@ColdVsIce i got an 08 eos with the 2.0 fsi engine. Has good torque in sport mode and im getting around 28 mpg if i drive normally. Only issue is my leaky roof
Rusty Shackleford well of course ur names cause ur names Russell i like it too even tho its gay as fuck or super douchey "my fav car I've driven honestly is a 1st gen Scion xB" too bad we never got the jdm Toyota bB Open Deck 2300lb awd 1.3l pickup based of it haha
I think it will always be a car that only certain people will like.if this car came stock like this then id agree with you.. cars with aftermarket parts dont hold value well
I love all the fancy cars and tuner cars on this channel but what gets me is the random cars that are stupid clean and stupid fast. Like this EOS is amazing. I would've never thought to modify a VW Eos
I'm surprised that the car just absorbed the upgrade. If I didn't buy my EOS for just over $5k I'd definitely think about spending $14k on this conversion
Triggered, my head almost exploded when he called a VR6 an V6 and the other guy explained why it was ok. Give me a couple of weeks and I might finally calm down. If he ever says that there is no such thing as a W engine I've had it.
People always ask what kind of car would you build if you had a million dollars, some go for the sexiest, others the fastest. Me? The sleepiest. I love this car.
Marcel invited our local car club (Vancouver R Club) to a private open house at HPA last week. Incredible operation, and the passion they have for what they do is so apparent in Marcel and his staff. I know where I'm going when my warranty is up, or when I decide "to heck with my warranty".
Incredibly cool build. And that VR6 note is still awesome. I got passed in my modest MK6 Golf GTI by a MK5 R32 the other day. The sound is just so much better, wow.
Love it when Matt giggles from the astonishing power of a vehicle. Good video, this guy from HPA is very knowledgeable about everything about this cars modification, love videos like this.
I have one, and no ... it does not suck ... point of fact, the VW EOS is the only car that has a folding convertible roof with a sliding glass sunroof, mine is the face lifted version with an options list as long as my arm.
This is probably the second-best choice for HPA sleeper status, just behind a 1st-gen New Beetle Convertible. This would be MUCH easier to live with though. Freakin' wonderful stuff!
4:25 Is that reasoning valid? Wouldn’t boost pressure be boost pressure regardless of the number of turbos? Twins would just be more responsive down low?
But then a 335i convertible will do almost the same performance with stock turbo's and overall another class of a car. But MAD RESPECT for the HPA crew, always the sickest builds.
I had the chance to see their R32 that had made it into Gran Turismo 5 a few years back. They gladly started it up and shot fire out of the exhaust for me to see.
I have a VR6 eos... custom ordered from the factory, have been thinking about doing something like this, never knew it existed... however: from what the cost is, the upgrade costs more than the vehicle is worth, how would you insure something like this?
@@heywoodjablome5630 I personally have one with a classic 140hp TDI, I wouldn't call it fast (depends on your standards) but there is a nice boost when the turbo kicks in... and with the torque of a diesel not a lot of cars can keep up when I go uphill. It's just a good little car... I know lots of people hate it... I've had it for over 10 years and really don't want to get rid of it.. I had 2 daughters and it was still fine, now I have 3 and everybody tells me to sell the damn car.... too many memories and I still enjoy it a lot... let the wifey upgrade to a bigger family hawler lol
Man this is the video I've been waiting to see. One if your best top 5 videos with you laughing and enjoying the car and drive like the defender video when you went up the mountain side. Thanks man I'm going to check out dudes website
They share the same platform and come from the same manufacturing plant in Portugal. Both cars' wheelbase are identical. So it probably wasn't that hard to fit it. They most likely grafted the front half of the Scirocco fenders to the back half of the Eos front fenders so that the body line on the doors would match up properly.
WOW great video. This is a great EOS performance show.. I dont own one, but a friend of ours does. I think the owner might have been scared in the beginning.. I would have been too! Short wheelbase, 500hp, wow!
It's doable tho, if you know someone who can cut and weld/spotweld. The spare tyre well needs to be cut partially to make the haldex fit 👍 Easiest path would be to get a complete donor and swap everything over. The rear floor is not much different from fwd to 4wd
I have the 2.0tfsi 200bhp. Not planning to do a engine swap but will be doing APR stage 4 but want the AWD system! He said he took it from an Audi TT right..
500 horsepower will just about fix anything. You always know it's going to be a good drive when Matt starts giggling like a little kid when he first steps on the gas. I wonder if he's ever had a run in with the highway patrol when driving cars up in the canyons?
He says that twins take half the boost than a single to make whatever horsepower you want but in my opinion at all comes down to head work, I've seen a rb26 swapped Datsun 240z making 800whp on 14-15 psi with an efr 8374, with massive amounts of head work, stroker crank and forged pistons. If the owner wants just a turbo kit than yea you'll make more power with twins than a single but if they're going to get a built motor and some head work than a single can make as much power as twins
Damn the front gives me instantly flashbacks to my own 2.0 TSI Scirocco (since this Eos got the Rocco front bumper), which is rare to see since Scirocco's aren't sold in the USA would love to see one on your show Matt. I have some pics here imgur.com/a/XEZ1Y
I have a stock eos, easily one of the most enjoyable cars ive ever driven
I agree, atleast for a stock convertible. It actually ranks pretty close to my mk1 cabrio in smiles per mile.
I recently got a R32 V6 EOS. It's a joy to ride. Even when stock.
@@Caliber632how fast are they? I like them

