- The Parol Evidence Rule has vexed law students for generations. In this ten-minute video, I attempt to make the seemingly complex doctrine clear through illustration of the concepts using some leftover Halloween candy.
Great video, thank you professor.
Does parol evidence mean oral evidence or document evidence or both?
Can we say, for example, "arbitration result is complete" is better than "arbitration result is final", according to parol evidence rule? Reasoning:
Something could be added to arbitration result if "arbitration result is final".
Nothing could be added to arbitration result if "arbitration result is complete".
Is the understanding correct? Thanks.
Parol evidence includes oral evidence and documents extrinsic to the contract's four corners (contract written on paper = that's where the four corners come from). Are you trying to add a merger clause?
@@jihyelee7140 Thank you very much. It's for my interest only as I managed international trade/ sales contract.
…the more complex the lawyer can make it…the more they can ensure their fkn payday…no wonder people hate them
