  • Welcome to Barn Talk. Today we’re going to talk about our farming operation and the real secret weapon we have that makes it all run. There are damned few 400 acre grain farms out there that are able to run with the technology and equipment that we do. The reason for that is the man we have in the barn today. He’s the innovator, devastator and master mechanic of Tall Corn Acres. We are excited to welcome the man with the plan, David Zieser to Barn Talk! But first… Pay the fee!

As an European farmer, sometimes I think that the Eu parlament just don't want me to farm anything... Don't use herbicide (which is good and bad in the same time), use less fertilizer, but make the same or more. Then comes the concrete jungle Tarzan saying we should use the eyozolin. (staying at the edge of our field and thinking hard about getting rid of bugs, weeds, fungi, just by looking our crop) The main problem everywhere, that those who makes the laws and restrictions don't know how farming really works. They at max only learnt about it somewhere. Not to mention those many Tarzans who know way better how to do this farming thing, than actual farmers.

Im in the middle of a city.
I drive by green lawns and wide swaths of manicured land along culverts and woods.
The amount of unused private and public property, as far as growing food, is astounding.
Everyone complains, everyone fertilizes the flowers and the grass. Spray for ants and hornets.
Yet put zero dollars into feeding themselves, even a minute amount.

I have a question i’m a fifth generation farmer and I just took over the family farm the farm has been doing fine last 10 to 12 years barely scraping by some years my grandfather was running mostly equipment he got from his dad and has been content with running 140/150 acres a year he hasn’t done much in the way of modernizing it took a lot of convincing for him to get his first combine four years ago up till then we stored everything in Corncrib‘s and still picked with a two row harvester we have an ancient John Deere for Row planter and he was still planting 30 inch rows He plants nothing but corn and I was looking to branch out and other crops/modernize the farm on a budget what is the best way to do this and still be successful

Hey Gentlemen, currently a senior studying Agribusiness at the University of Georgia, I discovered you guys off Tik Tok and have been binge-watching your RUclips channel since. I had a question for the each of you that maybe could be a talking point for a little bit of the show.
Mr. Tork- What advice or guidance could you give to the young adults about to begin a career in Ag? What obstacles and what potential opportunities should we be aware of?
Sawyer- This one is a more fun one, in previous episodes, you mentioned you liked to have a good time, what were some crazy or funny stories (you feel comfortable sharing) from college you can elaborate on?

You know you're going to have to have a supply of salt and know what the hell you're doing to cure pork and other meat too and know how to dry fruit and preserves it and make some old fashioned cellars in the ground. There's an ass ton of work to do if the system comes down and the damn short time to get there

Sequestration of CO2 is an absolute hustle. If done correctly, it will improve the national emission numbers, temporarily. It's wealthy people stealing from poor people.

I like socialism, but you can't have a multicultural state and socialism at the same time. USA, today, is an absolutely unnatural patchwork of 200 different peoples.
I find it pretty hilarious that you, an american citizen, is pointing to China as an example of a country that subdues their people with "bread and circus".

Lol this comment got me, I moved from Philly to a tiny west Texas farming town, and the f word is just filler for me and I’ve had to put in serious work to stop doing that because all these nice people were getting offended and rubbed the wrong way simply for that which was never my intent