500WHP AWD VW-group convertible? It's basically an R8 spyder
xThe0gge but it sleeps
the EOS is far from a R8 spyder. it has more similarities with a new golf/bora/passat
xThe0gge *an R8, AN not A, didn't you learn grammar? A elephant, an elephant.
2 seats vs 4 seats.
xThe0gge All Wheel Prancing
This is the type of car that will age like a fine wine in that it’ll become one of the most interesting things to see 25 years down the road.
Nah.. the eos is a piece of shit :D

RCXDerp lightweight tons of room good gas mileage just useless on the highway with a whopping 108hp n toaster shape
Ah, much like the coveted Geo Metro convertible. I can see it now.
HPA cars make the best one takes. The shear joy on Matt's face driving these cars is unmatched.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The hairdresser down the road got on coke, hooked up with a car nut and ended up with this? Dope.
yes, he wants to feel the wind blowing through his hair.
I love all the fancy cars and tuner cars on this channel but what gets me is the random cars that are stupid clean and stupid fast. Like this EOS is amazing. I would've never thought to modify a VW Eos
VW Eos is a good looking car for sure.
I'm surprised that the car just absorbed the upgrade. If I didn't buy my EOS for just over $5k I'd definitely think about spending $14k on this conversion
500 HP Eos? The sleepiest of slepers
Ian Johnson I know you want to edit that spelling error, don’t, keep it og
It's so sleepy, it might actually be napping.
Triggered, my head almost exploded when he called a VR6 an V6 and the other guy explained why it was ok. Give me a couple of weeks and I might finally calm down. If he ever says that there is no such thing as a W engine I've had it.
He's so sleepy he's tired;)..., maybe even exhausted;)..... I'll show myself out
It is a V6 but only has one cylinder head. Clam down sweet cheeks :)
HPA are on another level.
shaft9000 I like hpa shit.
Didnt they make that audi tt with 800hp? Was also in gran turismo 6 i believe
People always ask what kind of car would you build if you had a million dollars, some go for the sexiest, others the fastest. Me? The sleepiest. I love this car.
It doesn’t look like a sleeper to most people, these days, two doors and a coupe shape means a fast car to most

I kinda want one now 🤔
They are really nice when you see them up close my brother has one I liked it the 1st time I saw it.
But it won't be like this one.
You know you do Sarah! Lol

