Have to say awesome channel, and you just got a new sub. Love that you work on the 3 major emulation frontends. Just curious do you lean more towards one or the other. Myself been using launchbox, and batocera for years. Been leaning to launch box myself more so recently on the main beefy pc, using batocera on a bartop arcade I built many years ago, and now with the batocera 35-37 making a lightgun cab since they are making it more simple with the sinden lightguns. I never really dove too deep into retrobat, but I see you have plenty of vids on it. Makes me wonder if it would be good to go that route in future windows builds.

Hi Jamie, Thank you for the useful videos and tips. Are boxart and presentation video for each game saved in the same root folder where the game is after scraping? My question is: Is it better to put each game in a folder (with the same name) so that box art and presentation video for each game will be saved in the game's folder or can I put all my Ps2 .iso's in one directory?
Can it play PS2 games with the existing PS2 saves? thanks Becasue I have PS2 console before, however, it is broken now. If it is possible, I may consider to build a kind of this retro console instead of buying an old PS2 console.
Jamie I need help, I can't get my ps2 to run on batocera it keep saying missing bios and I try to run it anyway but the game wont run. How do I install ps2 bios into batocera? Greatly appreciated.
i tried to install ps2 on the batocera 40 and no luck, there is no ps2 roms folder. I installed the bios files as shown, (case sensitive) and when i added one of my iso's to the manually created "ps2" folder in "roms" folder the enry does not appear when i reboot after doing an update so i am thinking there is a step missing ?
When I use libretro:PCSX2 Emulator it shows the message, that savestates are not supported by this core. Is there a possibility to fix that? The play Emulator does not run well on my system (HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Micro i7-6700T with 16 GB RAM).
@carlburton8062 try updating gamelists or re adding them. Also, maybe wrong bios files. I had to download 2 or 3 different times until I found the right bios files.
Sorry I didn't catch something, are you supposed to get the bios files from the internet then and then paste them on the batocera bios folder? Is that correct?
Sorry man I'm new to this and it seems that many version updates on Batocera change a lot of things within the system so sometimes it is hard to follow since the files are not found at the exact same location anymore
For me, despite the files being in the right place, pcsx2 on batocera does not play nice from the get go. I needed to switch from standalone to libreto:pcsx2 to get my games to run.
@martinlopez3650 I just saw that theres a line in the pcsx2.ini file that needs to be deleted. Line 23 for save states. Reddit users say deleting it fixes pcsx2 allegedly
Mine doesn’t show a settings. Just system, cdvd, config, debug, capture and help. When I go to config it shows gamepad settings but not controllers. Just configurations for keyboard.
Do you have any issues mapping my remote abd making the profile. It uses the default and the triangle and square buttons are reversed? Also, I cannot apply a hotkey button for pcsx2 menu while in the game because it keeps reverting to keyboard escape key.

@richardkenzel633 Beta isn't stable, I prefer to give advice and help for systems that function as they should. V37 hasn't been out for too long so stable 38 should be at least a couple of months away.
Many thanks for these explanations ! Unfortunately I can not understand when I leave the pcsx2 config app, the settings are not saved... :( what could possibly go wrong ? I can't manage to make the controller profile loaded as shared by default...
If i make additional settings in pcsx2-config (i.e. controller sensitivity) i can see that it writes it correct to pcsx2.ini. But as soon i start a game within batocera, those settings are lost. How can i preserve those settings? I think that batocera passes settings to emulationstation which will generate pcsx2.ini on each game start. And if i start game from pcsx2-config the controller is not working at all.
