      @MrMohammedAdyanRahmanCho-tt8mj will the way these trains couple together is by these things called couplers that sits underneath the Cora door connectors (gangways)

    If trains could have a marriage:

  • @trainspottingwithdanYT
    @trainspottingwithdanYT 6 месяцев назад +9

    its cool and all how they make it bend to the right position but why did the makers of this train think it was a great idea to make the gangway slanted instead of upright like a 158 or 156?

    • @supertrains156.66
      @supertrains156.66  6 месяцев назад +7

      So it is safer let’s go to history with class 318 there gangways are removed as it can make the cab overheat going at 55 mph same goes to class 455 from southern so class 380 has slanted gangways to not let the train cab overheat going at 90 mph but class 156 being built in 1987 has flat gangway as somehow it is not overheating

    can 380 units be coupled in passanger servoce without the gangways connected for whatever reason?

    • @supertrains156.66
      @supertrains156.66  4 месяца назад +1

      It is rare but nope the only time you mostly see it coupled with gangways opened is when it is arriving is at Glasgow Central from the depot
      So yes but not on passenger service

      The purpose of gangways is to allow passengers to head from 1 train to the other without needing to change trains on platforms