Awesome video and HPA seems like a good tuner outfit. He seems more of a straight shooter than most. And your enthusiasm is infectious.
Seeing a standard version of the Eos makes me sleep but this modified one makes me drool. Fantastic car!
Amazing idea, really cool car.
VW should have made things like that from the factory (maybe with 310 HP)
Now all I have to do is convince the wife to do this conversion on her Eos.
@ 5:28 Matt is just grinning like he know the best kept secret. That thing jumps when the boost kicks in!! LOL!!
I just picked up an 09 EOS. Would like to tune it, not to this extreme though. This is incredible!
I recently got a 2010 and I love it. It’s stock and it’s my first turbo car and it’s such a fun drive
I respect TheSmokingTire and Matt for sticking with reviewing obtainable cars usually lightly modified.
underballbutter 14k in parts + 50 hrs labor probably isn't everyone's definition of lightly modded
ziomorph Pretty sure the OP is being sarcastic man.
haha yea i don't know why i took that at face value lol
Can't wait to see the two Golf's sitting there in the background. The graphics scream Big HP !
4:25 Is that reasoning valid? Wouldn’t boost pressure be boost pressure regardless of the number of turbos? Twins would just be more responsive down low?
It has the Sirocco front end conversion which makes it look even better.
That has got to be the most epic sounding exhaust note of any EOS!
Hell even on a base 200 HP eos adding AWD would be cool. How much just to add AWD to an eos?
That engine sounds so beautiful!
Dude looks like your father Matt.
But then a 335i convertible will do almost the same performance with stock turbo's and overall another class of a car.
But MAD RESPECT for the HPA crew, always the sickest builds.
I think you'd need a turbo upgrade for 500whp and 600lb ft, I think the stockers run out of puff around 450 but this car is real out of the norm
Thanks for the morning chuckle Matt! This car is truly hilarious. 😂
Same here...love it more and more every day
i almost forgot eos's (?) even exists
is it me or is that a Sirocco nose ?
pretty sure it is indeed a Scirocco front end.
Yes it is
Scirocco
Watch the video you clown.
He says at the end that the customer requested it to be swapped for a Scirocco front end...for obvious reasons...
I had the chance to see their R32 that had made it into Gran Turismo 5 a few years back. They gladly started it up and shot fire out of the exhaust for me to see.

I'm reasonably certain these 2 guys are the same person.
LOL!
It's like they didn't even _try_ to look different.
It's like in Futurama when we get introduced to Lars... Even has the voice!
I’ve got a 2.0t 2009 Eos, definitely not comparable to this, but it’s definitely quick.
3:02 HOLY CRAP!!! That's insane though that a car that miniscule-looking weighs a THOUSAND POUNDS more than my Integra. Dang.
Think watching this video put me in debt
Another Great Build from HPA Motorsports!
I’m the Nich Guy!
Jesus that thing can move, such a cool build to see out of a shop.
I think they had some of these couple of years ago at eurocharged shop in Houston on display

Which engine?

What, do they detail that thing with sandpaper? You can see the swirls as he pans around the car.
LMAO at 3:03, took off like a mad man! Wheel spin from an AWD, I tip my hat!
Def one of the best sounding cars on One Take
Wasn’t the lancia 1.3 v4 out of the fulvia a narrow angle v with a single head too?

Did the modify the tunnel for a driveshaft?
That thing sounds THE BUSINESS
Had to wait till the end for any mention of the Scirocco front end- I'd have like to have heard more about how he managed to fit that.

My mom has a vr6 eos😂 and that thing it pretty fast stock actually!
"He must have over a hundred grand under the hood of that car..."
Wait did it also have a scirroco front end?
I wonder if this turbo kit would fit the 3.6 in Passat chassis and would the US-spec standard auto handle the extra oomph.
I had to look online for one while watching this video. Not a single used 3.2L in Canada available, damn. Lol :(
What a great car!
I want one, gotta love the DSG
Sounds fantastic
love seeing these unique cars!
i wnt my car like this i gotta turbo charge how much for thsi engine
I like this car much more then i expected well engineered
Matt, there is the W and Rotary configuration except inline, flat and V
Zoltan Benedek I think he was referring solely to v6 configurations
A w6 would be hilarious
A v4 with another row in the middle?
W anything is basically two vr motors
Can I just put a Tiguan rear cradle in and get the AWD DSG, make up a drive line and call it a win?
Where can I get that Ducati shirt?
where you guys located.....can i make mine like that
Anyone know what this setup costs to have done?

what wheels are on this beast? looking for some for my CC

I have an r wagon, still contemplating on throwing money at it. Got a remap done, enough for me. Nice
this is a fucking cool idea. props to this guy. 600fp of toruqe in an eos is nuts!
Great seats! What a build!
Did he really insult his viewers calling them broke in a previous video then proceed to ask us to buy his shirts?
Dirk Diggler yes he did...
@TheJoePepper WHAT HE SAY!? I didn't watch that!
That is such a cool sleeper!
This car needs to be in Gran Turismo's list of HPA's
How in the hell is this thing over 3600 lbs? As part of the build, do they pour cement into empty spaces inside the car?
Convertible reinforcement
Looking thicc, Matt!
He never turns down cracking a cold one with the boys Andrew Murphy
what category do boxer engines fit in?
Gonna say flat
Ironically, my computer froze hard for almost a minute during the "CGF" t-shirt promo. That shirt is pretty sweet tho.
Is there a 4 motion swap for a 2012 vw eos?
Contact HPA to ask. Probably is.
