my b6 slim today and then just ordered the weeks. It'll arrive after April so I'm not sure what I'm going to do with that month

So glad this helped Amy! And I'm sure changing up jobs means needing a whole new planning system!!

Yes I'd love to see a whole flip though and explanation esp of how you relate the weekly, monthly, and daily pages together.

Love the combination of an Author + Planner which you offer! great content Sarra

BlushnBlue So glad that idea was useful! Do you use multiple Hobonichi's? I've considered getting the A6 for a journal, but I haven't decided!

I love using Toggl for time tracking, there's a phone app and you can access it in a browser.
I was going to suggest Toggl too. It's quick and easy and you can tag tasks to get a good overview of where your time goes
this is inspiring and helpful thanks~ btw what is the green retangle thing called ?
Great video! What did you use to cover your Hobonichi? Was it contact paper?
Thank you! No it's scrapbook paper that I cut to size and put on with a removable adhesive roller so I could easily switch it out if I wanted to later!
Love your style, just started in the Hobonichi cousin! Did you say your were from North Charleston?? I grew up in Waterboro! ! Now live in CO
Judy Benjamin Thank you!! I'm from Georgia originally, but we now live I'm James Island!! We moved here last September, and I love it. I drive to North Charleston every Wednesday to meet up with local writers!
Wow you are amazing
atimelogger is the best time tracking app I've used.
Great video!
Jacq Jolie Oh thank you! I'm going to check it out for sure. I appreciate the suggestion!

Re: Wattpad. Are you ever afraid that someone will steal your stories from there? How secure is it?
I'm this* close to ordering a hobonichi weeks! I think it's mostly I like the name lol
