- Today we went to the village of Dzembronya, which is located far away in the Ukrainian mountains of the Carpathians. Here we visited an old Hutsul estate, which, already in the third generation, is owned by Maria Dmitronyak.

I am so happy that this wonderful woman is high in the mountains in Ukraine and hopefully safe I just love watching her prepare her food and when she started to sing although I didn't understand a word she was singing it didn't matter it just touched my heart I will continue to watch she is an inspiration❤️

This has to be one of the safest places in the Ukraine to be at this time - high in the beautiful remote mountains of Southwestern Ukraine, not too far from the Romanian border. No restaurants, no government infrastructure, or industrial operations. What a beautiful place - I hope it continues to not be disturbed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful life and home with us!

My grandmother also made cabbage rolls, but she did hers in a different way. She would put a layer of cabbage leaves on the bottom of the pot. She didn't use pickled cabbage, she would blanch one head of fresh cabbage in a pot of hot water and remove the leaves. She would roll a mixture of ground beef, diced onion and uncooked rice into whole cabbage leaves, not one half of a leaf as shown here. She would put all of the cabbage rolls in an enormous pot, and fill the pot with tomato juice. We ate them with rye bread and butter.
Hi, My home country is Poland but I live in Denmark . My granny's recipe is very similiar to yours. We eat cabbge rolls with boild potatoes and butter on the top. Greetings from Copenhagen 😀

People can continue their normal lives. However you will never hear that information in the media of your country, that would expose the real cause of the suffering of the people: the weapons and mercenaries sent and being sent by NATO, particularly the USA and the UK.

Nálunk töltöttkáposzta a neve az ételnek. A rizsbe darálthúst is teszünk bele, és ezzel töltjük meg a káposzta leveleket.
Látom, hogy az egész káposztát savanyítják le, és a torzsáját ledarálják. Mindent felhasználnak, nem pocsékolnak.

Costumele populare sunt din Bucovina și Maramureș, teritorii care au fost ocupate de CCCP in 1940 și anexate cu forța în urma pactului Ribbentrop-molotov și care au aparținut Regatului României. Populația este vorbitoare de limbă română dar ucrainizata deoarece autoritățile au interzis ziare, Radio, TV in limba romana. Casele sunt identice cu cele din nordul României, tradițiile culinare sunt identice. Ucraina ar trebui să aibă grijă de minorități dacă dorește respectul Occidentului.
Da, varza e puțin mai ne urata. Costumele sunt din Maramureșul istoric si ținutul Basarabiei de Nord.. Pana și construcțiile sunt la fel.. Noi mai punem la sarmale pe lângă sa fiarbă și costiță de porc afumate, oase de porc afumate, aici îs simple, mai punem șorici cruzi sau mai afumați. Here, in Romania, these are called "sarmale". From region to region they have small differences. But there is also another kind of "sarmale" wrapped in tender vine leaves and whose sauce is topped with borscht, and flavored with bay leaves, and others to taste.
What I liked about the lady is the fact that she had the patience to make them small.

It's known as Stuffed Cabbage in the US ,we use ground beef , rice in the wraps of cabbage with tomato sauce pour over and cooked!

That looks delicious! I remember my Mom having a grinder like that, when we came to the US from Austria. She used it to grind venison, and other meats that my Dad brought home from hunting, and made sausage, and other meat dishes to go with the vegetables from our garden, and she also made homemade bread and apple strudel from scratch. I have SO much respect for resourceful people that live good lives like this! ....Peace! 🎼❤

My mom had a grinder like that, too. She'd use it to make chopped liver, chopped fish to make gefilte fish, and various other things. It was so simple & homey & practical: I loved when she got that out & asked her many times if I could do this for her. Sometimes she agreed. Memories ....

I don't think it is stress free.She works very hard at home cannot, gardening ,cuts wood makes fire to cook with,takes care of her animals.i lived like this growing up in the 50's with 7brothers and 3 sisters pretty much the same life style as she is living still in the 2000's.

Я застала учителя военрука,Флория ПетровичаКречуняка.
Недавно смотрела видео про Гуцульщину,и узнала,что фамилия Кречуняк-гуцульская.
Это видео из Прикарпатья,скорее всего Яремче или Ворохта.Я узнаю по домам,одежде,вышивке.
Кучуров -одно из самых красивых сел нашего края.
Я родилась в другом районе ,но сердцу милее-Кучуров.
Приезжайте на Родину,у нас очень хорошо.Такие дома выстроены,что в Италии таких нет .

Kapusta kwaszona w całosci u nas rzadko.spotykana i używana na gołabki . Nasze bardziej mi smakują,. Ale nadzienie mięsne lub warzywne zawinięte w liscie kapusty , winogronowe czy inne - pomysł wykorzystywany na całym świecie . Tacy różni , a tacy podobni jesteśmy .
