Unpopular opinion amongst alumni I’m sure but the straight leg marching style already looks so much visually cleaner on the field. 👍

It feels so weird to see phantom march bent and scv march straight.
@@Dischingothis is because a lot of the SCV visual techs and the caption head went to Phantom in 2022
Seeing vanguard march straight leg is like seeing the cadets march with a left foot lead

A ton of our brass staff is from old crown lol
High brass sounds nice but I could hardly hear any low end in the circle
You may need to listen on different speakers/headphones. Listened in my car on the way to work thismorning and low brass is pretty prominent. Flomarching mics also aren't very good
Trust me our low brass line especially the tubas is really crazy
I stay away from, Flo marching and professional recordings. They screw up the low sounds. Usually the phone camera videos are fine

Brass staff are mostly from Crown and brought the pedagogy to SCV back in 2020
The original uniforms is what defined this incredible drum Corp. Us old timers miss their style.
The people actually marching hate the old timers complaining and think they should go to bed

The old timers that were around when you marched also missed the old fife and drum style corps they grew up with, what you did wasn't even remotely close to drum corps in their mind. You'll get over it, nothing stays the same for ever.
Nobody complaining about the uniforms is railing against the people marching, so perhaps you should grow up and realize that people having a different opinion than you isn't a personal attack on you.

What a horrible thing to say. This group of members didn't choose the uniform. There was a reason for it. These young people came here to be part of SCV. They aren't chasing a ring. they have worked hard to put a very strong corps on the field. We should compliment them and support them. It is their SCV now. As an original member of the corps 1967 thru 1972) I am proud of them and wish them continued success.
They came in 2nd Saturday night but the show is just not up to the top corps. A great start but I think they will place low at finals
