I have a potential adopter, but fear this horrible place will make her rescue only. Positive thoughts please. We can't get there until Saturday, but I called today and am in contact with the volunteer who posted the video. Fingers crossed and prayers it will be a match!
Leslie: They are NOT going to adopt out Shutterfly. She must first be fostered. Please call Milo foundation or Jellie's Place or some local rescue center, tell them that Shutterfly is on the "transfer behavior" list..you must have her ID # which is A0930182 Is the person who wants to adopt willing to foster 1st??
Shutterfly has not been rescued yet. She is still in the county shelter. That is what they do with pregnant dogs, they spay them and don't save the babies. I hope we can find her a rescue soon.
I just spoke with the Martinez Animal Control rep "Sharon"--very nice person--about Shutterfly. The unborn pups were "Overly large" and "developmentally NOT ok". To save Shutterfly's life, they had to abort the pups. Another person, Julie who owns Jelly's Place --a rescue place in San Pablo, just told me that this is called a "water situation" The pups gain a lot of weight quickly, beyond their developmental stages & ultimately they die prematurely AND the mother dies too. Please don't think we've come to the point in this society (at least not in bay area, calif) where even animal control/dog catcher headquarters (much less 'shelters' or rescue centers) willie-nillie abort pups and/or otherwise kill animals.
Please, help her out of there. She deserves a good, happy life with lots of love and stability after all she has gone through. She is such a sweet pooch that has many happy years ahead to live. I truly hope some rescue / foster can help little Shutterfly soon. Please, don´t let this darling run out of time after all she´s gone through.
I'm confused too🤔 I never knew that a shelter aborted babies😐😯😮😓 that's so cruel 🙁😦😟I'm praying for her 💖💖💖sending her healing energy💖💖💜💚💙 I hope someone comes and rescues her💜💜💜💜 please give update💖💖💖 thank you💖💖💖
As i've noted throughout this thread: The pups were aborted because they were 'overly large' and "developmentally' NOT ok. Had Shutterfly been left to birth them she--along with the pups-- would've all died! A horrible death.
loveglacier1: If people continue to worry about Shutterfly, wanting her out of this place, why don't you update your intro to this youtube posting? Or better yet, how about just taking it down. Thanks.
Justice, compassion, laws, live, Love for the dogs, 🙏 Please !
She's a beautiful animal
A real tragedy what she has been through.
I hope that she gets out.

I hope Shutterfly gets a forever home soon!
Her babies were aborted? How sad. Poor thing. That is the first time that I have heard of that happening in one of these rescue dog videos.

bearbayoudrive I appreciate you explaining that.
GET HER OUT OF THERE!!! She obviously has had alot of trauma. Give her the gift of a happy, confident life. Don't let her become a statistic.

bearbayoudrive Thanks for the explanation. I still wonder if any of the pups could have survived if they tried a Ceasarean though.
As of a couple of days ago, Shutterfly is being fostered. Please don't worry about her being in a cage--because she isn't. Thanks.
Stupid humans, doing this to poor Shutterfly! Why? She is so unhappy now. Looks like such a nice dog too....
She got rescued! She is now out of the shelter. so happy for her!
