    Breon will be LEAVING the Classic Physique Division, effective: 2025! Is this the right choice? Is he right about Classic being unfair to shorter guys?

    Crazy how Breon is going to 212 , when there's like 80 classic guys that would kill to be top 4 😂

      steve weinberger won’t reward him for his superior muscle maturity density, detail, and presentation. He’s going for the taller guys with less development either: URS . So they are pushing him out like they did George Peterson and Keon .

      @@soulsergeantwell to be fair with you, George wasn't really classic. Keone is such a loss for classic.

      @basdemanaz specially now that he could of had another 7 pounds to put on his frame

    Should have done it alot sooner. He could have had time to adjust and put on more muscle for 212

    Breon is 44 by the way not 46 also, he’s literally in his prime he keeps improving every year (except his outer quads) so him making the switch to 212 will probably benefit him highly. he’d look incredible at around 205

      Dude his legs aren’t in their prime.
      It’s obvious. He’s older now. He’s logically phasing out.
      He’ll do worse in 212. Where the guys have bigger legs.
      He’s better off switching to Men’s Physique. And wear boardshorts.

    I wonder if the only reason that classic favours taller guys is the weight cap? Let’s say there is now weight limit or they increase it even more for shorter people: do you think they would still prefer taller people regardless, since that is just “the look/standard”? Even if weight doesn’t matter, taller guys just look different that shorter guys?
    That’s an honest question, I have no clue regarding judging :D

      Yes you're right, the weight cap is not the only advantage taller guys have. Being taller in and of it's self is an advantage. And it may not be spelled out in the rules or whatever that someone needs to be taller, but being taller draws more eyes to you. Not just in bodybuilding but in real life, tall people stick out. As long as they fill out their frames, tall guys will always have an advantage. Most tall guys can't, that's why bodybuilders are shorter, but when a tall guy does- watch out.
      Thanks for your question btw, I'm not expert either, I'm an internet judge but I hoped that helped! Just my perspective

    I do think Breon in 212 could actually be probably top 5 - 3. He has the great back, he still has the good shape from classic, he has good abs and arms well. But his legs need to come up a lot

    • @projectbodybuilding
      @projectbodybuilding  2 месяца назад +2

      Yeah that's the only thing holding him back- the legs. Not impossible but I'm highly skeptical

      Legs hold him back in classic and will really hold him back in 212. In the 212 good legs go deep into the lineups
