Oppo site said that it is plastic mad glass - pc and other type, for example for a96.
Doesn't know about this Oppo plastic or gorilla glass, but remember plastic phones, that have scratches but did not have crack as gorilla glass.
Gorilla glass could be cracked by damaging it's edges.
So there is pros and cons:
gorilla is scratch resistant, some types maybe crack resistant, but I do not know about edges of gorilla glass;
plastic does not scratch resistant, could have bad transparency, but doesn't crack.
But I always use additional glass for protection.
We presume you're talking about the back which you're saying that according to Oppo is "Plastic made glass.."
We'll make it easy for you, *itz either Plastic or Glass,* both are seperate materialz and a new material hasn't been invented yet! Hope it helpz *_?_*

I simply added some information, maybe some examples will help.
3D glasses can be damaged easier, because they have bigger edges, because they are curved (3D).
So I wanted to say - if you need scratch resistance and better display colours you need Gorilla glass;
If crack resistance then plastic.
But if manufacturer will shield Gorilla glass with build in silicon edges (or it would be case or additional glass) then you can make crack resistant Gorilla glass phone.
Phones with edges around screen:
Kyocera Duraforce Pro 2 (DuraSprot is without edges, like Caterpillar, Doogee, Blackview. Maybe others also have edges, I do not know about AGM).
But it is shockproof phones, another class. In ordinary class I do now examples, even FairPhone with 5 years warranty doesn't have edges around screen or shockproof case.

Under "Cover glasses" they write this:
for oppo f21 pro - GG5 (I think it is gorilla glass 5);
for oppo a96 - PC + PMMA board.
I don't know what oppo want to say in case with a96. PC + PMMA board can be: a) screen film that you can detach;
b) alternative to gorilla glass 5 (or like oppo writes GG5 abbreviated).
